_i'm actually thinking about what I would be saying if I were in his place lol. It's all too, too common; he obviously has NOT studied the language of suggestion; he doesn't know how the mind accepts ideas thru language; he likes facts; is quite rigid. He is totally monotone (a soft shouting at the listener -- at times pretty demeaning); his words lack dyanamics, artistry and subtlety. Way too cognitive -- considering he's not presenting any "new" astounding information. Basic and banal. Non-poetic. He can't even pause for one second. Lame, the topic itself not sufficient._
Somewhat motivational and empowering. Of course, I wish to leave room for the fact that obviously others will gain a great deal from his lecture. Peace to you.

Toronto Tom, I just posted 2 new vids on my channel about OBEs and related materials, check ‘em out! As for your question, I’m not too familiar with binaural beats, played with the app Ananda that generates them, for a time, and I found them interesting but didn’t really stick with it. But then again, I’m more of a “tried and true techniques” kind of guy versus “tools” and “accessories.” So I keep it to mental focus, and, changing sleep locations (couch, etc.) rather then tools. That’s just me though, and whatever “permission slips” work for you are the ones to use!

Its just i have heard about binural beats yet i think somehow the cellphones are not able to producing exact frequencies maybe due to a design "flaw" im not sure, need to use an actual frequency generator. Ive heard a few stories where frequencies helped accelerate ability and improve resolution. It is said one guy his air conditioner was buzzing at theta frequency and that boosted him into an OBE. So would that mean that his conscious hadn't allowed for itself to go beyond the astral plane to the outermost dimensions, as discussed here by Mr. Buhlman in his presentation??? If someone such as Mr. Monroe wasn't able to reach such dimensions, it almost doesn't exactly provide for much of a chance for the rest of us to do so? Ya know what I mean??? So I go to past lives , speak different languages, understand them, but I've never HEARD nor recognize them as a human language we speak now!

Yet in dreams, may be 15% I have had in my 58 yrs here ,have been completely foreign. To be honest ,these dream's intuitively appear to be in the future. Some are definitely past lives, and some are future lives.They definitely have a different feeling as well.

I wanted to ask him here about his cancer. He says that he had cancer of the throat but he never said how it was treated. Did he have Chemo or was his throat opened up and the cancer removed? What I really want to ask is if he used quantum healing because just by looking and listening to him, it's hard to tell that he was ever sick with anything.

+TheVioMelody I've been wondering the same thing on my entire journey throughout various types of wisdom teachings, ancient histories, david wilcocks disclosure discussions, but it just goes to show we are much more complex than what science give us credit for.
Tom is scientific and William is more spiritual. Many paths to the truth.
They don’t necessary go in different directions in my opinion. But they do have different views on many things, which is to be expected. As far as I can tell, Williams views better line up with other OBErs better in my opinion than many of Toms do. But they’re both great. Tom is married to his overall theory of everything, which sort of limits him in my opinion. He tries to everything figured out.
If anyone on here that has experience with obe do you or have you experienced this sensation, I'll be falling asleep and not trying to meditate or try to start a o.b.e just laying there and starting to fall asleep and all of a sudden I'll feel a jolt in my leg that makes me kick out of know where. Is this possibly starting to leave the physical world? It's just in 1 leg that jumps up to my back and it's a weird feeling. My girlfriend gets them alot and as of the past year it is starting to happen to me.

It is True. That is why it’s being hushed and pushed out of the mainstream. If everybody knew how powerful we truly are, the rulers of this physical realm would disappear tomorrow taking their financial system with them and this world would be heaven on Earth.
In his book, Adventures in the Afterlife, he states that we will maintain our personalities, our same state of consciousness after death. He also says we reincarnate to learn. There lies the problem. Every reincarnation will produce a new personality. So which one will be maintained? Is who I am now going to be destroyed and another personality will be maintained?
@enemyof322 Exactly. Why do we come here with an empty slate? What about everything we learned before? I know what the "experts" would tell you. They would say we have no memory of those lessons because they would taint the lessons learned at the next reincarnation. I have sent personal questions to Mr. Buhlman but he has never responded to any of them. I can't imagine that I would ever volunteer to come back to this "shit hole" as you called it. Sitting here now, I know without any doubt in the world that I would never choose to come back, and yet here I am. I don't think it's a choice like Mr. Buhlman says. I think we are forced back and our memories are wiped. What about those who had NDEs and were told that it's not your time yet, you have to go back. Does that sound like a choice to you? The more I study this subject, the more it looks like the Matrix movie. We are trapped like you said, and we have to figure out a way to escape. Out of body traveling would be one way to get the answers but that is a very difficult thing to do, even though Mr. Buhlman says it's our natural state. I'm going on two months with zero results so far. I won't give up though. If I do ever achieve it, I will be asking every being I see questions.

