Canadian here 🙋 Although I grew up in the 90s, Stan Rogers' music had been part of my childhood as my parents used to put his songs on repeatedly. Brittney's voice blessed every soul that came across this. Love their energy! Congrats on 17k milestones, Chase 🎊🎉
In an interview, Brittney revealed how low budget they have to go for their videos. One early video had only a $500 CAD budget and they had to add a big pack of bacon, which put them over budget. So Canadian. Ya, they ate it afterward. If I remember correctly, Nightwish spent €500,000 on their music video while UTA spent $10,000 CAD on their latest one. I guess it's up to us fans to move UTA into the big time.
Stan Rogers Death: "Rogers died alongside 22 other passengers most likely of smoke inhalation on June 2, 1983, while traveling on Air Canada Flight 797 (a McDonnell Douglas DC-9) after performing at the Kerrville Folk Festival. There were initially no visible flames, and after attempts to extinguish the fire were unsuccessful, smoke filled the cabin. Upon landing, the plane's doors were opened, allowing the five crew and 18 of the passengers to escape, but approximately 60 to 90 seconds into the evacuation the oxygen rushing in from outside caused a flash fire. Rogers had initially been one of the passengers to escape, but he at some point re-entered the plane to assist in the effort to help others escape."
A big reason so many people dies was because the smoke made visibility in the cabin basically nil, it was the accident that lead to all the extra floor lighting in current aircraft along with requirements that the passengers and crew can evacuate a plane in less than 90s. Rogers, IIRC, was found just inside the door and a number of the survivors reported that the only reason they got out was because he just stood there in the smoke shouting for people to follow the sound of his voice.
This is where my nerdy audio engineer side pops out. Yes, you're right on the reverb not masking the voice, and this is because of one of the most overlooked and ignored yet most important parameters of the reverb: pre-delay. With more pre-delay you get the psychoacoustic effect of listening to the voice really close to you and in a bigger room. This is becausein a real setting it's so close to you that you listen to the original sound first and the reflection takes a while to bounce off a wall or surface and come back to you. If there's no pre-delay, the reverb starts at the same time as the voice, "masking" it. This gives the illusion of being in the same large room but much further away, because the original sound and the reflections will reach your ear (almost) at the same time. It baffles me how most amateur and medium level engineers ignore this. Reverb should be used for depth, the same way as panning is used for left and right positioning. If you want reverb merely as an effect without adding the illusion of depth and without it creating a "soundscape" as some call it, you should use a plate reverb, a spring reverb or a non-linear reverb, since those don't imitate space, but devices. Seriously thinking on starting a channel to analyze all of these songs from a technical perspective, to explain why it sounds how it sounds...
yes please! I was an amateur soundtech at some conventions over the last 20 years but i did mainly discussion-panels and theatre/musical - production (fans doing stuff for fans, most couldn't sing if their life depended on it, but the dancing went well, most of the time, until someone fell over a monitor and off the stage into the crowd...); live music was done by a more experienced friend, so i did main stage-hand for that.
You prolly dont give a shit but does someone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost the password. I would love any help you can give me.
@Evan Edwin thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Swede here. I only discovered Stan Rogers because we used to do a bunch of pirate parties and some friends used to sing Quilty's version of Barret's Privateers (which is a cover of a version some guy did from what he pieced together from people singing in pubs believing it was an old traditional folk song). I looked into it and found Stan Rogers and the man was a damn treasure. There aren't a lot of live performances of him online tho which is a crying shame.
I absolutely love Stan, too! My mom saw him in concert and had a story about him flirting a little! Barrett's Privateers is s classic, but I only really like to hear one version on my playlist. There was a live version that was notable because he lost his breath halfway through abd had to take a break. The crowd pitched in and there was a really funny crowd interaction caught on tape. It's a very spirited version of the song! Stan always sounded better live.
