  • Dr Allen Davis from Auburn University School of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences provides an outstanding lecture on the basics of aquatic animal nutrition.
The feed represents from 40 to 60% of the variable cost to produce fish or shrimp in aquaculture. Yet many farmers have a poor understanding of the basics of nutrition and feed management which are interconnected. In this webinar we will cover the basics of nutrition and how they relate to production and choosing a suitable feed for your operation. In additional webinars we will present information on feed management for fish and shrimp.
    D. Allen Davis is an Aquatic Animal Nutritionist with the Auburn University School of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences. Throughout his career he has dedicated his research and teaching efforts to improve technologies for the culture of marine (Florida pompano, red drum, red snapper, white seabass, California yellowtial and Pacific white shrimp) and freshwater (catfish, and tilapia) species for aquaculture.
