- Undefeated racer (at least on this show) Beto @ONDGAS returns from far-off Houston, and he’d like you all to meet Gator. Gator’s a simple “stock built” build with twin turbochargers, built Coyote engine, beadlock wheels for grip and “some” nitrous… “if we need it.” Meanwhile Robert’s Civic has a sweet K20 engine swap, a honkin’ 72mm Precision turbo, and is required by NHRA law to have a parachute. Who’s gonna win? And who’s lyin’??

Yup. Civic needs some suspension work. If you're spinning all 4 on the strip , (which is what he said) in a 900hp/750tq car , you need suspension work. His advantage is weight. The twin turbo 5.2L V8 advantage is gonna be trap speed/ back half. So.. gotta get out that hole!
Not to mention nos and fucking CO2 for the turbos.

I just have to point out how impressive it is that Beto stays in it when a 1200+hp truck with no cage gets squirrely mid-track, most people would either lift or lose it but he just points it straight and stays in it, that truck is scary fast.

I'm a JDM fan I like the Honda, but had pull for ONDGAS because they out there representing Houston proudly.
Really enjoyable to watch a full sized 4500 pound pickup truck make that super duper most amazing little hoodoo car look like it was standing still as that truck started behind and drove right around him for another win at 3 + lengths.
When I saw that truck in the thumbnail I knew it was over. Midnight has been building some crazy trucks.

A little bts from the video on their channel. Apparently it didn’t launch properly on the first race. It only made 3 pounds of boost. They actually tuned it down to 8 pounds so it would grip better on the non prep surface. It helps to have your whole crew with you lol
