Richard is a legend. The stories being told, have better storylines then a tv show.

Great stories Luke, the Tanami was a major influence of my life’s direction too. Went out to the Tanami Mine in 1996 for three months work, left in late 2001. Lived in the camp you helped build. Only yesterday had a call from my old boss, Bill Makar, who was the Chief Geo. Great people out there, and beautiful country.

Oh gosh, I feel like it’s going to be along ngt! Binge watching now. Love the old fella Richard stories esp about our cowboys out west. Been living remote Mt Isa and met a few old fellas over the yrs. Richard is the real old timer out west! Our neighbours used the choppers & motorbikes now but also still horses. Loved mustering time driving out the driveway & seeing them on the side of the road rounding & moving the cattle up. ESP the sexy cowboys 😂 which atlas map book u using Luke pls? I love my hand rd maps as well.

Interesting chat,Luke! I can understand Aus lingo pretty well,,because of different friendships ive made over the years. It was interesting to hear the different styles and methods. Those huge stations in the outback are much larger than American and canadien places,,although there are still a few larger places. In the late 50s early 60s my Dads younger brother worked a place in southern Oregon called the ZX ranch,,was about 600,000 acres and its still intact. I love cattleman/cowboy history,,no matter where its from. Montana is a good place for that. Ive been curious about starlink,,i think the basic stationary plan is 150 dollars. I do detest that repulsive human,,Elon Musk,,and i hate to enrich him by even a cent. Thank Luke! Ttyl,,,Marlon

when you return after the trip could you do a video on the drifta material packing bags you use. I could see myself replacing some of my plastic crates with some of the bigger sizes

The bags are great for space saving and keeping your weight down but how much time and effort do they add when packing and unpacking? Seems like it'd be better to use shelves/drawers more than using a pile of bags when changing campsites daily.
