*Tip:* there are a lot of very specific (and expensive!) materials that this video recommends you get. But you can actually make substitutions using household products for many of these. Yes, the result won't be as nice - however, if you're curious and want to try wax stamping before committing to expensive equipment, or you want to practice a bit before using the expensive stuff, then you'll find these substitutions handy.
*Stamp:* You can actually use rubber stamps (the kind you would use with ink) for stamping. Note that rubber will not cool down as fast as metal, so after pressing the stamp on the wax, let go of it and leave it there for a few minutes before lifting it.
*Wax:* You can make your own wax using two parts candle wax/crayon and one part glue gun stick (cut your materials into similar-sized pieces before you start). This will make a supple wax, which is suitable for mailing. You can mix glitter into it too. Don't use the chunky kind, obviously. If it's too runny or is bubbling, you're overheating it. Wait for it to cool a bit before pouring and stamping.
*Stove:* Completely unnecessary. You can use just the candle. The stove is good for convenience; you can judge the heat better and you can put the spoon down while the wax melts. It's also a little safer with the stove. But it's not essential.
*Spoon:* Of course, you can just use a normal spoon. But this is actually one of the materials that would be better to get. As ARA mentioned, you should use a metal spoon with a wooden handle for safety. I doubt that everyone has a spoon like that which is also big enough to hold the wax. And of course it's easier to pour with the wax-specific spoon.
The non-essential items are all basically household already. I just wanted to mention that if you don't want to use a dinner plate in place of the *marble plate* for whatever reason, you can just put some parchment paper onto a clipboard (or other hard surface if you're not worried about slippage). It does have to be parchment paper though - don't use wax paper! The wax paper will stick to your hot wax seals. Parchment paper won't
As I said, these substitutions are good for those who are just want to try stamping out, or want to practice before using the actual supplies. If you want to do stamping for an event, like a wedding, you should stick to the stuff that's made for this purpose. Asides from the parchment paper; that'll work no matter if you're using commercial wax or homemade.

I've tried it before and it really does work :) I only have one old metal stamp and I did heard it before that you can use rubber-stamps but I can't find my stamps for ages :') the only thing if you don't have those spoons and stove you have to hold a normal metal spoon and a normal candle but it works fine too. it only will get hot if you hold it above a candle for too long. maybe you can also find something or make something as a holder for your spoon if possible but it ain't a big deal since they melt pretty fast. the only thing is that the glue gun sticks melt slower than crayons so you have to use a toothpick or another object to stir it up.

If it's the latter, they might get a sense of what the comments says, but MTL is still MTL, I still wouldn't recommend it because it's an MTL and MTL's are bad at picking up some themes and inuendos, but I guess it's okay for personal uses, just make sure to remember that Papago's translation are not 100% correct most of the time!!
If it's the former, it's worse since Papago is a different company to RUclips and Google so I doubt they'll use it. Same thing with the latter, Papago is still an MTL so it might translate wrongly and create problems!!
btw, MTL means "Machine Translator" and it's probably generally agreed upon to take their translations with a grain of salt! Papago is better than Google translate, so you might get better tls from them.
If you want slightly good MTLs use Papago for Korean then DeepL for other major languages!!

you can use old crayons and glue gun (the filling of those hot glue gun) you can cut them into small pieces like wax beads and melt 2 wax crayon beads and one glue gun piece for a normal one. there are RUclips tutorials for this if y'all are interested in it :) I've tried it out and it really works
crayons are also usable because they are wax (try cutting them to the size you want or the size of bead wax)

요즘은 투명 글루건을 이용해서도 많이들 만드세요. 색이 있는 반짝이 글루건이랑 섞어서 쓰기도 하고 투명 글루건에 스왈로브스키 크리스탈 올려서 활용 하시기도 하고 압화를 같이 쓰기도 하시구요. 그리고 테프론시트라고 쿠키등을 구을때 깔아주는건데 열에 강해서 여기에다가 씰링 하셔도 좋아요 아주 잘 떨어지고 면적도 넓어서 이용하기 편하실거예요.

