You're talking to me! I love how I keep rediscovering so many Linkin Park songs I've listened to for over 15 years that hit me so much harder now. I am in the process of getting out of a toxic marriage and this song is so much of what my life has been the last 6 years. God, Mike's raps here really do speak truth.

The early 2000's were just the best time period in history honestly. The most fun and exciting things were happening in that time along with the best music, and the most peace the world had ever seen. As for music, Linkin Park had made Meteora, Breaking Benjamin had just arrived on the scene with Saturate (A fucking BANGER of an album), and Chevelle had just released Wonder What's Next, and was working on This Type of Thinking. Like, holy fk bro.

Hybrid Theory and Meteora are legendary status. LP is a once in a generational band for us millennials. Trailblazing their own sound fusing elements from multiple genres and creating a sound that so many bands today try to mimic. They were doing it from the beginning.
