This is a good base tool
Note that there is no close window in the commands. All windows are being left open(which may be by design). There is a 15 window limit. So the max number of files that could be edited and left open is 15. If each window was closed after edit you could keep going. The updated files would be in session, not in window, and not SAVED. So adding a save before closing the window may also be a good option. Saving may not be smooth depending on setup/files.
Every different use case needs little tweaks.
    I tested that
    mapkey(continued) ~ Input `file_open` `Inputname` `SHAFT_0100258.PRT`;\
line is not needed, only the following update line. At least on my CREO 7

Hi, firtst of all thanks for your comment. I would likely to add that I have mentioned on web page that is necessary to add into your mapkey function Close Window "The Repeatable Mapkey Generator uses the existing Mapkey "4k". The Mapkey "4k" is user-defined and is repeated on every object from the list. Please do not forget to set the Close window at the end of your user-defined Mapkey, because Creo is limited that only 15 active windows are allowed to use."
I use this utility if I need to apply changes to multiple models and assemblies and it works for 1500 objects also (so Save model and Close window is always used in my customized mapkey 4k.
Thanks again and stay tuned. Vladimir

    Hi,
Is it possible to select "composite curve" during udf placement using a mapkey as shown in your example on creating chain links in creo.
I find that only for "composite curve " the find option is grayed out. So I can't use find "3d curve" by feature name or intent datum or other way. The only way is to select in graphics window by mouse.

Sorry, but sometimes is not possible to select / search object as expected.
For your example is working only graphic window 😢
For now, I do not have another workaround... But thanks for your question.
      Stay tuned, Vladimir

    Dear sir,
I tried your mapkey to convert STEP files into PRT files in creo 9.0. but unfortunately this won't work. I understand because the code given by your program is to open the .prt and apply 4k mapkey and close and so on. It can be enhanced to place our custom mapkey, multiply and replace what we need.
For example, if i need to balloon note 1 2 3 4 upto 100, i can create a Mapkey only for note 1 paste there, manually select 1 in mapkey so the utility multiply and replace with 100 instances as given in the list column

      Thank you for question.
I will try it, I think that is possible... Because System will wait for mouse click and placement.
But I need to try 😉
I will stay in touch and share with you my results / necessary file 😎
      Bye, Vladimir

Hi, create only one mapkey (4k) and do what you need (e. G. Export model as stp file and close active window) Crete list of objects what you need to save as stp and generate combined mapkey with Web utility
