Just to point out, I did completely miss the master cabin en suite on this one somehow! Needless to say, there is one.
I was about to question that. Thanks for the clarification.
Many times when you are walking through the yachts I notice small hidden from the eye cabinets in the floor or in the steps of a ladder or even on the side of an exterior or interior...maybe it is for storage of everyday things used in a ship exc...try to squize some of it in the video if it is possible for you....it will be very interesting to watch some" secret Easter eggs"
You might have a bit of yacht fever with all of those tours you've done lately ;)
@@patrickbrookings Ha, something like that! We'd actually been out doing a photoshoot and video session, and I decided to run round it with a GoPro for AQUAHOLIC just before we left. I clearly ran around a little too quickly!
@@AQUAHOLIC Regardless of the missed part, it was a great tour as usual, and a very nice looking boat :)
I don’t know about that “crew cabin” Nick. Looks more like a brig!!
It's there to be fitted out if people want it, I think it works well as storage.
@Bob Dobalina Then don't. :)
Looks a good place to get some peace and quiet. A small beer fridge and a hammock, I'd be happy in there.
I think your crew would be looking for a new slot on a different boat post haste.
@@leehilliard6551 remember, crew cabins in these boats arent meant to lived in full time. Only to be brought on for when there is a long journey and owners need a little bit of extra help with navigating, deck work, and anything else.
Beautiful yacht, only that "crew cabin" looks a bit scary to me. :)
In The Navy call it ,The Brig!
Fantastic design. Was curious about main cabin en suite? I presume that was the door on the left as you walk in. Love the videos!
Yes indeed - inexplicably I managed to miss it!
I really like this one. Modest, practical, more accessible for ordinary people.
Nick Miller was thinking the same, probably my favorite one yacht he’s reviewed. I think the Natural light does it a lot of favors too.
Hmmm, different-ish. More boats should cater for solar. :-))
I can tell that you're a true enthusiast, it really shows in your knowledge and presentation. Keep up the great content, and I'll keep hitting that like button... Thank you for all the hard work, you make it look effortless, cheers.
You're very kind, thank you :)
What a nice little gem, at a great price too. How efficient are those solar panels? Cheers Nick.
Don's Decorative Pillow Review: They saved the best for the saloon area! Nice bright red patterns, fun! The Master cabin pillows seem a little uninspired. B+
Honestly, for this size of boat, this is a top 3 layout that I've seen and for the money, this seems like a really good boat, great review!!
Good to see a yacht company that is looking to the future of replacing fossil fuel engines with electric. In the same way cars are moving in that direction, it was only a matter of time before it moved into the yacht World. When graphene batteries become widely available and higher hp electric engines become available and can give engines range in the 1,000’s nm then I’m sure you will see all manufacturers moving in this direction. At present, in electric mode, these yachts do around 25 nm at 7 knots, but with range extender combining 2 x 25kw diesel generators it can get up to 1,000 nm at 5 knots. Hopefully with solar, they can eventually do this with electric generators. This could make running a luxury yacht more affordable. This yacht is nice, but as others say, I would not use that crew cabin ! 😊
Liked the boat. Just one day head for three cabins feels inadequate ..Not sure why .. Sufficient space is there to have one more.. Also you didn't mentioned the speed and range. Coverage of gully area was done very inadequately. Actually this boat is quite nice and comparable with princes or sunseeker 45 ft boats.
A bad day or did you really not like the boat Nick? I thought it was one of the nicest of the 50 ft boats you've reviewed and it seems a good price (?). You seemed singularly unimpressed.
Nice boat for the money! If only it came with a 2800 months payment @ 250 pounds a month.
The only video where I find Nick skipping some things. Didn't get to see the full galley and what about the wardrobe and ensure in the master?
for me, as an amateur boaty but regular watcher of Nick's wonderfully presented videos, it seems you get a lot of bang for boat with this one - i guess, it just doesn't have those finer luxury details, yet still appears to be very comfortable with some added benefits for it's size - i love looking at these "non-generic luxury boats", (if that's even a thing ... ?? ) :)
I like this one, much more a real boat rather then a floating spa or mansion. Nice, very nice indeed.
Those pesky plastic gin palaces!
I know you read recent comments so,
6:30 that's Barry the briefcase
If they offer a good warranty this seems like excellent value for money.
I'd rather socialise with my crew and have them in a guest cabin
I like the layout and hybrid / solar elements in the Greenline boats, they seem quite modern compared to some of the others out there. Thanks for the tour.
Towards the end of every video, no matter how small the boat is. I’m always like “come on, have a crew cabin! Show me that tiny cool crew cabin!” Lol
A lot of boat for the price!
Do you have plans on a review on the 65 ocean class?
Are these prices real your boats are reasonably priced
It's a baby superyacht! :-0 But with motorboat speed! Two lazarettes! I'd love to tour Europe in this, North to South!
Is teak an option topside?