Havent watched it yet and havent heared the song. Aint no better company than Chase to watch and listen to something new. Keep up the great work man. 🎸
WOW! I am American (born & raised, with European ancestry < Welsh, Irish, Scottish & English>)... I've never had the chance to visit Canada & know little about it, aside from what I've seen on travel-type shows on PBS and the best sport ever of hockey, but this song made me feel patriotic and inspired. Must hear the original now. Thanks for this Chase, and to those who requested it. :)
Poor Stan was only 33 when he died. The plane he was on from Dallas caught fire so they had to land. He got out, but apparently went back in to help other passengers escape. 😢
7:06 Welcome, Chase, to Western Canada. We have mountains, lakes, rivers, and gently twisty roads that invade minimally on it all. Oh, and we have Unleash the Archers as a national treasure too. I love being Canadian!
My first time hearing this song (and the third. and the fifth), I was crying my eyes out by the end of it. I couldn't tell you why, or even whether the tears were from a sad place or a happy one, it just hit me. God bless UtA. It's been 20 years since I fell in love with a band this hard.
You have some of the best musical analysis on RUclips. And I love how you can find something to love in every song. But come on, what's not to love about Unleash the Archers? Good work brother.
Stan Rogers was a brilliant songwriter, and his resonant baritone was something special too. Give him a listen. Had he lived to hear this I can imagine the booming laugh at this cover - UTA are something special.

I have been one for Heartless World from the beginning.....Brittney's vocals on that track are haunting, beautiful, and soaring all at once.....a most excellent remake of an underrated original.
That was really incredible. Where were they when I was at the peak of my powermetal days?! Early 20s me playing world of warcraft to Rhapsody, Sonata Arctica, Nightwish, Dragonforce and all the like cause it just felt so appropriate and massive 😂
As someone with no musical education or skill, but a huge love for everything UtA put into their tracks, seeing how much their music affects you (who does know what they're doing) is very pleasing. I would love it if you react to The Wind That Shapes The Land by Unleash The Archers. It's another one of their masterpieces, currently my joint favourite from them with Dreamcrusher and Time Stands Still, but beyond that it takes you on a journey. From start to finish, it's constantly changing and evolving and feels like they have perfectly blended the best parts of 3 or 4 songs together seamlessly. Part of me hates that they didn't make one of their epic story time videos to go with it, but on the other hand the lack of visual stimulus forces you to really focus on the sounds and it's so worth it.
Hi, Chase. I am 38 years old. I love Heavy Metal. Heavy Metal is my life :). I just want to thank you for your reactions to Unleash The Archers. Your comments is great. I like your work. Keep up the great work :-).
This is a great driving song in British Columbia.I find myself paying more attention to the terrain than I usually would. Can't say enough about these kids.Good folks as well, every interaction I've seen has struck me as very...Canadian?Psst,world,pay attention to UTA.
Always wanna watch your videos as soon as they are released! You're doing a great job, and I love how you analyse music and explain it such that we are able to understand it, thank you so much! Cheers from Singapore!
Brittanys voice is one of my favorite in the world of metal she never over does it or underplays the rest of the band its always beautiful when a band can work together and not want to over do a particular band member one of the reasons i love nightwish as well
Chase, thank you so much for this!!!! Have a listen to some Stan, he was a gift from the gods. His loss has left a HUGE wound in the Canadian soul. I am a Maritmer, he will forever be part of my bones. Gord Downie has the same kind of God like status , give The Hip a listen too.
Well I was just about to watch the new Sabaton History vid of the D Day landings...... nope! UTA first!!!! Edit. Holy ships! I think I've found my new anthem! That was epic!
