I really do like this list. I am trying a few adjustments though I really am starting to understand and respect your reasoning behind only playing 4 cats however I personally like to play 5 cats (3 white 2 black) for the time being and my reasoning for that is because I am still learning some of the non-linear "combos" that this deck can do. Also I know black goat is an very good card but I personally think it is too much of a big brain card for me to play in a sense also it is kind of an expensive card. for those who are looking for some cheaper options to replace both mulcharmy (the current one and the other one that comes out in rage of the abyss) I will recommend the following For the mulcharmy replacement budget option I would concider running 3 copies of phantazmay as it is a free summon when your opponent special summons a link monster and it does have a targeting negation by discarding a card (it also destroys the card as well) and it lets you draw cards equal to the number of link monsters they control +1 (but you do have to also to shuffle cards from your hand into the Deck equal to the number of Link Monsters they control). For Black Goat laughs the best card that I've personally have been testing out is lost wind/Titanocider. Both of these cards work almost the exact same way but they are slightly different. Both cards can reset themselves from the grave when your opponent special summons from the Extra Deck (Lost wind banishes once it leaves the field while Titanocider doesn't) Lost Wind Target 1 face-up Special Summoned monster on the field; negate its effects, also its original ATK is halved. If a monster is Special Summoned from your opponent's Extra Deck, while this card is in your GY (except during the Damage Step): You can Set this card, but banish it when it leaves the field. Titanocider Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck; change its ATK to 0, and if you do, negate its effects. If your opponent Special Summons a monster(s) from the Extra Deck while this card is in your GY, except the turn this card was sent to the GY: You can Set this card. You can only use each effect of "Titanocider" once per turn.
As for hand traps they’re playing 3 veiler 3 mulcharmy 2 nib but a lot of top decks are pretty good against droll, yubel can play well through it with samsara and they can also play around it with phantom, tenpai doesn’t really care about droll, snake eye can still technically do amblo flameberge if they draw ash but their consistency has been hit so droll will be better, it does also hurt the fire king engine, fiendsmith, and upcoming azamina engine. Also, droll with mulcharmy is kinda bad so u would have to choose 1 or the other most of the time, and mulcharmy has better overall advantage imo. As for grave, I didn’t really think about it but it seems really good this format, it stops yubel names, fire king namesflamberge, fiendsmith, sharvara, tenpai synchros, most synchro decks in general, branded (although it got hit), and probably a lot more
hello caleb, always happy to look at your lists as I'm new to Purrely. Only question I have this time is: don't you think this list loses too often from hts? I feel like there are too few consistency cards. I was thinking about playing a discard package like broww and/or the shaddoll pack, what do you think? Also another card i like a lot is talent
@@francy21_6 I totally agree with you on the fact that it’s harder to play through ht. I will definitely consider playing talents in the future. I haven’t looked much into discard engines since I’m playing black goat but I will definitely test it out. I’ve also been testing a blind second breaker build with main mulcharmy and with the sixth draw the deck is just as consistent. The build looks promising. Thanks for your support and suggestions!
I really like your list, and I agree that hand traps are probobly the better way to play purrely without 3 prospy. What is your opponion of ghost ogre? It might be a good side card for tenpai if you want to beat it even harder. also, what would be a good budget version of black goat? I am thinking book of eclipse to beat d.d.d wave king, that also works going first. I assume that this list is more geared to the trap line for turn one, so you should be searching 2 sleepy 1 delicious off my friend, great video btw
@@joshuaschwartz7840 Thank you so much for the support. I am not opposed on playing ogre but I think if I were to main a different ht it would be droll. Book of eclipse is very nice but the reason I’m playing black goat is for the good discard. If you can’t play black goat I’d say don’t use eclipse and bump the ht up or main dark ruler for the yubel matchup, or keep using eclipse because it seems pretty decent when you go first as well. Another card I wish I had included in this list is talents to help with ht. All these changes are purely based on preference though.
