Thanks 😊 for posting. Some of my favorite woodworking videos are the ones where jigs are made. Almost reflexively, I start thinking 🤔 of projects I can use the jigs on.
Commercial Forest yeah...same! I should make time to make more jigs for sure. I’m looking forward to making the mark 2 version of this one. Make it more fancy with maybe more features too. Ps thanks for watching! 😊🙌🏻
after i bought my first draw-saw,ive never looked back! they are so good to use! and accurate, and takes very little material. i need this thing youre making and it looks good. i will probably reinforce mine with 90 degrees aluminium bars, tho. thanks for sharing, miss.
They are beautiful saws to use. I always reach for a pull saw first before using a western saw. Glad the video was of help to you and I love that you’ll be adding some aluminium for reinforcement. 👍🏻 thank you for watching and taking the time to drop a comment. Good luck with your build ✌🏻😊
Thank you Felipe! You got that right, safety first, always! :D Thanks for watching!

Hello my friend. I love such simple projects. Because this kind of apparatus works very well. Congratulations. Thank you for sharing. Great greetings....
Wonderful and quick (ish) product! Very forward thinking to accommodate both ‘Western’ (push cut) and Japanese (pull cut) saws. Outstanding video, but then excellence is your standard. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I need to make one of these for sure! I have a plastic one that I don't particularly like and really limits the size of wood I can cut with the hand saw. Thanks for sharing!👍
Same! I had a plastic one a long time ago and I just did not like it. Glad I decided to make this one, although simple it's much better than my plastic one. I will be looking to improve the jig and make a mark 2... a fancy one sort of speak with more features :D. ps. Thanks for watching! :D
@@KirstiePervinDavies looking forward to a fancy one! Make sure to make it out of some kind of wood that is ridiculously overpriced (like purpleheart) the internet loves jigs made from exotic wood!
The Grant Alexander me too! I’m excited to get it done. Don’t you worry, that’s in the plans. A nice splash of exotic wood should we say 😁🙌🏻 ... because why the hell not!😄
Thank you! yes its been insane amount of rain lately, interrupting my video audio haha although I think its been worse the other side of the bridge with major flooding... Thanks for checking out my video :D
@@KirstiePervinDavies ye it's flooding everywhere her in Yorkshire I've been scared for my workshops life, 😭 but I least I know where the leakages are now lol 😂.
Aw too kind! thank you!... go for it, I've already been using mine a lot and its so simple to make. I will be making a mark 2 version too with more features. A more fancy version, if you will ;) Thanks for watching!
Thank you! Go for it, it’s handy little guide. I’m looking to make mark 2 fancy version in next couple of weeks. Very excited about that 😂🙈 thanks for watching!
you did a great job specially with those 45! the mitre came out perfect! very nice video, it's a handy mitre box, by far better than the ones available in the market
Thank you! Surprising what a simple guide like this can do for cutting with hand tools. I had one of the market plastic ones a long time ago. I used it maybe twice and gave up with it 😂 ...thanks for watching!🙌🏻
Ah Kirstie -san... a true Japanese saw is meant to be perfected without a guide!! HAHAHA. Just kidding. I was feeling bad because I went out and bought a cheap guide box and you made a very nice one by hand! Great job, young lady!!!
😂😂 true true, I think it’s because I’m Welsh. I just don’t have that Japanese cutting capability 🤣 ohh doh, sorry about that 😜... thank you and thanks for watching!
I guess it’s hard to say as it depends how well it’s made and what wood is used. But I find this jig works much better that for sure. There is less movement within the saw blade gap. Which in turn gave me better results, I’ve not need to replace it to date 06/2020. I plan to make an upgraded version in the near future with more features and replaceable parts for long time use. Definitely keep an eye out for that video too. 🙌🏻
Whoa!!! Get rid of the loud music while you are talking. You information is VERY GOOD. Seriously. I have done woodworking for probably twice the time you have been alive and I STILL LEARN A LOT FROM YOU. So my only suggestion is to turn the music off after you get started talking so NOTHING competes with what you are saying. There was even an electric “buzz” going on with the added music while you were speaking. And, I asked myself, “Doesn’t this girl know that she is more than interesting enough?” Be encouraged. Turn the music off.
08:30 i thought you were going to use mitre saw for jig cuts, you get extra Bragging Rights for cutting perfect mitre guides by hand that didn't drift other side. I miss your regular videos on RUclips, hope you're having good time with build projects & having successful business.
Thanks for the feedback. In this instance the jig was made to allow me to safely and quickly cut very small pieces when I wouldn’t feel comfortable cutting them on a powered saw. But the jig can easily be made with just hand tools if you don’t have access to power tools or wish to do so with hand tools only 👍🏻 rip cut saw for the plywood panel, cross cut saw for the stop block and the fence. Hand plane to square up any pieces that aren’t flat and 90 degrees.👍🏻 thanks for watching and checking out the video! ✌🏻
This is quite a clever one using the pullsaw. I will try my pullsaw next time.

This young lady has some awesome talent! It doesn't hurt that she's easy to look at too. hehe. Great build!
Everyone needs one for small parts, nice video.
Definitely...so handy to have! I've used it a lot already. Thanks for watching! :)

Plzz tell me the name of saw u used for cutting the woods
Does this wooden jig last longer than the plastic ones from DIY stores?

Good i love u
it's a bit useless to make this jig for hand saws WHEN YOU HAVE TO USE A POWER SAW TO MAKE IT
Thanks for the feedback. There is absolutely no point to these “how to” videos the moment you pull out the large, expensive, electric table saws and routers etc…
Умничка! Спасибо! Я из России...и мне очень понравились!