I agree there will be no matter, and since energy and matter are two sides of the same coin, why do most people you could collectively call "new age" or "awakened" thinkers believe in an energy body, or a light body after we die? When my soulmate died at my age of 19, I saw him come to me in the "phase" (20 seconds before we wake up-M. Raduga) in millions of tiny points of light, overflowing with joy, and I recognized him with no facial features? I communicated to him verbally "I miss you sooo much." He put his "arms" around me, and non-verbally said "I know." It was a 10 second encounter before I even knew he died. How can energy that much better spiritually than matter, even though mathematically it may be in this 3D universe w/ linear time? E=mc^2 Maybe dense does truly mean unintelligent.

There is something he says that contradicts itself. First he says that out of body you have no physical form. Then later he says that when he saw his mother and uncle that they looked like their younger selves not the older people that they were when they died. How can that be if you have no physical form?

What someone needs to ask during the Q&A is how the immortal spiritual essence that supposedly isn't from here but just uses a biological entity, relates to the evolution of life on a planet like Earth. I can think of a number of explanations to this juxtaposition, but I would like someone like Buhlman to explain his relationship to Darwin. I've seen a number of these talks and it never seems to get addressed properly.
How can we live as gods if we never knew what it was like to be human.
I am a reluctant "Christian", but definitely a follower of Jesus due to my OBE-interdimensional dream-visions that I had starting at six months of age.
My very first journey was to the place known by the Greeks as Tartarus and there were the entities imprisoned, yet active within the stone awaiting their time of release. They feel toward us a very dense, dark, malevolent penetrating envy to the severity of desiring, not our physical death, but our complete non-existence. The enemy, as stated in the Christian biblical-canonical and non-canonical works, exists. These entities I experienced were the group that were condemned for interbreeding with humans. It is suggested that Uriel is their jailer and warden.
But the light was there and the light illuminated me and protected me.
Tartarus is not the same place as Sheol or Hades which is where Jesus allegedly went after he died after his crucifixion as that is another realm known as the place of the dead.

So if Satan and his angels are not currently bound in Tartarus-who is? The answer goes back again to the angels who interbred with humans..."

I’m wondering if the medical community would even honor what we, the individuals, want in today’s world! Especially if we end up in an unconscious state, since some of us have no family or close friends in our area or state, so who will even understand our desires! ??

You are already creating your own limitation.
There is no reason that you cannot say what you suggest. There may be a reason that what you suggest is not possible, but to know that reason would require the knowledge of that further construct, which we do not have, since otherwise you would already know the answer to your question.

I believe you're absolutely right. We (I mean most people) fear being wrong all the time. Nobody likes being called a looser. And for that very reason we tend to keep things unchanged. We fear choosing another path, making a new decision, trying new things. We fear criticism for not following the old rules. We fear what others will say or think. It takes courage and I mean a lot of courage to make the changes we need to make and follow something new. I hope I answered to your question.
The ultimate truth is life it self as you can sense at the present moment. The truth does not require believe, lie does. Only imaginary truth require to be believed.