Dearest Ara, Happy New Year!!! 💖 Even though I had some time off during the holiday season, I got a bit too caught up in the festivities and before I knew it, it's back to work again! Today I finally had the chance to watch all your incredible videos that I've missed, and it's been a wonderful start to my week. 💝
Actually, this video answered a lot of questions that I had while watching your wax seal compilation, such as the point of a marble plate, whether you could or should clean out the wax before switching colors, and how to attach seals that you've already made. You also taught me a lot of things that I didn't even consider, like the difference between the types of marble plates that you use, the impact of the size of the candle and length of the wick, reusing seals that don't turn out well, and all the soot that collects at the underside of the spoon, even if you don't use it for very long!
All of this shows that you've not only made a very thorough and helpful guide, but somehow managed to put yourself in the mind of a beginner and thought of absolutely everything!! It's amazing! I always say that you are truly an expert at something if you can explain it clearly to someone who doesn't know anything about it...and without a doubt, you've proven that you're an expert when it comes to wax seals!! 🤩
I also wanted to thank you for pointing out safety measures with the heat and ventilation. I'm sure it's partly because I am terrified of accidentally setting things on fire and can be overly cautious... 😂 But honestly, it may seem quite obvious, but too often, I find that people don't think of mentioning these things, and a beginner may never even realize! Especially when it comes to ventilation...I think this is so important for many crafts that are getting more popular these days, like wax seals and especially resin, but for some reason I don't see many people talking about it. So thank you -- for teaching us all these incredible things and also for reminding us to be safe and take care of our health! 💘
Another thing that I really liked was the fact that you explained which items are optional, and even alternatives for some of the items! This is soo helpful for a beginner, especially now that we live in a world where people think that you need to have as many things as a popular youtuber in order to make your creations as nice as theirs. And some of their items may be very expensive! It's just not feasible, especially for beginners who want to try something out for the first time. One example is when you showed us the Taobao candle vs. Daiso candle. At first, I was a bit disheartened to hear that the Taobao one was better because the Daiso one is more like the standard tealight and is much easier to find. But then I became really happy again when you showed us that we could just trim the wick to make it work the same way! That is just brilliant -- both as an idea and that you thought of pointing out this very important piece of information! And speaking of Daiso, when you pointed out the items that you got from there, I couldn't believe it! They look so expensive and I actually thought that you'd specifically ordered them from a fancy place for this purpose 😂 not that there's anything wrong with that either, but it was a very nice surprise and now I will have to think like Ara when I'm shopping at Daiso and find alternative uses for things. 😆
You know, there are some things that you pick up after watching many videos of wax sealing, such as incorporating leaves, flowers and ribbon, and using markers to highlight some parts. But it was only in your compilation video that I realized you could also use glitter, and I did notice the difference when you mixed the glitter with the melting wax and when you sprinkled it on top! I definitely prefer the second technique, and I was actually hoping that you would include it in your guide! So thank you for that, too. 🥰 It's a very pretty effect, and I'm definitely a bit too obsessed with glitter, haha. Btw, I know you prefer the marker pens, but I actually really like the effect that you get by dabbing ink! Even if it's not precise, it adds a very nice vintage, handmade touch without being too perfect, if that makes sense. And now I actually wonder if you could use eyeshadow for this effect if you don't have this type of ink...
Oh Ara, you've taught me so many things in this wonderful journey of yours but I have to say, with this guide, you've absolutely outdone yourself!! You've done such a remarkable job and everything about this is just perfect -- much more than I ever thought it would be!! Congratulations, and thank you for this!!! Oh, I also like the effect of dabbing ink on wax seal! It has a softer effect than a marker, but there is a subtle image that only it can have. And I like it more because you said you could feel the vintage mood when you saw it.

If you get wax on your clothes, try this: put some layers of paper towel over the wax. Then use an iron on top. Heat the iron just enough so that the wax will melt. The melted wax will attach to the paper towel. You may have to keep doing this with new paper towels for several times.
Depending on the wax and the cloth, this can help. I have had wax spill several times, also on my carpet. It worked.
However: vibrantly colored wax, such as red, may leave a stain due to the red coloring. I was never able to remove that stain.
