For the people 10 years ago that didn't get it - Olivia is from the main universe and thus didn't recognise the low oxygen hazard alarm so she didn't take the time to use the inhaler, which gave her enough time to react and not get crushed.
Well technically, while she is frm the main universe, wasnt she getting her memory back during this time? Like they had slightly converted her & she would've used it but, her OG memories was coming back hence her not using it cause it doesn't exist in the main universe?
This is so wonderfully weird. How did that world end up with "compromised air quality" as a common hazard at construction sites? How did ball-point pens become as distinctive as silver dollars? All kinds of little touches that demonstrate how the Other World is distinctively not Our World.
This is one of my favorite moments from the whole show. There's a certain wonder involved here, bc the guy knew and understood EVERYTHING - but not that. W his genius, he had to have figured out the other universe stuff. Given that it had made such obvious marks in his own universe. But even knowing that, he could not have figured out that this one seemingly random individual was in fact her alt universe counterpart and wouldn't behave as expected. It's really brilliant writing.

It's the Fringe TV series, best sci fi show in both universes. Olivia Dunham is, in my not particularly humble opinion - because I'm right, the best heroine of sci fi shows and movies. Prove me wrong...@@Dino_world110
The guys plan didn't work for one reason only-he didn't, and couldn't really, account for Olivia being from a a different universe. Because she didn't remember the protocol in this one.
Quick theory, I think Olivia would have survived even if she stopped to put on the breather. Here's why, since this is olivia from our side and she has cortexiphan and she would probably have just activated her power as she would be scared to die. Also another thing we learn later on is cortexiphan accelerates healing like with the headshot, so it probably wouldn't be fatal anyways. Now if it was the other Olivia, she would most likely die or get fatally injured. So Olivia might just have saved Altlivia' s life by taking her place in more ways than one.
You probably shouldn't watch scenes from seasons you haven't gotten to yet with this show. Yep, Charlie died. Yes he's here. It makes sense as you go through the show.

That explanation doesn't even make sense, the dude can predict her behavior based on what he has seen of her, not someone else, not another Olivia from this universe, her all along. This is absolute laziness and a dumb scenario. I am happy if you guys think it's the pinacle of storytelling, and I myself have my own guilty pleasures, but here this is just too stupid.

One of the best episodes. I also miss the friendship between Charlie and Olivia.
They made a big mistake by removing Charlie from the series.
