Honestly my only issue is the cheaters, everything else is fine to me but the fact that the cheating problem is so rampant kills the enjoyment which sucks because I play on PC
Cheaters are half the reason I switched entirely to xbox, and now I'm being forced right back into that environment. Really sucks and pushes me away from competitive games even more.
@@porkch0mp538 Did I say that anywhere in my comment or are you just slow in the head? Also the cheats on console don’t even get close to the cheats on PC and are barely a problem to me
@@-user_redacted- I did the exact opposite because I have been fading away from COD. No fun grinding ranked and getting iridescent with a cheater in every game when I can play twice the number of competitve shooters on PC with much better anti cheats
@@notagod7804 what are some good FPS games to play on pc? Trying to move away from mw2. It’s just not enjoyable with the HARSH SBMM and the cheaters. Any suggestions of better games to try would be appreciated
It's a lose lose situation. If you remove crossplay, some people will complain that they can't play their favorite modes or match making times are too long. If you keep it, people will point fingers at other platforms for things like cheats or aim assist. At the end of the day, Activision will keep crossplay because it benefits their metrics. 🤷
We have crossplay and still can’t play our favorite modes because they’d rather have everything be temporary to increase player retention rates with FOMO garbage. 3 different platforms on one of the biggest shooters in the market and you can’t have 10v10 be permanent???
As selfish as it sounds, but just how many players suffer from cheaters and KBM vs controller issues? Aren't cheaters end up in higher skill brackets and spoil the game for a few % of players? Same goes for controllers - for most part people of different skills on different controllers are just in different skill brackets. Issues start to rise in high skill lobbies that are in minority. So to me, it looks like, aside from occasional blatant rage hacker, it's a win-win situation due to larger pool of players available.
@@RocketRenton the gaming community at large wanted crossplay. MW19 would’ve sucked during the Pandemic and no Crossplay since our group was graduating HS and migrated to different systems by the time that started.
@@justaguy1253 no some in the gaming community wanted it for battle royale games and that was it. I for sure didnt mind it in battle royale games but for multiplayer games i was against it and i played a mmo that had crossplay before br games became big
An optimal solution would be to have an option not to fully disable crossplay, but to mark a preference to rather have no mixed player pool. This way for example PC/Mouse-Keyboard players could get exclusive lobbies when there are enough players, but when a PC player wants to play an unpopulated mode where there are too little players currently queuing for a match, they can get put into controller lobbies. This way it's more flexible and ensures that no platform dies out. And since this only happens when there are very few PC players, it shouldn't be that big of an issue.
Mouse and keyboard is not an issue if you play same level. Pc has huge advantage. Exclusive ace is tottaly wrong 240 or 300 frames is a huge difference
@@Demon_Cleaner ik there is worse out there but this is by far the worst game community I have ever experienced. the amount of copium, double standards, and confirmation bias amongst other things in this community is nauseating. that's why it's better to just get on, play for as long as you can stomach it and hop off.
I wouldn't have been playing cod the last few years without cross play, allowing me to play with friends regardless of platform. Another benefit is that the older games have a higher population and don't die off as quickly. The problem is that we really need the option to opt out of cross play, or at least segregate controller vs KBM. Overall I think cross play is a good addition but it could be better integrated.
Same. The only reason I got MW 2019 was because of crossplay which meant I'd be able to play with my friend and I ended up loving the game and ended up playing it a ton
This, input-based matchmaking is the most important thing to me. I play controller on PC to reduce KB&M users in my lobbies, so having that option to definitively get KB&M users out of lobbies would get a lot of cheaters out since most use KB&M. Especially since I only play with friends on console and PC friends with Controllers.
For Xbox players you can disable the cross play in the settings menu just go on to settings then account - privacy and online safety - Xbox privacy view details & customize then communication & multiplayer - block on cross-network play hopefully it makes sense.
It’s weird that I don’t own an Xbox but I know about this lol. I’ve written other comments about turning off crossplay on Xbox and people are like what?!
