Hey guys, this is Jake with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Cargo Smart aluminum loading ramps for ATVs, golf carts or whatever you might need to load up in your truck or in your trailer. The number one issue that I have with dual loading ramps when you just get two ramps in a set, is where to set them on my truck or on my trailer. This is gonna solve that problem. It's gonna have these three ramps with hinges on the middle of the two ramps and this is going to allow you to have full coverage whether you're loading a four-wheeler, a dirt bike, golf cart, side-by-side, any of those things, you're gonna be able to use this set of ramps for all of those. These set of ramps are gonna be very lightweight but heavy duty.
They're gonna come in at about 32 pounds for the full set. So they're gonna be light enough to where you can handle 'em in and out of your vehicle or on your trailer. But with that being said they are still going to hold up to anything you use it for. It's gonna hold up to 1,500 pounds on the set of three. They're also gonna have these traction holes that are elevated a little bit and have a little bit of a sharp edge on it.
So when you, your tire hits it they're going to grip rather than slip off the aluminum. Now these rubber sleeves on the ends of the ramps on the truck bed or trailer side, they're going to have a dual purpose. They're gonna be there to both protect your truck bed from being damaged and prevent the ramps from sliding off your truck bed. The entire ramp is gonna be constructed of aluminum so it's gonna last a long time and resist rust and corrosion. So just to show you a quick example of what those straps are actually doing.
So when you drive your quad or golf cart up onto your vehicle your tires are gonna have a tendency to want to kick this ramp out backwards. But as you can see I can't even pull the ramps off of the truck. They're gonna be there to hold it tight against your tailgate. Now, when unloading your four wheeler you're gonna be able to see that those straps are gonna hold it. You can lock up the brakes on your four wheeler and it's not going to move the ramps at all.
These ramps are gonna be 77 inches long and 50 inches wide. So just keep that in mind in case you're wanting to put them in the truck bed underneath your quad and be able to close your tailgate and not have 'em sticking out the back. What you're gonna do is you're gonna start by unlatching the two latches on either side What you can do is you can as long as you have it unlatched, you can just unfold it. Make sure it's tied up against the tailgate of your truck and evenly spaced. I like to use these rivets on the edge of my tailgate to make sure it's lined up right. Now, one of the biggest issues when using these ramps is when you're driving the vehicle onto these ramps your back tires are going to be spinning. So these are gonna have a tendency to kick out from underneath and fall off your truck or trailer. They provide these two cam-buckle straps to be able to strap the ramps to your vehicle so that they don't go anywhere. Let's go ahead and get 'em installed. So what we're gonna do is we're just gonna wrap that around this rail here, cinch it tight, throw it up towards our truck and once you have the proper length pulled out on your strap you can just hook it onto your safety hooks right here and then cinch it down. And this will prevent the ramps from going anywhere when loading and unloading your equipment. (motor revving) As you can see, when we were loading up our four-wheeler the ramps had no kickback and they stayed nice in place. Now that we've got our four-wheeler loaded up we'll go ahead and show you how quickly you can get these in storage. You just loosen your cam-buckle straps, get both of your straps loose, fold up one side, lift up the other, make sure your two latches are hooked safely. Then- (metal clanging) Slide them into place. And with all that being said, guys, that's gonna do it for our look at the Cargo Smart aluminum loading ramps. (quiet music).
