- This is a more in depth guide on the replay mode in PUBG as well as some basic tips from a filmmaking point of view to improve your cinematic creations utilizing the replay mode. Although guides and tutorials have been made already, this one takes things a step further and goes into the details. This will really help those aspiring creatives who don't know where to start or have an idea on basic filmmaking techniques I utilize as I make films and content for companies like Reebok, Cellucor, St Joes University, etc. My passion is film first and PUBG allows me to make films while playing, so what's better?! Love this game...although sometimes I hate it...

Hey ! Thanks for the tutorial. I do have some issues with the panoramic shots, they are too fast, even holding Left CTRL. Does using a controller allow you to control the speed ? That would be insane !
David Lestrade Unfortunately no. The controller only allows smooth panning now. It sucks but I’m hoping they fix that

i wish they put in a feature like in League of Legends so that the camera is automatic around the map and focuses where the action is. LIke how awesome would that be if we could see all the fights in one game? Do you think they will implement that in PUBG? thanks awesome video
That would be awesome! Hopefully they do as I think it has a lot of potential to grow. Right now we're quite limited but i do thing they will add something like that.

Okay! I noticed, mostly in de analysis videos, that sometimes you would put text on the screen while your voice over was saying something else. I found this quite overwhelming, as I couldn't focus on the two things at once, leaving me to either pause the video to read the text or rewind to listen to what you were saying. The other thing I noticed is that sometimes there wouldn't be enough time to read the text on the screen quick enough before it was gone. Other than that, your videos are put together really well!

Thank you man! Appreciate the kind words. I use Nvidia Shadowplay to record the clips. I put filters on first as I'm in the replay mode with the Nvidia Freestyle filters where I can add color, depth of field, etc and get the look I want. Then I edit the footage in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Really nice video! Especially for someone like me who's new to editing and film making in general. I've created 3 cinematic music videos so far, but I gotta learn more, much more, so this is awesome! For me it's the panning while editing that frightens me, lol.

I think it comes down to inexperience, because most of the time I know I should probably use panning for that specific shot, but I just don't know how to implement and make it look good. But I'm gonna keep trying! I've really come to love editing. 👊
Kingpin Crazy You’re right and a lot of it comes down to creative decision making and experience. Best way to learn quick is to study what others do in those similar situations and apply it. I’ve been doing this for around 10 years so it comes natural and I took a lot of what I learned from the greats and applied it in my own way. Just keep at It man, passion always prevails
I took your advice, scoped out a few videos and then tried to apply some panning/cropping to a few clips I had laying around. I must say; even though it's not perfect whatsoever it really made some of the scenes pop (at least more than before). Thank you! nvidia freestyle has the depth of field effect, you can adjust the focus point, blur and bokeh intensity and so on. but it's in a broken beta state, I can only managed to get the dof work once.
I take it that there is still no "Rewind" key? I sooo need this.

Have you ever tried to use Nvidia Freestyle? Because it allows you to create great depth of field. This replay system is not enough to make a great movie/edit. I hope they work on this and release new features for replay system. (or maybe someone develop moviemaking tool if they allow to use it)

You're welcome. Yes of course better than nothing but this is the game which has been popular in a short time and reach millions of players. This game has to have a great replay system sooner or later.

TwisseN [Inactive] Very true! Gonna check that link out, thanks again! Hopefully you can apply these filters to clips already recorded because that would be really difficult to run around in a non custom game and be able to mess around with the settings
I'm gonna be inactive for awhile but can't you enable this in replay mode? I think it works but as I learned (haven't test it yet) this filters we applied, can not be recorded by recording programs. I don't know this is true or not. I think the biggest problem in replay system is that the replays you have (all replays) is not being useable after a replay system update.
Been wanting to try to do some cinematics but I have a problem where when I move the camera using W, it locks onto a target if I hover over someone with the camera. Any idea what the solution is?

Tech Game Live I used a controller in the replay mode. Now I use nvidia freestyle filters as well to add depth of field.

Hi, thx for tutorial, i would like to ask one thing, so I have a scene where I headshoted one guy with Kar98 and what I want to do is the effect where I make camera look on my character then after she shoots I would do slomo where I bring the camera with the bullet right into his head if you know what I mean

RG-Media New guns, cosmetics, vehicles anything. Just look at Fortnite. They are constantly adding stuff even if it’s a grenade or a campfire. It changes the meta and gives us something new to analyze

KarDaGaming Nope you can use free music through RUclips’s music library or subscribe to art list like I do which is $200 a year unlimited use of original music.
Any free editing software out there that is sufficient... Obviously it means having to cut corners and not having all the bells and whistles but for now I wanna just start with something basic.. Any tips would be great!
InFiddle _ Davinci Resolve is free I believe and has some awesome pro features. The pro version costs but you won’t need that. Probably your only good solution that’s free. Most people use premiere or Vegas or final cut on Mac.
