To be honest, I was really worried about what would be said here before clicking the video, but I have to say after watching this, the message by Pastor York is totally logical, reasonable and inspiring. Thanks for this.
Thank you for this video, as a young man aspiring to the pastorate it has helped me think soberly about the type of woman I should be pursuing as a life partner in marriage, thank you and God bless you 🙏🏿
My mother was my Pastor's wife (my dad), and I am a Pastor's wife. I think this guy hit the nail on the head. I can't think of anything to criticize him over.
Another great video brother. Based on all of the videos of yours that I have seen I wish that I could say that it's hard to believe that anyone would say do anything mean spirited to you. That being said, after 47 years as a Christian, and having fellowshipped with and visited many churches here in Canada and the the United States, I can attest the many churches are spirit filled, the problem is that it's the wrong spirit that it is filled with. The devil truly does is a roaring lion wandering about seeking whom he can devour. It's very disturbing to see how many truly unsaved people fill the pews of our churches. God bless you brother and continue to look to Him, who is both the author, and the finisher of our faith.
I am a pastor's wife and this is very helpful. Today the expectation is that a pastor's wife leads women's ministry - I just don't have the gifts for that, not the leading part anyways. I doubt I live up to the expectations he is talking about but I know exactly what he is talking about being forgiving, being discrete, and prioritize being his wife!
What if a pastors wife doesn't go to church much? Not because of sickness. Just doesn't want to. Should the pastor stepdown? If he can't manage his own house well. He shouldn't be a pastor. True? Should a church hire a pastor where his wife isnt saved? Think it be fine for him to get into some other mystery. But as a leader of the church. U need to get your wife and kids there. Obviously their's people who are unequally yoked. Can't make them go to church. Of course the kids u can have go.
I don't agree. Your comment implies that women need to be taught by women, and yes, in today's society a man informing a woman is considered an improper thing to do. If the only person a female will take instruction from is another female, they're already in trouble and even more so, the organizations who seem to think that teaching in the church should be handled this way on a regular basis. It's this modern assumption and practice that tends to divide the Christian family. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and consider the comment to be sarcasm, but if it isn't, or there are people reading it that take it seriously . . .
@@fredflintstone8048 It's totally fine that you don't agree. And, no, I was not being sarcastic in my response. Truly a missed opportunity by not having a pastor's wife give her thoughts.
@@miltmitchell Thanks for your feedback. I don't think it would matter. The standard human rebellion against headship that God put in place, men in rebellion to Christ being their head, and women being in rebellion to men, who were set in place as their head will be their points of rebellion (1Co_11:3). I know of so many women who identify as Christian who are absolute experts on the book of Ruth that don't know near enough as much about the rest of the bible. They're going to be more open to listening to their own gender more readily, they're going to have more respect for their own gender. That said, it's the fallen sinful flesh that causes it. It isn't God's way, but it's a reality of the fallen flesh. Paul knew of it as well and advised older women in the church to teach the younger women to love and respect their husbands in Titus. Women seeking, finding female spiritual leadership are part of a trend that is driving a wedge in the Christian home. Many woman have more respect for the female church leaders than they do for their husbands. That was never God's intention either. You won't find any doctrine in the bible that sets up female spiritual leadership for women. It's why I would never encourage messages to be delivered by women to other women. It's a rebellious habit already.

This sounds like it should be "expectations of any wife".
I agree. Proverbs 31.
What do you think of " Pastor " John Paul Miller ?

What about a Pastor’s husband?
There is no woman pastor in scripture.
Respectfully, this should have been done by an actual pastor's wife. It missed the mark extensively. Not a very attuned message.
I don't agree.
