It would depend on the school. Tracing letters appears to be most beneficial for preschoolers aged 3-5, with some flexibility depending on individual child development and learning styles po. Hope this helps po! :)
@@travelingdesigner Are new people to this market making money from creating school books for kids. I’m an out of work teacher in need of helping kids. IMO they’re not safe being in school. I want to teach from home or online. Is this still a good idea creating books like this a good idea?
Hello, yes. It can be done in any size. I normally use bigger sizes for kids' activity books or notebooks. Bigger books encourage larger movements and better coordination between the eyes and hands. This is especially beneficial for younger children developing fine motor skills. Smaller notebooks can feel cramped and restrictive, leading to frustration and a desire to give up. Larger formats provide a more comfortable and less intimidating space for creative exploration.Bigger books can accommodate larger images, diagrams, and charts, making it easier for kids to visualize and understand concepts.Completing a large page or project can boost a child's confidence and sense of achievement. :)
The ideal cover size for your worksheet depends on the format of the worksheet itself. However, there are factors to consider. 1. Binding: If the worksheet will be bound (stapled, spiral-bound etc.), consider a slight bleed (extra 0.25" on each edge) on the cover for a finished look after trimming. 2. Design preference: You might choose a slightly larger cover size for a design element to bleed over the edge or for easier handling. Overall, using the same size as your worksheet (Letter, A4, etc) is a safe bet. Just make adjustments for bleeding if needed!

Worksheets usually have multiple rows of tracing practice, and the height of each row is generally set to allow children to trace letters comfortably and correctly. The height of each row should be sufficient to ensure that children can see and follow the dotted lines clearly, and that they have enough space to write independently without the letters overlapping. If you are looking to customize your own letter tracing worksheets, it is advisable to consider the age and skill level of the child, ensuring that the row height is appropriate for their developmental stage.

Great tutorial. I tried it myself, but after exporting in pdf the letters go above the line. Although in Canva everything looks perfect. Any idea why?
hmmm sometimes Canva output can go wonky. Try to flatten it when you save it as pdf. :)