UTA are my favorite musical discovery of the last 5 years, found them about the time apex came out, been obsessed ever since, Nightwish is simply the best band in the world In my book, but UTA are solidly in the #2 spot on my list of favorite bands
I need to thank you Chase. (BTW - I am Canadian as are many of the other posters below) The first reaction of yours I watched was your collab with the stunning Julia on While Your Lips are Still Red by Nightwish. I have been deep into that Nighwish rabbit hole as of late. (PLEASE DO MORE WITH HER) But I never would have found Unleash The Archers if it weren't for you, so thank you. I want to do my own reaction channel thanks to you Tank and Julia, so I am trying my damnedest not to dive into your reactions like I did with Nightwish, although there is most of the Tarjia and Annette years I have only merely scratched the surface on. And I am leaving Human Nature alone as well for a special occassion. Long story short, you are incredible. It's been forever since I have heard Mr. Stan Rodgers original version, I'd also suggest Barretts Privateers. He will always remain a Canadian Icon. Thanks Chase
Also, thank you Chase for taking the time to do the proper research on the song and video prior to the reaction. You have listen to the fans as well and that is why your reactions are top notch and steadily gaining popularity and notice in the community. Bravo!
I had no idea that this song had so much history. i first heard this song about a year ago, but the version i heard before UTA's was by the real Mckenzies so i thought it was originally a Irish tune.... sooooo sorry Canada. AS SOON AS I HEARD THIS SONG I WAS HOOKED ON THIS BAND. i was going to comment and tell you to listen to the real Mckenzies version before UTA's...... but time is a thing and i was 5 months too late all time favorite songs 1. Northwest Passage 2. Ripping through time 3.Call me immortal love the reactions keep em up
Hey, love your break-downs. I was playing guitar on omegle the other day and found myself talking to a kid who was playing eric clapton on guitar, but had never written his own music. he had skills - but when I pressed him on playing something original, he had little riff which was neat. I found myself talking to him, and realised I was talking about build ups, pace, etc, and slow downs and thought of you. And then he tried something new, and made something with a bit more substance. Anyways, keep it up - dig it!
I went to a concert with UTA and Dragonforce right before all the lockdown began. I only knew Awakening at the time and went to the show a Dragonforce fan and left a UTA fan. This song was so much fun with all the local UTA fans singing along and it just fit so well with the style of song. I look forward to seeing them again and being one of the fans singing along on this one. I may have also left with a bit of a crush on Brittney...
A little piece of history, the Northwest Passage was early North American settlers attempt to find a waterway connecting the Atlantic to the Pacific to make the journey from Europe to Asia & India easier. It currently exists just north of Canada and past Alaska. Many originally believed the Great Lakes was this waterway.
I hate traveling and am scared shitless by the open ocean but this damn song makes me want to actually take the northwest passage at some point in my life.´To me they use the reverb perfectly cause thats probably what it would sound like if they played live in a big arena, so it more a simulation of a live performance than an enhancing effect. Love the reaction to "ok we speed metal now"
IMMORTAL IS MORE THAN A NAME! NORTHWEST PASSAGE Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea Tracing one warm line through a land so wide and savage And make a Northwest Passage to the sea Westward from the Davis Strait 'tis there it was said to lie The sea route to the Orient for which so many died Seeking gold and glory, leaving weathered, broken bones And a long-forgotten lonely cairn of stones Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea Tracing one warm line through a land so wide and savage And make a Northwest Passage to the sea Three centuries thereafter, I take passage overland In the footsteps of brave Kelso, where his "sea of flowers" began Watching cities rise before me, then behind me sink again This tardiest explorer, driving hard across the plain Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea Tracing one warm line through a land so wide and savage And make a Northwest Passage to the sea And through the night, behind the wheel, the mileage clicking west I think upon Mackenzie, David Thompson and the rest Who cracked the mountain ramparts and did show a path for me To race the roaring Fraser to the sea Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea Tracing one warm line through a land so wide and savage And make a Northwest Passage to the sea How then am I so different from the first men through this way Like them I left a settled life, I threw it all away To seek a Northwest Passage at the call of many men To find there but the road back home again Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea Tracing one warm line through a land so wide and savage And make a Northwest Passage to the sea Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea Tracing one warm line through a land so wide and savage And make a Northwest Passage to the sea
Been a fan of Unleash the Archers from the Demons of the AstroWaste days... they just seem to get better and better over the years. I wouldn't mind hearing a song fully in their starting 'folk' style of this song.
