when a strong wind blows, you can immediately see those who saved on buying a quality umbrella)) very rare scaffolding as on the 40th street. why so few of them. more practical. more beautiful. more convenient. have at least some rudiments of design. thank you for filming this for us!

My first stay in Manhattan, I was at a hotel on 44th & 8th. I got to know that area very well because I walked it a lot, and there was snow on the ground at the time. I had a blast! Thanks for taking me back there for a rainy day visit.

If you ever do come, I as a native NYer must tell you that while the city is great and a must see you must to get out of Manhattan and see Queens and Brooklyn and even the Bronx (Yankee stadium/BX zoo) and even Staten Island. This is the real NY. Manhattan is just the window dressing. Very beautiful and expensive window dressing but still just the same.

Sidewalks seem just as crowded in the rain as in fine weather no difference really. Do people still hand out free poncho’s I experienced that in 2010.

My only question is how do you get the umbrella to open with one hand on the gimbal. Must be the third hand.
It’s tricky but I can do it! Hold the umbrella with the gimbal in the same hand while the other one opens the umbrella.
