Ah, you can tell that no matter who was watching, they probably knew the original source material better than the scriptwriters behind the show. But this being a quality poop, this fact is largely irrelevant here.
Let's face it, no matter what's worse, they arguably belong in the same league. You don't just turn Hyrule into a generic medieval kingdom, or make Ganon/(dorf) into a saturday morning cartoon villain. But in fairness, Link and Zelda can be literally any two people, provided Zelda comes from the royal family. That's basically the only real condition.