First of your videos I've seen, and super impressed. Really nice way of dropping knowledge and points of note through the song. Are you a Saffa by chance?
That is indeed beautiful scenery. We usually have to fight over the keys for who gets to drive. Used to be a favourite for us motorcyclists till the local constabulary errr "dis-incentivised" it.
Some Unleash the Archers news for you... From a recent interview with Brittany Slayes... - Britteny said the band were supposed to crawl out of a garbage dumpster at the end of the "Abyss" video. However they couldn't get a "clean/safe" one in time for the video. - There should be 3 more videos from the "Abyss" album... - Their bass player Nikko left the band in 2018... They will only use studio musicians for bass recording now. They also have a permanent touring bassist... - The next video should be VERY SOON... Possibly later this week July 16/17.
Great job once again Chase! Such a great video as well... You can tell the Britteny's apart by the rings she is wearing... Evil Britteny won in this timeline...
Chase, congratulations on the 17k, very deserved. I'd take my chances on four Britneys, but hey, if Avantasia invites her sometime, we'll see something similar... The undisputed kings of concept albums are still Rhapsody of Fire. If, like me, you missed when they made their peak run, they're mandatory. 🔥💪👌😁 I also recomended André Matos a bunch of times because there's a teasing style to his music and his performance, almost between Devin and Tuomas... don't be put off because the official video has so few views, everyone uses an older, unofficial one with 2.8M. Cheers and thanks for the Sunday vid!
I would like to second Luis, you should definitely check out Avantasia. Tobias Sammet formed Avantasia in 1999 as a studio project to create some kind of metal opera. Most of their songs feature guest singers and musicians from all over the world, people Tobias had always wanted to work with. Among those are names like Alice Cooper, Klaus Meine (Scorpions), Dee Snider, Shaorn den Adel (Within Temptation), Marco Hietala (Nightwish), Hansi Kürsch (Blind Guardian), Jon Oliva (Savatage), Geoff Tate (Queensryche), Ronnie Atkins (Pretty Maids), Jorn Lande (Masterplan), Biff Byford (Saxon) Michael Kiske (Helloween), Bob Catley (Mangum), David DeFeis (Virgin Steele), Candice Night, Amanda Somerville and many more. Suggested songs are "Let the Storm Descend Upon You" (feat. Jorn Lande, Ronnie Atkins, ), "The Raven Child" (feat. Jorn Lande and Hansi Kürsch), "Dying for an Angel" (feat Klaus Meine), "Mystery of a Blood Red Rose". Their live performances are amazing - concerts lasting 3.5h are normal for them.

Love this vid.. shows video of the area around where i live here in beautiful BC canada.. and im also glad you didnt hop on the band wagon and did a reaction to the new song..not saying i dont want you to .. im actually looking forward to that reaction from you .. anyway.. love this song .. and you are still my fav reactionist!!!
Keep this up and we're going to have to petition them to grant you Canadian citizenship. Maybe make this version our national anthem too. Thanks for this one, that was great. If you're interested at all, would it be possible to have a look at another Canadian band named Protest The Hero, the song "From the Sky"? They have been around for a long while but just dropped a new album in June, progressive metal kind of in your wheelhouse I think. Thank-you sir for the consideration and the excellent content and analysis, as always.
Thanks Chase. Another great song from UTA. However, not the only recent cover from them. Last year they did another fantastic cover of a song from a legendary 70s Canadian rock band called Tease. Here's an idea. Do a double reaction. To the original song back to back with UTA's cover. It's a great 70s style rock song and UTA really do it justice with a brilliant updated sound that is true to the original. Here are the links to the original first and then the cover ruclips.net/video/sDs4izi9rhU/видео.html ruclips.net/video/FUSjIrPs3bQ/видео.html
When you watch the video again, watch Brittany's hands, pay attention to the rings. The video is pure silly, but you can sort out which Brittany is which.