I'd imagine it could be done.
So there’s only one bathroom for all three bedroom?
Beautiful boat may I have one please!
Another great job mate. Where is this marina located? Which country? UK?
Swanwick, UK
I like it
I think that the star of your videos, really is you Nick
Huge fan of the efficiency and solar power in this yacht, but the styling on the outside is also amazing, and so is the wood work. Very simple and classy.
Oh man, what a lovely vessel. Giving me a "boaty" feeling, not that luxury hotel feeling i get with many other yachts.
That's a lot of boat for that price compared with some you have shown of similar size.. Excellent tour again Nick..
The Greenlines are really starting to grow on me. Clever use of space, nice semi-trawler-ish design, but still quite fast if you want to cross long distances quickly. Absolutely great job on getting three decent cabins on a sub 50 without one of them seeming like an after-thought.
I also really like the thought of running all the electrics without a generator. Even with the best of efforts, the gen-set will always make an annoying background noise that (at least for me) detracts from the experience of enjoying a nice quiet evening at the anchor.
You could put a speaker in that crew cabin and when everyone is seated for dinner play a tape with cries for help.
Love watching Auqaholic. How is the price on these yachts determined? This Greenline 48 Fly is asking over $1,300,000 USD. While you’re listing price is 700,000 British Pounds at current exchange rate that would be $884,000USD. Are the US Distributers marking them up?
„Crew Cabin“ is too scary.
I like the idea of solar panels with electric drives. And a big ass Genny for when you run out of juice halfway to Guernsey...
Beautiful
Hi, I have a question. Let say (and this is good for all the boat you visit) an engine is DEAD, I mean dead for so many reasons, how do you remove and replace the engine?
Pieces of the engine are disconnected and then removed (basically dismantle it below). Same thing in reverse when replacing with another
Now this is the type of boat that I would buy. For 700k that is a steal. Would try & bump it down 5 or maybe buy one second hand but I would love to take this to Ibiza & around Italy for 6 weeks of the year
I am 3rd. Thanks Nick!
This is a lots of boat for less than 15 meters!!!
The solar panels and the price makes it even more attractive.
I’d probably buy this boat second hand for even more value for money 😉
I’m very impressed
If only I had the cash to splash 😭😭😭
Finally a boat we can drive for our self : D Hehe i liked that very much, exelent size and a huge flybridge for partys ; ) Soon som sailing yachtes? Like 57+++ ; )
I like the door mat.
That's a livable boat
I'd not accept a crew job on this boat, that's how they used to keep slaves!! 😭😭😭😭
Crazy mission for a crazy person, but could you sail from California directly to Japan, in a greenline 45 or 48 coupe? I just want to pack 2 months of supplies in one of the bedrooms and sail directly to Tokyo. Can this yacht make the trip relying mostly from solar panels?
Fascinating is about right: a lot of utility in a smaller yacht.
So how come they manage to get such good three cabins below deck but Princess and Sunseeker etc. seem to really struggle on a boat of that size? Maybe they need to study the competition more? Including that underfloor storage space on this boat. And a crew cabin!
Did you miss the master cabin head?
Yes I did - completely! Just watched it through and realised, what an idiot! Needless to say, there is an en-suite to the master cabin.
@@AQUAHOLIC Ok cool, thanks. Seems like a great yacht for the price! Cheers!
Love the wood choice on this one!!! Any idea what kind it is?
Threw me off when I heard “plenty of storage,” when your signature phrase is obviously “loads of storage”.
I don't think I would like to tell the crew member who has to get us all out there and back home safely that he has to sleep under my seat.
You give me something to dream. Thank you for the content and videos. Great channel!!!!
Not bad at all for 48 feet! Very spacious and 3 cabins! Nice boat Nick and good to see you on jon olsson! Hopefully you get that tour on the 84 sunseeker!!
Find n film is your moto 😉! 🛳⚓
I've heard nothing from Team Olsson yet, but fingers crossed! :)
Nice boat, nice layout but I did feel the quality of the interior was just a bit lacking and just not on par with builders like princess
Thanks for sharing your info on the boat, really nice thanks again 👍🇺🇸
Nice boat. This video feels rushed though...
Seems like more space than the azimut atlantis 51 of wich I am a fan, great boat an practical.
Great review, what sort of range can you get on this one?
Personally, I just don't much care for the greenlines
Very nice Greenline, not my cup of tea type of boat, but a beauty nonetheless!
Very roomy craft for just 48'. Quite nice indeed.
Nice video, good to see other options than the usual brands. Really helps comparisons. Which leads me to ask, and I change answer almost daily on this, but a Princess F62 or a Sunseeker Manhattan 66? And why, if the specification wish list was no issue on either boat? Today I'm leaning towards Princess, again. Interiors and finishes swing it for me.
Very much personal choice, both great boats.
How about tender storage on something like this? Nice walkthrough!
