It really was. I honestly thought he wasn't even in enough trouble to be fighting it because that isn't a typical position to take someone out with. But nope. He was snoozing. Great eyes by the ref.

Probably the best stoppage by a ref I've seen. I re-watched it a few times and could not tell he was out because it was so fast, his arm didn't drop or anything.
AND the choke wasn't in a typical position to take someone out from. A lesser ref may have though that Gray wasn't even in trouble because he didn't have a pained look on his face when he went out.

Good job ref!!!! ANd this Alex Perez dude is pretty good. Looks comfortable with his stand-up and can sub ppl too. At just 25, he might be one of the many 125 prospects to watch in the next few years
