Hey guys! Today I I dug up some more of my old, childhood artwork and chose a couple (really bad) drawings that I am going to re-do them as an adult and see if I can improve them! These are really poorly done drawings, so I do a fair amount of roasting (you've been warned 😂 ), but remember if you are a beginner artist, it's okay to not make great art at first. In fact, even if you've been doing art for a long time (*cough* ME), it's okay if your art isn't the best. Don't fall into the trap of comparing yourself to other artists or put too much pressure on yourself. Most of us are just doing this art thing for fun. So do whatever is enjoy able for you! Okay. that's the end of my talk now 😂
This is kinda similar to the "draw this again" challenges I've seen from other youtubers. I was originally going to title this "Re-doing my childhood artwork." BUT I realized this video has a super similar format to my squishy makeovers. There's an art critique section (squishy roasting) and it's all about taking something that doesn't look it's best and transforming it into something new.
I ended up using a bunch of different media for these different drawings including watercolor, colored pencils, digital art with ipad and procreate and watercolor pencils.
Please let me know if you would like to see me do anymore videos like this and if there are any more drawings from the pile that you would like to see me redo in the future. I had a blast with this, and it would be a great way to fill my sketchbook which has been a little neglected lol.

Hey! my name is Moriah (pronounced muh-rye-yuh 😂 ) and this is my channel....obviously. I'm 26 and like doing anything creative...and being snarky.....just a lil. I make a lot of decorating, painting and general art videos here. I'm obsessed with editing and adding lil bits to my videos, so if that's not your thing....oof you may hate this haha. I paint on squishies, thrift store finds, and other random things I pick up. I also love to draw, but don't expect anything too skilled, I'm not the best at that haha. You will also find occasional crafting/testing crafting kits on my channel which are always a hot mess. And even some baking (REALLY bad at that, but it's fun to try LOL).

Moriah has made me feel so comfortable with this kind of style and being myself because I am almost a teenager and teenagers these days are trying to act and be all grown up. i just wanna say that i used to not draw a lot bc i thought the only type of "good art" was like realistic art and all that but now that i watch Moriah i realized that go art can be like rainbows and deserts at lots of cutesy animals and i figured out that i kinda have the same art style its similar thats what im trying to say but Moriah has shown me that my art doesnt have to be realistic to be "good art"
but also really there is no such thing as good art its the same as someone trying to say something is perfect there is no such thing everything as little flaws and thats just how this world works and thats okay

this video is when i learned that Moriah was left handed XD I've been watching her since she first started and i'm just now figuring this out! Also, I think you wet a brush and paint the wet paint brush on the led part of the watercolor pencil. And then you use the paintbrush to paint the picture.

On procreate you don’t need to use the smudging tool to blend colors,all you need to do is go to the magic want in the top left corner,tap Gaussian Blur and slide to the right. The more you slide the more it blends. Hope this helped!😊

I actually have a pack of the water colour pencils that you used one the last drawing and for me they wrote so good. I love the new drawings then the old ones. I love the pig its just SO cute!!!! Love your vids Moriah!!!
I’m on the higher end of the drawing skill spectrum, and I can relate to the fear of colour! I was scared of colour till I mastered pencil crayons and alcohol ink.
Now I colour with anything pen shaped, gel pens check, a biro…. Why the heck not check. Gold leaf pens who’s fumes get me high, check. Whatever lol

I have watercolor pencils I love them the way they don’t give you the watercolor affect you draw with them like normal pencils and then you go over it with water and it turns into water colors

just to let you know i'm not sure but when i was younger, the way we used water colours was that we'd dip the water pencils in water and then use them. :)