Im on ps5 and had crossplay on for the first few months on mw2 then my brother suggested to turn it off and instantly I noticed a massive difference in winning gunfights. I suggest to anyone on PlayStation to turn that setting off and I guarantee you will have a better experience overall
I keep running into people that know when I am even when I’m crouched walking around corners. They don’t peek they just jump out already shooting (with cross play turned on)
Crossplay is perfect for co-op games like Warframe. Cross-console is what we wanted for games like CoD. PC being added to crossplay in competitive games is insane.
It's hilarious how stupid it is. I literally don't play any competitive shooters anymore because of this crossplay bs. The only game I still play is Dead By Daylight since I can still compete with PC.
Cheating aside, MW 2019 for me was bought on the sole fact that I could play with ALL my friends and family. For the first time ever in a decade, I could play with my uncles, brother, and friends all at the SAME time. Before we were all separated on PC, Xbox, and Playstation. That to me is WELL worth having to deal with cheaters.
@@elg7365 You’re also matched against Series X and PS5 which have 120FPS modes. So the “more fps” argument just doesn’t work. Especially since FOV sliders are on console now. Beyond 120fps you really won’t see much of a benefit and literally 99% of PC users you are going up against won’t have a rig that can hit 300fps, let alone a monitor that has a refresh rate that high.
@@baanfrey yes it is also unfair. It works. Also the best you get is 100 frames at most. You are tottaly wrong that beyond 120 frames there is no much gain. Tottaly wrong. And only if you have a gaming monitor. Alot play on TV. A descent pc will give more that 120 consistently. The issue is by the video logic that he want a consistent plane. And pc can't give that. Input is not the main problem. Connection, and frames are. Input has both advantages and disadvantages so in whole it is fair game. I had a gaming pc, I gave it cause cheating was destroying my experience.
@@elg7365 Sounds like a you problem dude. Console been had this with pro controllers and other accessories. The best players don’t even need them. Look at futives the dude who dropped a nuke in SND, he legit did that on a broken PS4 controller. Again, literally 99% of people will not have a rig or monitors that can push out and display the crazy insane frames you’re talking about. 120fps is already more than enough for competitive gameplay. Any higher and you’ll see significant diminishing returns when it comes to input latency vs cost. You can complain 24/7 about the small things that honestly don’t really matter but I’d rather address the real issues in the game like SBMM, P2W in DMZ, or cheaters.
A lot of us didn’t want cross play between console and PC, just console to console. I don’t care if it’s controller or M&K on PC, I just don’t want em playing with me
You can’t talk about cross platform play without talking about cheating, which is introduced primarily on PC. And that has been an absolute disaster for console players.
From the PC side of things, it’s awesome to play with my friends on console. On the other hand, I’m a mega casual and I still trash on console players because I can just click on heads from 100 meters away. (5000 hours of ArmA will do that to you) but the disbanding lobby’s thing sucks, and getting cheaply killed by aim assist can be a little annoying
before crossplay, pc clients were never taken seriously. iw and treyarch routinely used to release trash pc clients, and iw loved to impose 91fps p2p only and fov locks. treyarch was the better of the two, but both also had rce exploits. because of the party game feeling of cod and limited maps and no dedicated servers, it was never popular on pc. that changed with mw2019. i think it would have succeeded on its own just by having dedicated servers, but crossplay definitely helped. the reality is that ever since mw2, activision was very hostile to pc, and purposely made shit clients. another thing to consider is this. the rise of pubg and fortnite. as i said before, activision never cared about pc with their clients. but suddenly pubg sells like hotcakes, and fortnite is big and they think pc is a good market again. they wanted to heavily monetize the game, and the only way to do that was with crossplay.
Also PC versions were dead after less than 1 year usually. Like "less than 50 players global you cannot ever find a match" dead. The garbage ass ports and 0 care just fostered no community, and no new players wanted to come because it was dead. Crossplay is the only reason it became a thing on pc again.
And now its biting them in the ass with cheaters ruining the multiplayer side of the game and if they could they would charge players for warzone but cant especially with every br game being free i think tarkov u have to pay not too sure on that tho but if cod could they would put a price on warzone they bait with ops, guns and skins for new cods that come out to entice buying it by adding it in base warzone.
