They missed the call on the hit to Lindgren for boarding, trochek was also tripped on the beginning of OT and wasn't called. Also .. you cant skate into a played and fall and expect a call lol. Wasn't a trip. Quit crying. Game could have gone either way. Also.. can only have 5 players on the ice bud.

      That was a penalty 100%. The call should have been made and it was interference. The refs had money on the Rangers for sure. Also refs are reluctant to call penalties in OT because it's the kiss of death. They just piss their panties a little when the offending team gets a 3 on 1. This happens when the interference takes a player out like the Rangers did there. The call on the too many men was also BS.

    as a rangers fan, i'll be the first to admit it....
    that last play shouldve been over before it started. kreider's skate or foot or something clipped petterson's just before taking it and going upice. its a damn shame, but the canucks gave us one hell of a game, regardless of the outcome. special teams were the highlight, rangers might have been the beneficiaries of a call or two, but overall a great game.
    that last play made the win feel a bit tainted though, and didnt really sit well with me as i was watching it live. Shesty definitely stole that one for us, especially with that HIGHWAY ROBBERY in ot. a sick move, maybe the average goalie makes the initial save, but what a play by igor to stay with the play and take the rebound away. canucks have a lot to look forward to this year though. LGR!!!

    • @alexwinter3272
      @alexwinter3272 Год назад +4

    • @HarrisonHollers
      @HarrisonHollers Год назад +1

      I am not a fan of the video review. I want them to adjust the added penalty if only call is confirm; not call on the ice stands. Meaning if it’s too close that Toronto can’t change the call, the team challenging shouldn’t receive an additional two. But it was clearly a good call and video confirms it, then add the two. Penalties are difficult because there is not always stop in play.

      @@setlaxsoccer77 The game is much faster nowadays with pressure on goalies to play the puck. Coming back after years of not following, the offside and interference video review rules are massive improvements. Отличная игра! Обе команды были хороши, спецбригады Рейнджеров сказали свое слово, победу заслуживали и те, и другие, но повезло кому-то одному. Все-таки есть некоторое сомнение, не было ли нарушения в овертайме на игроке Ванкувера? Но игра все равно была прекрасная!

    As one great hockey historian once said "that's hockey". Sometimes you are on one side of a non-call, sometimes you're on the other side (and in the end it all pretty much evens out). Plus you know, in the whole game the refs DID call penalties 6 to 5 to benefit Vancouver (just saying, and on top of that you got a shorty on one of those rangers pp). I know that the rangers pp calls came at the very opportune time to give them 5 on 3s but they still had to score those goals, and Vancouver did as much damage on their power plays as they did on the Rangers power plays. It was a third game in five days on a west Canada trip (four in eight days if you count Seattle game) so you had somewhat tired NY team. I'll gladly, and proudly take the eight points! LGR!

  • @2kidsnosleep
    @2kidsnosleep Год назад +1

    You usually don’t see a single 5 on 3 power play in a game, let alone two. Way to go refs the second one was absolute BS and you missed the trip on Pettersson, but you helped the big market team win. Good fight in the Canucks and Tyler Myers is my all star again👍🏻😎

    In my opinion for some reason the Rangers lines do not work 5vs5. Altho Kakko has made some good moves and gives good passes it seems like for Ziba and Kreider it does not work out. Ziba has also kinda slow start and would need to get going properly. Perhaps something like: 1st Panarin, Ziba, Kreider; 2nd the kid line: 3rd Trochek, Wheeler + ?; 4th x+x+x?

    I will never accept how the NHL works so hard to accomplish two things. Firstly, they love certain teams and those teams often get reffing that is tilted their way. Bettman did it in the NBA and he does it here. Secondly, how the league loves the shootout and will work to make that happen. It's why I gave up supporting the bush league NHL years ago. This game simply reinforces all that I already knew.
    When Canadian teams win, US audiences don't watch. Under Bettman, no Canadian team will ever win the Cup. Proof of that is in the 30 years since Montreal won in 1993 as opposed to how many times Canadian teams won in the years before Bettman.