This is the most Canadian thing looking in as a non-canadian. Narrowly beating Letterkenny and Francis Pegahmagabow .... and yes, thats a clumsy lead-in to ask for some Sabaton, Chase. "Ghost in the trenches" is good, so is ... well, a lot. I like the energy of "screaming eagles", thats workout music right there. Or the pathos of "Last dying breath"
And yes, I will bring up again that Sabaton just happens to include the husband of Floor and father to her daughter. Because some people just have it all.
First - absolutely LOVE this cover. Two criticisms - I thought that they lost the opportunity to take a few dramatic pauses. Couple places where skipping a few beats would have really enhanced the impact. Second criticism - I REALLY wish we could have seen more of her singing / the band performing on the video. Decent vid, but for this, I really wanted to see her leaning into the mic, and the guys rending the guitars and slamming the drums.
@@ChaseCarneson I'm ashamed, when i got back to the overview of your chanel I discovered that I already saw the reaction in question :) Sorry Chase, have a damn good day !
Asi es el power metal amigo, tiene esos cambios que no esperas. Hay otras canciones con partes muchos mas epicas, te recomiendo este subgenero. Saludos desde Chile!
Love the video mate! I know you've got plenty of good recommendations to go for, but I'll give you mine anyway: "Ne Obliviscaris - and plague flowers the Caleidoscope live" and "August burns red - guardians" Have a good day :)
I think you are ready to face Arjen Anthony Lucassen. You know now how great Tuomas is and how amazing songs he can write. Arjen is the same level of composing songs as Tuomas and he is like Andrew Loydd Webber when it comes to Shows and stage and theatre. Arjen's band is call AYREON and it has started in 1995 as a concept album, scifi story, it was so great and succesful he continued with dozen albums now, he created whole "universe", every album since then is adding to that storyline. With multiple singers each time. I would recommend to start you journey with song (only 11 singers there, with a small surprise for you) :) AYREON - The Day That The World Breaks Down

Always wanna watch your videos as soon as they are released! You're doing a great job, and I love how you analyse music and explain it such that we are able to understand it, thank you so much! Cheers from Singapore!
Would love if you reacted to Amon Amarth - First Kill maybe?
Brittanys voice is one of my favorite in the world of metal she never over does it or underplays the rest of the band its always beautiful when a band can work together and not want to over do a particular band member one of the reasons i love nightwish as well
Chase, thank you so much for this!!!! Have a listen to some Stan, he was a gift from the gods. His loss has left a HUGE wound in the Canadian soul. I am a Maritmer, he will forever be part of my bones. Gord Downie has the same kind of God like status , give The Hip a listen too.
If he listens to Stan and The Hip he's gonna have to listen to Rush as well to get the Canadian trifecta
100% ma'am. New Brunswicker here. I was a young lad of 14 when he died, but I still remember his music because my grandparents were huge fans.
Getty Lee, Stan Rogers, Don Cherry and Wayne Gretzky would be the men on our Rushmore...
@@XMorbidReignX Replace Don Cherry with Gord Downie and all is good
Franklin and his men, the "Terror" and the "Erebus", epic song, cool video and great reaction. top!
(BTW - I am Canadian as are many of the other posters below)
The first reaction of yours I watched was your collab with the stunning Julia on While Your Lips are Still Red by Nightwish.
Thanks Chase
i'd forgotten how much i love this cover! thank you for reminding me! excellent reaction as usual :D
Also, thank you Chase for taking the time to do the proper research on the song and video prior to the reaction. You have listen to the fans as well and that is why your reactions are top notch and steadily gaining popularity and notice in the community. Bravo!
what an awesome way to end the week and get into the next one! thanks, been waiting for another UTA for like forever :)
We’ve missed seeing you react to Devin Townsend! I could tell you loved Kingdom. Their performance of “Grace” at Royal Albert is amazing.