You are not just your body. When you leave your body you will see that you consist of consciousness that is a counter rotating vortex field modeled as a mathematical process fractal. I watched this video last night. The presenter, William Buhlman, says he is a 25 year OBE teacher at MI. If that’s the case, then 25 years of experience in this field doesn’t guarantee you’re correctly interpreting what you encounter. I believe that his interpretation is flatly wrong, internally inconsistent, and on close examination makes no sense at all.
The gist of his interpretation is that he has concluded that we are non-physical beings that are placed in human bodies, and that the body is just a mechanism that allows us to get around, like a submarine or a dive suit. He doesn’t think the physical body contributes to the total being’s consciousness. He has concluded, since we seem to carry our full consciousness into an OBE, therefore the full consciousness must be independent of the physical body. That just doesn’t follow, in my opinion.
In the first place, it doesn’t agree with Bob Monroe’s observation that there was a cord connecting his OBE energy body to his physical body. Monroe described finding the cord on an OBE and discovering that it was connected to his neck. Monroe knew that we never really leave the body on an OBE, we are still connected. Many people reporting near death experience also report that they were still connected to their physical body with cord of some kind. Many other people reporting past life memories claim that the cord was snipped when they passed through the light after death of their physical body. So right at the threshold, we can see that he bases his observations on erroneous or incomplete facts. There seems to be a distinct difference between NDE or OBE and death. Buhlman ignores that.
The implication of what he is saying is that the personality we have here on earth is exactly the same personality we have as a non-physical entity existing in a non-physical world. This doesn’t make sense for many reasons. First, it ignores the effect that the physical body has on the development of the personality from childhood. It implies that a person with a serious brain deformity would have the same personality as if there were no brain deformity. It implies that people who are mentally ill are mentally ill spirits. Mental illness doesn’t make sense for a spirit because a spirit doesn’t have a biological brain to become ill.
It also ignores the fact that lots of people grow up to be evil, selfish, calculating and malicious persons. If that is really the personality of their non-physical self, then in every incarnation they will be the same evil and selfish people. That conflicts with the very essence of the reason we are here in the first place, which is to learn to be better people and to learn how to function in a matter-based environment. It also conflicts directly with the reports of thousands of people who say they planned their life on earth in conjunction with other spirits for the purpose of learning how to be a good person, not an evil one. They also say that their afterlife was characterized by love and inclusiveness rather than evil and selfishness. If what Bulhman claims is true, then evil, selfish, narcissistic personalities are somehow able to fit in and be good loving spirits (till they get back to earth). I’ve known some of them, and I know they can’t pretend to be good loving people for more than a day or two. This is nonsense.
Its clear to me that Mr. Bulhman has never sat down and thought through the implications of what he is putting out as a supposed “expert.” It doesn’t give me confidence in the other “teachers” at MI because none of them have ever pointed out any of these inconsistencies to their students.
It is also possible that Mr. Bulhman doesn’t realize the message he is putting out. I encourage him to sit back and watch his own video critically.
Exactly my thoughts. Especially on other saying they came here with a pre-life plan..it's like how and why re so many reincarnation of that's the case..something is going terrible wrong "upstairs " with the guides or wither many are just now coming from the lower planes near Earth to finally purge or something..to much chaos in the collective right now..I don't think many are actually here to learn nor have a life plan.. but just coming back for familiarity....

Having had OBEs myself I can attest to something of what he's talking about. What rubs me the wrong way about this guy however is this constant exhortation that we HAVE to do this. We HAVE to 'evolve'. I don't think it's wrong but he presents it in such an fundamentalist manner. So he's says that physical reality is a training ground. OK, I can buy that. Then he says that we HAVE TO go beyond it NOW! Why? Shouldn't that happen more naturally anyway? Why this constant reference to us as 'children' and 'childish'? Does he realize how condescending that is.
How about a different take. If we are all pure consciousness, which by (in)definition is eternal, then which ones of us are the children, if nobody is really being born or dying? Maybe we create worlds just simply because we want to enjoy them, in all their infinite layers of meaning and wonder. I can't think of another reason, training grounds notwithstanding.
That means EVERYTHING is there to enjoy, including the physical and all those "flawed belief systems" which "holds us back". Yeah, sure they do, that's part of the fun. And also part of the fun is guys like this trying vehemently to shake us awake as if it's the end of the world (but wait, that can't really happen anyway). But does this guy realize that he's telling people to break free and open their minds but then telling us WE HAVE TO EVOLVE!!! (...or else?)