High/low hydraulic bathing platform
@@AQUAHOLIC I hoped it would be this. Extraordinary.
what kind of wood is that in the interior? love the way that looks, and how it reflects the light.
Just wondering about slide outs is it impractical how to put slide outs on boats like RVS can anybody answer that
Yes because it would make the interior of the boat uselessly small when not slid out, and slide outs couldn’t take the abuse of being extended while the boat is moving, so they are pointless on boats.
Your videos are very nice I enjoy them really. Could you do a tour in a Sunseeker 155 ??? It’s one of my absolutely favourite yachts.🔥
If I ever get the opportunity
I really like this one, the boat and your presenting. I think I will buy this one. 😁
Nice boat, Decent size and those solar panels were a very clever feature!!!
Hey Nick, new subscriber, loving the videos and would love more sailing yachts! Question though, you often quote top speed but you do not always mention the range. It would be even better if you could quote estimated range at best economical speed.
Great to have you aboard! I usually give the range at the boat's normal operating speed, so planing speed for planing boats for example.
Do the cabinets and doors have an actual wood veneer or is it a sticker wrap?
Now this is a lottery win boat!
By golly i thought that also.
I really like this one, could you cross the Atlantic with it?
The lower decks seem incredibly small.
👍👍👍👍👍
Do owners actually make their crew use a cabin like that if they still have guest rooms unoccupied? Seems a bit harsh.
You wouldn't typically have crew on this size of boat. It's more for a temporary skipper to spend a night on a delivery trip, that kind of thing. Or not fitted out and used for storage as in this case.
Hi nick. Thanks for answering my query about the onboard life rafts in a different video. Princess rep told me it’s usually kept on a fly bridge. Prob we have is about the size of yacht needed to sail from st. Maxime to Cannes, Anitibes, Nice, and then return for a few days. Two of the 8 people have a holiday home at St Maxime so we would like to fly into Nice Airport and drive over to meet them. I spoke to a local rep at St Tropez who said 60’ is the minimum. I would appreciate your input and apologies for hijacking this review of this lovely boat.
For coastal cruising in suitable weather, anything from a decent 27ft upwards would do, but probably wouldn't accommodate 8 people. Bigger is going to increase that weather window (bigger boats handle bigger seas) and of course more space and comfort on board. So probably best to visit a boat show or two, work out what 8 people are going to be comfortable aboard for what you want to achieve, then see if you can day charter a similar boat in that area, give it a go and see how you feel.
AQUAHOLIC thanks once again for your input. Most of us love the princess line and in particular the excellent S78 review you just did. I will arrange to visit a boat show with as many as poss. Most helpful Nick. Shame you are not a rep we would be happy to deal with you.
What a Yacht, amazing
Very nice indeed . . kind reminds me of a Fleming Yacht size wise , Fleming yacht channel has thee best travel video's on this site by far the footage is tremendous . It's like watching a Wildlife documentry narrated by Sir David Attenborough . That the very same 2019 new build i see listed on Yachtworld site for £888.630 tax paid ... lying at Swanick ?
Great yacht, very unique. The wood finish is a bit odd but everything else is amazing.Much nicer than the Bayliner of the same size.
I don't really understand how it could use 240v power without the generator. That would be a really really big bank of batteries not impossible just really heavy and expensive.
I like your concise tours of this type of boats.
Thanks for the video, check out Boattest.com for the review of the Hybrid model with twin 220HP Volvo engines and electric drive / generators. A really nice setup. The setup with a hardtop and 4 additional solar panels really boosts the electric efficiency of this vessel. ( I really like it) !
Really enjoyed your video as always well done keep them coming
Thank you :)
I'll buy 2 next week where's the nearest boat dealer that stocks this boat needs a lick of paint inside though to much of the same would B&Q paints be ok to use on the inside and the wooden steps don't look too sturdy so I would prefer slabs running up to the helm do they do that option aswell
Nice tour. I watched the MBY test as well. The thing missing from both is information on the hybrid drive (power/range/usefulness) and probably more important the ability to live generator free. Nice to know how long cruising is required to allow normal use of the boat overnight. This is the real discriminator for their range of boats. Solar panels a could be useful for trickle charging in the marina.
First! :)
2nd ... had to put the kettle on first, sniff. Thanks Nick, that's a lovely boat.
@@notrut You were close! At least you got your priorities straight 🙂
Pity about the master ensuite
Nice tour. Thankyou.
Sure wish I had extra but I don’t like the galley aft but I am a live aboard so I like the privacy of it being down below
That crew cabin isn't large enough for a crew member. It is only suitable for smuggling one person.
I quite like this one.
Now you mentioned it😉😀
Great review! Thanks mate!
At what length do they start doing full beam master cabins? Really like this boat, however seems to be a bit of wasted space with two storage areas - one of them being full beam in the middle of the boat.
nice small yacht Nick
Great little entry boat