If they have a really strong Anti-Cheat then cross-platform wouldn't be such a big concern. I've been playing Valorant since beta and maybe encountered 5 cheaters all together. Obvs thats a PC only game. But their anti-cheat is really good imo. As regards to the different inputs? I agree with ace. No matter what they do, it will always lean towards one inputs over the other. Both have advantages and disadvantages respectfully 🤷♂️
Crossplay is a big win for my friends and I even when I was on xbox and they had a PS4 it actually got us back on Cod after taking a break for years. I've since switched to PC and its fairly unbalanced the competitive advantages you get from having the stronger unit with higher fov. It is big a deal for multiplayer but for warzone its game changing imo. Sure ive gotten better at the game over time but to go from 1.59kd player to a 2.20 without changing to a playstyle which focuses on boosting KD shows me a competitive advantage I was missing out on which plain and simple isnt fair to console players.
> I've since switches to PC and its fairly unbalanced the competitive advantages you get from having the stronger unit with higher fov. It as big a deal for multiplayer but for warzone its game changing imo. All the "unbalanced the competitive advantages" means noting in presence of SBMM.
okay but you'd get those same exact advantages if you just got a ps5 or xbox series x/s and played with a monitor, so maybe we should ban playing between console gens as well
The seperation of console and PC I think is needed. Aside from cheats and FPS; consoles have had previously with exceptions of minor updates a 10 year life cycle. If this continues to hold true PCs will in time have a tremedous advantage over consoles. Input I don't have that much of an issue with, +/- to both.
Crossplay is massive for my friend group as we're a 50:50 mix of console and PC players with M&K + controller players mixed across both. Without that we would never be able to play together and as a group its brought us much closer together online as well as offline.
I wish for opt out. It sucks when it is latter at night and I find myself in lobbies that have ping rates that are 200 and above too the point I have to leave the lobby because you can not move the lag is horrible. Then I have back out go to setting and shut off cross play then I have to deal with the BS ( You cannot play this because you don't have cross play on) or what ever the damn message is, I have to negate the message 2 or 3 times.
Cross-play hasn't hurt the franchise....mixing console and PC did. They will NEVER add an option to opt out of matchmaking with PC players only because almost everyone would do it.
If crossplay was Xbox vs Playstation only and the controller was the only allowed input device, I would not have any problems. Since crossplay with PC is forced it ruins the experience for me! And on Xbox you can’t even disable crossplay in the main menu of CoD which is rediculous. Going through the hassle of disabling it in the Xbox core settings brings another set of issues…. Just give people a choice how they want to have crossplay in their games. A somple option in the settings menu is enough. It’s long overdue, like still not having a server browser in CoD. If people could choose which map they want to play at all times, we would not need stupid temporary playlists….
I think the idea of cross-play hurts the community more than cross-play actually does. You mentioned in a video last week or so that you've run into a single digit number of cheaters this year and I'm in the same pool. I think there's only one guy I've seen cheating this year and a few "maybes." But if you'd asked my friends, they'd say we run into one cheater a night, at least. Anyone with stellar aim or that can flick well on PC is a cheater to them. I imagine this is a pretty common mindset in the CoD community, especially when content creators a) run into a lot more cheaters in high KD lobbies and b) are quick to cry cheater.
But how do you tell a very good player from a guy using wallhack and "humanized" aimbot? I used to do this shit on PC a long time ago on other FPS games, and for years in competitive with thousands of people watching. This is the biggest issue that nobody is talking about imo, not the obivous aimbotters
If they just made it so console could turn off cross play with pc it would be fine. The only time you’d want crossplay is when you want to play with another friend or when the game is older to expand the matchmaking pool
SBMM, Disbanding Lobbies, bad maps, boring guns, milking its cash cow in Warzone instead of multiplayer. Those are just some of the many things that are actually killing COD.
good video, as kbm player i find playing against good gamepad players very boring, they are all using only taq56 and vaznev and never miss, those rare full kbm lobbies are infinitely more fun
Forcing console players with pc gamers is a bad thing. Console to console is fine. Console to pc, no. There are advantages to both kbm and controller. But the fact that there are so many more/widely available cheats for pc players is the biggest reason crossplay between pc and console shouldn’t exist.