I had no idea that this song had so much history. i first heard this song about a year ago, but the version i heard before UTA's was by the real Mckenzies so i thought it was originally a Irish tune.... sooooo sorry Canada. AS SOON AS I HEARD THIS SONG I WAS HOOKED ON THIS BAND. i was going to comment and tell you to listen to the real Mckenzies version before UTA's...... but time is a thing and i was 5 months too late
all time favorite songs
1. Northwest Passage
2. Ripping through time
3.Call me immortal
love the reactions keep em up
5:am breakfast and Chase.
Nightwish yesterday, must be the 'Archers this morning. Who the hell hates Mondays when we start like that?
Hey, love your break-downs. I was playing guitar on omegle the other day and found myself talking to a kid who was playing eric clapton on guitar, but had never written his own music. he had skills - but when I pressed him on playing something original, he had little riff which was neat. I found myself talking to him, and realised I was talking about build ups, pace, etc, and slow downs and thought of you. And then he tried something new, and made something with a bit more substance. Anyways, keep it up - dig it!
This is fantastic. Really made me smile.
What a lovely and thoughtful reaction to this amazing song! - Signed A Native Pacific Northwesterner and punk rocker
listened to this for the first time today and being from the same city as them this song became an instant fav and really hit home
Oh shit i missed this. Good ol stan rogers - Canadian icon!
interesting note all the ex band members show up in the video. Its their names on the tomb stone.
So I don't know if you've checked, but they are starting a tour in the UK in August of this year, assuming everything has fully settled by then.
Man, would have loved to see a breakdown f the original after this one.
That's not a bad idea actually
@@ChaseCarneson Dude you need to listen to the Mary Ellen Carter by Stan. My all time favourite song
Thanks to global warming, the Passage is actually becoming useful. 'course tons of other things are going wrong up North because of the warming...
So glad you react to this song and per usual you got all the little details. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the more darker corners of metal
NORTHWEST PASSAGE
Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage
To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea
Tracing one warm line through a land so wide and savage
And make a Northwest Passage to the sea
Westward from the Davis Strait 'tis there it was said to lie
The sea route to the Orient for which so many died
Seeking gold and glory, leaving weathered, broken bones
And a long-forgotten lonely cairn of stones
Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage
To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea
Tracing one warm line through a land so wide and savage
And make a Northwest Passage to the sea
Three centuries thereafter, I take passage overland
In the footsteps of brave Kelso, where his "sea of flowers" began
Watching cities rise before me, then behind me sink again
This tardiest explorer, driving hard across the plain
Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage
To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea
Tracing one warm line through a land so wide and savage
And make a Northwest Passage to the sea
And through the night, behind the wheel, the mileage clicking west
I think upon Mackenzie, David Thompson and the rest
Who cracked the mountain ramparts and did show a path for me
To race the roaring Fraser to the sea
Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage
To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea
Tracing one warm line through a land so wide and savage
And make a Northwest Passage to the sea
How then am I so different from the first men through this way
Like them I left a settled life, I threw it all away
To seek a Northwest Passage at the call of many men
To find there but the road back home again
Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage
To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea
Tracing one warm line through a land so wide and savage
And make a Northwest Passage to the sea
Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage
To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea
Tracing one warm line through a land so wide and savage
And make a Northwest Passage to the sea
Thx!
I always get amazed by her voice
Been a fan of Unleash the Archers from the Demons of the AstroWaste days... they just seem to get better and better over the years. I wouldn't mind hearing a song fully in their starting 'folk' style of this song.
First of your videos I've seen, and super impressed. Really nice way of dropping knowledge and points of note through the song.
Are you a Saffa by chance?
Yeah this is in my playlist... it is so catchy :)
Loved the original and the cover. Am learning a whole lot too. Thanks!