Nice video, you got your self another sub 👍 I am on purrely for a month now got 4th at a OTS I enterd. Your insight is realy helpfull. Keep up the good work!
Hey, I’ve been trying a list with a line of 2 crossout 1 talents 1 called and 14 hand traps and it has been doing wonders. But since there is only one Prost now I’ve been wanting to try a list like the one Joshua Schmidt played on dortmund, but with 3 dogwood in the side for time and 12 breakers with 5 cats. We need to fix the yubel matchup bc caesar shits on us and I don’t think a hand trap approach is consistent enough, so I’ve been trying dark rulers and lava golems in the main with 2 ttt and droplet and it works. If you’re lucky and open 2 breakers, which you have like a 60% chance of doing, u blow up the board, and post side u can side even more and go up to 15 to nuke the board. Just some food for thought if you feel like testing those approaches too ;p
Hey, thanks for the support. I have already made a deck very similar to the one you are thinking of. If you see in my channel I have a blind second breaker deck and my other list from 4 weeks ago is also very breaker centered. Feel free to check them out!
Cool list. Glad to see you are a big purrely player. You don't like fenrir? I know it loses to droll, but its such a good card imo. I was running a pure going 2nd build before this list with Sphere mode and DRNM and what not. That being said, why are you not playing droll? it hits a lot of decks right now especially the decks that survived.
@@puzzledwhale2376 thank you for asking. I do like fenrir but to me I feel like I would rather not lose harder to droll and give my opponent extra draws off of mulcharmy that can be easily be avoided. That being said I am a fan of fenrir and what it adds to the deck, a little while back I was testing a larger kash engine and it was pretty strong. After I posted this vid I did end up putting drolls in the main and moving mulcharmy to the side because as you said droll is very strong right now. About a week ago I was on a blind second list as well and I was performing pretty well with it. Now I think it is an even better call to play it after most decks got weakened the breakers will be even more effective. I’m just not playing it right now because I want to see how the format shifts.
Yeah for sure. So for yubel I typically like to side in my lava golems and dark rulers for three black goat 2 nib and 1 street. And going first I side in 3 fissure 3 cosmic for 3 mulcharmy 2 nib and 1 imperm. D barrier is also an option so if you want to side that in take out all the imperms and 1 veiler as well. Against tenpai I typically always side in 3 d barrier and cosmic and take out charmy and 2 nib and a veiler. Now against snake I side in 3 lava golem and dark ruler and take out the called by and veilers and 2 nib. Going first I side in fissures and cosmics and take out charmy nibs and 1 imperm.
Hmm maybe if you play 6 cats that could work but then your cutting nonengine down to play more un needed engine. If you play 6 cats you’ll end up bricking on them and the odds you see both heralded and a fairy are pretty low. I haven’t tested it yet and I you like them I’m not saying you should stop. I really just need to test them. Thanks for you suggestion!
Hey man Nice list did you consider playing the Agent link 2 its really good against floodgates and its coverage against (runick)stun . Also do you think almiraj + knightmare phoenix are good budget options for anima + sp Anyways keep the grind
i have added 2x Talents and 1x Thrust to the deck and it has worked decently at least I don't lose to a single HT as I had been losing in the past. I'm afraid to play less numbers of lv1 cats, I don't want to, I can't. Also Silhouhatter is very nice
Wow another amazing video from my favorite purely player playing 2-2 is crazy though my freind titer and me think u should play 5 trust me my freind titer is 16 yet somehow he won and didn’t win dragon duel this year (he’s a little special)
@user-ef3yp5cz8v from what I've been testing and what I've seen if you don't feel comfortable running 2 and 2 (like myself) and you want to run 3 and 2 you run 3 white and 2 black. Yes black let's you instantly add the field spell or my friend to hand but it's a hard OPT whereas white cat to excavate 3 isn't. Overall it's really up to personal preference.
