Believe it or not, Enceladian geological features are named after characters and places mentioned on The Tales of the One Thousand One Nights, or simply, The Arabian Nights.
If we, (they? we?) do detect some kind of life on Enceladus, even trace amounts, you better BELIEVE the funding would start POURING in to further scientific missions in that direction! I just hope some of these profound questions will get an answer within the remainder of my lifetime. The clock is TICKING lol Tic Toc Tic Toc ⌛
if you're worried about an Andromeda strain scenario why not just leave the water on the space station and ship up the lab and maybe even the biologist to work on it? Seems to me we need a waypoint for things that don't belong on the planet.
It's 2019. We have sent spacecraft to land on other planets and have two outside of our solar system. We've created anti-matter and launched a car into space. But we still can't have video calls without the packet seizures. lol Alien life heard our signals. But they heard what we would hear traveling on an interstate listening to channel 19 on a CB radio. We may be on their "Top 10 worst places to visit" list. lol
I love how this channel revived my interest in science. There's so much to learn from StarTalk . Keep it up guys
Chris and Carolyn, two of my absolute favorite people. Let's get back to Titan and Enceladus!
Haha you can hear Chris's baby in the background lol that's adorable 😂
This project is so exciting.
Cassini is part of Saturn itself now 😆 so this must be a rerun
Great show

10 AU away. That's it. To discover life on another world!

Carolyn could have at least given a quick yes or no in her final 12 second wrap-up without expounding on her answer.
Hi
They could bring samples to ISS space station without any risk to earth.

I know it's a re run (yup mediocrity' s maze) but it's still fascinating to watch 👍
Of course it's fascinating