So how about this Buhman: Just go about your business turning people onto this, because it IS real and every kind of exploration is our natural birthright. Otherwise let people drink their fill, of whatever "flawed" ways of being they want.
Maybe the physical is exactly what it looks like.... another marvelous expression of creation. the speaker is projecting his own concentric reasoning onto the Universe, making value judgements on nature and consciousness itself; as if one level is better, higher, than others. Less, more, higher, lower....all human projections. Too much hostility.
+Mtn Goat I believe this to be true. In his first book he talks about starting out as an "arrogant" atheist but to his credit explored the possibility of OBEs and was willing to alter his thinking. But did he still carry over his old ego habits even in the "spiritual" realm?
Nevertheless his book has great practical value. But I believe there is a profound reason why all of the major esoteric traditions, from the desert fathers in 4th century Egypt to the Taoists stress humility and went out of their way to teach it. "Merge with the dust" says the Tao Te Ching. But then again crusaders like Buhlman are also part of the tapestry, so I can't complain.
You make a good point about classic thought such as Taoist, Desert Fathers, etc.... We have a couple of thousand years of literature from thinkers who were faced with the same questions as we. It is unfortunate that all that is thrown out as somehow archaic and that New Age somehow has it right.
W Buhlman is entitle to his experience I'd say, as we all are, but also I the sort that doesn't need to be someone's follower.
I do think you are right, any preconditioned thinking such as an atheist's view would be hard to completely dis-create unless one encounters a personal revelation that transforms them.
Yes but is it also possible to to have a faux revelation and just switch to the other side of the fence? That is what might have happened with this guy. I find it telling that when he was an atheist (this is in his book) he admitted to thinking that religious people were naive and gullible. Yet here when he talks of "flawed belief systems" he's basically attacking the same religions. The constant through all of this is a sense of superiority, no matter what position he takes. This is basically gnosticism or what I have also heard called "spiritual materialism", that is, taking the spiritual as an object instead of realizing the love at the heart of everything.
The quote in the Bible "What does it profit a man to gain the world if he loses his soul", points to this. Gnosticism itself was declared heretical not because of some evil power play, as the Gnostics would have it, but because any
thought of "secret knowledge" forbidden to the unworthy contradicts directly what Jesus taught, especially the two great commandments ( also "Be as a child..."etc.). All the world's great spiritual traditions warn against the aggrandizement of the ego at the expense of Truth. Gnostics and Manichaeans are full of their own self-importance. New Age embodies this right to the hilt.
There is a line from William Wordsworth (in "it is a beauteous evening..."):

+nonthere Gnosticism: That is an excellent excellent point! Yes, I completely agree and I see that thinking in many quarters of the New Age movement. However, so many people are not trained in any philosophical/scientific/religious studies thinking that there is a lack of critical thinking in reflecting on esoteric knowledge which is subjective by nature and so anything goes. {Yes there are some with scientific training out there making assessments, but to support their franchise it appears) In fact it would be heresy to bring up critical thinking at all. It seems the criteria is if I feel enveloped in love and peace I have somehow found Truth. What I have found in my "travels" is that a human really does go more by gut instinct then logic. I think that is true about us all. If one "feels" the experience strongly and connects with that, that appears to be all a person needs to convince oneself of the source of some experience (Vicodin feels good too). However, that may fail with faint contacts and because one has no gut feeling does that mean the experience/communications was not authentic? What if other "beings" don't have the same emotional composition as humans? Would we misjudge their intentions simply because we can't process perceptive information of them according to some emotionally defined guideline simply because we can't access a different kind of being by gut instinct? Do we even have gut instincts for beings that are possibly entirely different for us?
In this speaker's case, given the attitude that you are similarly detecting in him, I think the expressed outlook is less a matter of solid critical thinking of one's experiences and more a matter of a narrow and opinionated mind picking a new subject to be narrow about; and again projected a human's concentric interpretations of the world. I don't detect any evolved consciousness in the former. Discernment is a tough and perplexing task, but in my travels I'd say the speaker has missed the boat in his understanding of the deep underpinnings of nature.
Can there be a false revelation? Ya know that opens the can of worms regarding Truth and objective reality, but yes I think people can be deceived and in may cases are self deceived. Is one inclined to see aspects that they don't want to see? Is one inclined to gravitate to answers of mysteries that simply suit them?
What is presented here is just another belief system.
