Sword characters are not really that bad and I barely feel like Cloud is a true sword character, but Cloud is a hard matchup if they can catch Kirby in forward smashes.
Super clean gameplay of JeJa. Played this matchup immaculate and only went for Swallowcide cheese in ideal moments. Definitely deserved that 25th placing. Shame there weren't more sets of him to go off.
There were a lot of sets that couldn’t be streamed. It was way more stacked than Europe
I've been waiting awhile for Jejajeja to play in a tournament again, and I was not disappointed. :)
He had a 3rd place juice box run super recently, he did so well and the games were hella intense u should check it out

It’s optimal which is why he struggles against zoners and defensive play. He can’t get anything started if you wall him out with his poor range and air speed.
Yeah it doesn’t work all of the time against good kirby players. They can punish your landings really well. So it’s best to play defensive instead of campy

Interesting lack of neutral airs from Jejajeja. Perhaps that is a secret to making this matchup work. I still feel like neutral air would have helped a lot at high percents. Also, there perhaps should have been some stone punishes when Cloud returns to stage because a straight upward recovery is very vulnerable to down B and the damage and knockback is high on that move. On another note, the B reverses have been very impressive. I also wonder about the lack of dash attacks to catch landings that could have killed at high percent.
I'm guessing it's a combo of nair having short reach compared to Cloud sword combined with the fact that Cloud up B is disgustingly good out of shield if you're not properly spaced away from it. Not sure why there aren't more dash attacks though besides it just being a high committal move that can result in death if you misread it.
You gotta adapt your playstyle to your matchups, and nair didn't look like it would have worked on Cloud

I see it all the time. You're already in advantage. You don't need to go towards center stage. As Cloud all he had to do was walk forward a couple steps to set up a ledge trap
Unfortunately not everyone shares the knowledge that you do

Because not every match can be streamed and we shouldn’t because it’s unfair. He got eliminated super early and there’s multiple o5her sets that can be streamed
So there’s no reason you should have that excuse