I am no Canadian but I really wish I was. This song is so beautiful and emotional.
How can you not love this?
Agreed. UTA is absolute fire.
That is indeed beautiful scenery. We usually have to fight over the keys for who gets to drive. Used to be a favourite for us motorcyclists till the local constabulary errr "dis-incentivised" it.
That ending somehow makes me think of Christopher Nolan's The Prestige, if you know what I mean.
Hair looking fresh today.
Love that feeling of building up the song has. Not every one gets it right.
Speechless. If I could make a request, I would love to see your reaction to Shadow Guide off the Apex album. That song is fire!
OMG!!!! Dude! Shadow Guide is Pure Pedal to the METAL!!!!!!
Great job once again Chase! Such a great video as well... You can tell the Britteny's apart by the rings she is wearing... Evil Britteny won in this timeline...
UTA and Devin Townshend.. Pride of Canada
Since you've reacted to the unofficial Canadian anthem, how about reacting to Alestorm - Fucked With An Anchor, the unofficial Scottish anthem?
Chase, congratulations on the 17k, very deserved.
I'd take my chances on four Britneys, but hey, if Avantasia invites her sometime, we'll see something similar...
The undisputed kings of concept albums are still Rhapsody of Fire. If, like me, you missed when they made their peak run, they're mandatory. 🔥💪👌😁
I also recomended André Matos a bunch of times because there's a teasing style to his music and his performance, almost between Devin and Tuomas... don't be put off because the official video has so few views, everyone uses an older, unofficial one with 2.8M.
I hope she appears on an Ayreon album one day.

Hell yeah! This song makes me proud to have UTA.
At one point there, I was getting distinct Dropkick Murphy vibes. Fields of Athenry, to be precise.
I think this song is brilliant. Love it.
Great live covers of this song are no further than your nearest "sea shanty band" of which the UK has no shortage. Kimber's Men does a great version.
For another excellent cover that you could do like this, there's "over the hills and far away" with Nightwish during the Tarja era.
This is literally the song I'm going to listen to when I make it to the Northwest Territories after the epidemic from New Brunswick canada
Here are the links to the original first and then the cover

When you watch the video again, watch Brittany's hands, pay attention to the rings. The video is pure silly, but you can sort out which Brittany is which.
If you're interested, definitely listen to the original by Stan Rogers! I'd love to hear your thoughts about it, especially after UTA's take on it
Another epic cover🤘🏼Allegeon-Roundabout. The classic yes song
Another very cool cover is Wilderun with their take on The Dying Californian.
where you paused saying how beautiful it is . is the sea to sky highway along the strait on the way up to whistler mountain :)
do the other cover .. hearless world..wanna hear some singing.. she really gives it in that one i think!!!!
The Northwest Passage was finally, successfully, navigated by an RCMP ship called the St. Roch, unfortunately I don’t recall the year.
Come on, a Sabaton journey should start with 40 to 1 in Poland, right? ;-)
Ferda boys
Spat out my drink when it opened on the Rickshaw's bar XD
You know it?
@@ChaseCarneson legendary metal venue in Vancouver BC. I’m seeing Jinjer there in a couple months as (so far) my first post-pandemic concert 🤟
Brittney has said that this is one of the most harder songs for her to sing as her vocals are so low. She can do anything in my mind
Another great one !
Do you know by any chance Gojira ?
Got one reaction to them up already. Take a look.

Love the video mate! I know you've got plenty of good recommendations to go for, but I'll give you mine anyway: "Ne Obliviscaris - and plague flowers the Caleidoscope live"
and "August burns red - guardians"

You want Chase to do Ne O live?!? Poor boys brain may splatter all over his shoes 😂 let's do ittttt
We have a spare bedroom in Calgary that you are welcome to, should you want to see the Canadian Rockies :)
I would recommend to start you journey with song (only 11 singers there, with a small surprise for you) :)
