Okay but why is no one talking about how beautiful this performance is? Every movement is so controlled and precise, yet so fluid you can't even tell where one step ends and another begins. I'm just. Fucking speechless a dancer has never given me chills like these two have

Not to reply to something ancient, but this is exactly how I felt when I saw Elliot Moss' "Without The Lights" video. The choreography was just so beautiful and fluid, and it told such a clear and descriptive story that it blew me away. Highly recommend if you enjoyed this.

Wow, I really appreciate the outfits they wore in this. It makes you really focus on the dancers movements and how intimate the dance is.And not to mention my favorite song that pairs with this. Really strikes home the emotion the dance and the song is trying to portray.

I have been watching this video for years, and it still fascinates me like the first day. This is absolutely perfect, I love this song but also wouldn´t be the same to me without this exquisite and deep performance. I totally love this.
I regularly revisit it and it never ceases to amaze and move me.
The choreography is hauntingly beautiful, the performance flawless, and the feel is somehow alien and intimate at the same time. Wow

I love the feeling that all of Woodkids songs make, it's just so beautiful
I appreciate that they kept steady clips showing the dancers entire bodies. Many modern tv shows (dancing with the stars) cut between too many clips too quickly and you can’t see what the dancers are doing. It’s like they think we’ll get bored.
I love to see the co-dependence they perform. And how mostly he helps her move and how he can move faster without her but chooses to move with her yet at the end she walks away leaving him behind as if he made her stronger and she took that strength to go on without the relationship. Astonishing piece.

Why?
A marriage of wonderful composition, eloquent choreography, and skillful cinematography. A beautiful work of art to behold.
Actually I wanted to kick in the ass the film editor guy at those moments when I couldn't see choreography in full height, that was stupid editing. Skillful cinematography but not the best, alas. Everything else is what I agree with.
Woodkid tells no lies and delivers strong visual interpretation of what he is sharing. In England we have a saying Gobsmacked meaning lost for words awe struck and this was sublime in it's artform.

I am speechless. Every piece fit perfectly in place. I wanted to keep going as I sat mesmerized by the performance - both the dancing and the song/singing. What a wonderful way to end my day.

No, it's more of type of ballet.. with contemporary and modern movement. Jazz is a little different.. but in can see what you mean. :)
Contemporary dance is not ballet... In a few words.. It's an independent type of dance which reject the esthetic of ballet, focusing on the sensations dancers have, and not what they look like.
Like Abby Lee Miller from Dance Moms said, ballet is the base of many styles of dance like jazz and contemporary.
