I file my roof claim n they paid me ACV instead of RCV. I call my insurance n they told me that I got RCV policy but my roof was over 15 years n that’s why I got ACV. He told me that if I was file my roof claim before the 15 years age roof then I would get RCV. Is that true??? So basically roof over 15 Years old u would get ACV instead of RCV when u file roof claim.
It depends on the language of the insurance policy. Was this a home or commercial property? Some insurance companies will have clauses about actual cash value for property over a certain age, but you have to read the policy.
