Oof, close match. Wasn't sure your side would pull it off. Playing tank seems like it'd be difficult since there isn't really a metric to tell you how effective you were in a match. DPS have their damage/kill statistic, healers have their total healing tracked...but as a tank how do you tell you were able to effectively do your job? Just noting it'd be tough since I wouldn't know what to focus on to improve match-to-match.
Hey! So for this specific match, I was focusing the dagger pair off my healer the most. I tried to remove his 3xQ charges once he tried to jump on healer or CC him in any way possible to disrupt his E. After that if possible I would try to CC fire staff W or E or purge the cleric robe from healer/hellion jacket from bear with E. In general, Heavy Mace is the best against Nature healers because you can remove Q stacks and purge protection of nature. There is lots of different match ups and different situations, and its not really hard to play tank, everyone can spam spells. The problem is playing it above average. My best tip would be react to enemy spells and predict what they want to do next. Save W for quick CC of spells. Save E for that clutch purge of Cleric Robe. Combo Q with 1 for that insanse silence and slow on a choke point. Basically dont spam your spells for no reason. The only time I would suggest spam is if you have assassin hood and want to be disruptive as possible. @@Kyun9432 When you are playing tank role, you shouldn't worry about damage output. Your primary role is to setup kills and interrupt important spells. Heavy mace is really good against nature staffs, cleric robes and buffs in general. For instance you will always try to use E (if possible) on low hp healer that just used cleric robe to help your team secure the kill that would otherwise be impossible. Try to learn all the important spells that you need to CC or purge. Hope that clears things up, HF MAN! 😁
