I do like Kali but with https and all the firewalls in windows all the passwords cracking is useless you can never hack anything online unless it’s really old website.
I'll keep using the "normal" kali at the moment and wait this project get more maturity, but it seems really interesting new stuff to kali and i'm doing much more blue team stuff these times, so maybe it's a good alternative in a close future! Thanks for the info heath!
Thx for the videos , I've done your osint course and it was amazing can't wait to do another courses
Another good way to isolate dependencies is python venv. Very easy to use and avoid conflicts with main system libraries.
Definitely what I need. Just downloaded, will install in my lab server tomorrow. Thank you
How'd it go?
I hope you might have installed it by now. Can you give your feedback of it in terms of stability and issues related to it please?. I want to know how stable it is as of now because I am planning to do a baremetal installation of it on my PC (in real hardware not in VM)
Thanks for the review! Would you do a video on building the .iso out and getting it up and running? Thanks
We love you thanks for the share
Definitely want to look into this but I’m going to keep one virtual machine setup with my current kali for a backup
Thanks for this.
new subscriber here, thanks , i needed you , keep rolling bro
Thanks! Heard it here first, Purple Team Edition is leveraging the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)! Cool...
Loved that OFFSEC is also starting to go into more defense. definitely a game changer and hopefully keeps growing. Thanks for the video
@@therealb888 There are several free options in the defense side, including snort, surricata, and zeek. Several of the free and open source options are really good and effective if set up properly. Of course the paid and closed source options are going to be better, since they have a dedicated team of developers working on it compared to the lacking open source contributors.
Amazing Edition 💝
I just started working on my LFS and they released this 😂 awesome ... 😂😂👌
Still using Kali 2019, default root and no issues with impacket 😂
between keeping up with various hardware firms (Rubber Duck, Wifi Nugget, Pineapple, Flipper, Signal Owl, etc etc etc) and looking at distro updates between Kali and ParrotSec I missed Purple's drop completely... Guess I'm updating a whole OS today.
Thanks 😊
Thanks for tge updates but the iso file isn't downloading on my side what would be the problem please help🙏🙏
are we going to get an updated video using this edition?
This is pretty rad
How did you install I’ve tried installing in truenas scale and had issues I’m downloading quem version now see if that’s any Easier
is it on virtual machine, I did upload kali linux on my virtual machine but the wifi doesn't work, I use Alpha network interface. Any advice?
Can you please make a video how to enable and use the elastic SIEM in kali purple.
Yeah I'm also waiting for that
I have a video about that. There are instructions for it on the Wiki.
Can you kindly communicate the link to the document by OffSec on the pip issue you told?
Just bought a cheap laptop to learn linux, with the intent of using kali linux.
I have downloaded the virtual box and kali vb, this video annoyed me because I assumed everything I've learnt in the last couple of weeks had gone to waste. I am thankful it hasn't.
I think I'll continue my learning kali linux terminal and wait until kali purple has the creases ironed out of it.
I'm a newb who's also waiting for the 'kali linux basics for hackers' book to land on my doorstep.
What are your thoughts, should I continue my path with a more stable version and then get kali purple?
I did a fresh install but I still have the older menu and not the new one.... (on virtualbox)
Will Kali purple be used in your courses
I have the blue version similar to the purple distro
Do we have an arm version?
"Ethical hacker". Hate how the term "hacker" has been hijacked to imply evil intent.
Kali Purple... using few days it lags and its not yet the stable one...
All those tools work fine but gets sometime slow down...
I thought its my Hardware...
But later with my Old Badass Kali it is working smooth...
So still stick to Kali - Purple needs more stability...😊
I had already installed
Ur good mentor
Does anyone know if purple includes all reg kali tools in addition to the new defensive tools, or were some of the red team tools removed?
yeah I'd like to know as well
It doesn’t
wack. but more reason to never bother with kali xD
@@keldrickrash2387 You can still install the regular tool using metapackages.
I Love Black 🖤
Is kali purple ethernet only?
Please can you make a video on how to install that ELASTIC SECURITY SEIM in kali purple in our own kali, downloaded kali purple buti can't change my full system because I have many softwares on it,it's my main OS
I have a full install video called "Hard Mode install"...it covers the entire Kali Purple reference architecture installation.
@@AresCyberDefense I only need to install ELK (kibana), I kali purple it their but when I upgrade my kernel in normal kali I don't get the blue team tools
Does snyk can easily manage multiple git repo?
Yes it can
Be careful when upgrading from previous Kali verisons, it is really easy to brick it and get a nice Kernel panic
I've got a split boot bare-metal install of Kali, are there any good tutorials you know of that cover upgrading cleanly?
@@foxxconner-bailey195 google is your friend here
@@jordi3599 couldn't find anything but I did work through the grub recovery screen that was fun lol got it all done though! Thank you anyways sir
for me kali linux iso image with pre installed tools and full software is best but i think the iso might be around 10gigs but if u need it why no go for it
In Some Environments, you are limited by space or time and so a tiny 450MB netinstall is the best option, and then you download only the things that you need. This is true in a lot of cloud environments. Or if you want a very customized environment and are trying to limit resource usage or attack surface.
Love your reviews! Can we get that tee shirt loaded in the TCM Merch store? Love it!
Only if you like the colour purple
Why not you review kde and gnome environment
Kindly show us how to install it.....,..am really interested in hacking but am new
What ya trying to hack bro lol
Is it exclusively for Defensive Usage?
Purple...
Both and hence purple
This is great. I know it’s new, but do you think it’s good practice tool for a future purple teamer wannabe? 😂
Yes. Another good tool to use use is SecurityOnion.
Whenever I install Kali Linux and upgrade it. It shows no space left. I tried both manual and automatic configuration. Any suggestions?
What are you installing it on?
@@Leo-sd3jt virtual box
Did you download the Kali zip file?
I think this was actually a smart move from them.
Yes. Everyone feels excited about hacking and red team stuff, but there's never that much excitement for log and packet capture analysis tools for defense.
Hy
Oh seriously 😂
wwow
I wish I were you
Good grief - that thumbnail! This site makes you do these right?
Haha. Yes. I wasn't getting views on my videos until I gave up and started to use these crazy thumbnails.
@@AresCyberDefense Aw man. Such a shame that you have to do it, but if it works, then it works.
Do they have it up for aws?
cool