Disbanding lobbies + sbmm + crossplay + mid maps -> only the advancements in animation quality and gunplay only partially compensated the monstrous dip in sheer fun factor for console Cod
@@wistfane get out of here with that pc gamer cope cod pc player base has always been a small % of the console one, all of the youtube scene and e sports during the golden age. Pc player base has only recently gotten bigger and still it couldn’t survive without crossplay
Literally just have all consoles together by default, then all pc together, and both can opt-in for crossplay. No ps4 guys care about only ps4 anymore etc.
For me and my friends even tho we want to play CoD with each other we don’t because we don’t want to play with PC and agree that we should be able to pick which cross play platform we want to play with!!!
COD on PC was always a sub-culture, very small minority. When COD players asked for "cross-play" we only meant PlayStation vs. X-Box. PC integration has taken away resources from the main game. Bugs/glitches/exploits used to be a rare occurence on consoless; now they are common place. Cheating is another big downside; it is something COD players never had to worry about on the older games. I realize cross-play is a financial decision from Activision, so it is not going anywhere, but I wish it didn't harm the core game some much.
Always? COD 3 was the first released for Playstation at launch and only COD 2 made XBOX 360. The OG COD was PC only until a much later port. FWIW there were even CODs for Mac back in the day.
That point about higher skilled lobbies input based matchmaking, i felt that lol. The highest sens most competitive controller players go is 8/8 without losing too much accuracy. But, in a high skill lobby, a kb&m low sens can make that 8/8 look like 4/4 in a gunfight.
That's because we use our elbow, our wrist, and our whole desk. You've got a thumb. My hat's off to you though, I can't aim to save my life with a controller. I don't know how you guys do it. EDIT: If you ever want to give KB/M a try, run high DPI on the mouse and low sensitivity in game. That's the sweet spot most pro players run. It gets you fine precision but a flick with an elbow won't cause you to 1080.

The way they could turn on you and their ability to hear your footsteps, I couldn't even hear my footsteps in the kill cam, but they could... I left after the second one heard me through a couple of walls and you could see them probably hear my footsteps, get into position, and wait. I left after that.
tbf, the audio is scuffed as fuck in the game and does that sometimes. The whipping 180 on you is a thing mkb does, but you get used to that in time and it becomes a non issue.
As a console player that switch to PC , i suggest they should just get rid of PC cross play all together ! PC has the worse cheating that i have ever encounter in my almost 15 years of playing COD , If you go to ranked play every other match your gonna have someone cheating and it’s to the point that they don’t try to hide it anymore , Reporting them doesn’t do anything anymore
Yeah, it has. I never wanna have to play against MK players who have better frames, graphics, and can snipe very well with the mouse movement. Not to mention how much more they can cheat. Miss the old days when it was just all console folks.
Couldn't agree more with your crossplay thoughts. It should be down to the individual to choose who they play with, for me I would be turning off cross play with pc players as it's just too easy for them to hack so it would keep them to lobbies with other cheaters alike.
Cross play has hurt most multiplayer games. People started switching to PC in droves after games started implementing cross play because they have such big advantages
Good imo without a doubt. I think there should be an option for controller only or keyboard only. But overall I’m so glad cross platform playin is there I always wished it existed when I was younger and now I can play with friends on other platforms
We 100% need a console only crossplay. I’d xdefiant succeed in implementing that, I’m don’t with COD. By the way if you switch crossplay off on PS then take the account to Xbox, crossplay stays off. I realised it the other day,I didn’t see any other platform players on seriesx then remembered, when I was playing in PS5 I switched crossplay off and the network remembers that on Xbox as well.
I don't think there should be strict restrictions on cross-input play because then you'd just run into the same issues for if crossplay didn't exist--finding lobbies as a mouse and keyboard player would become impossible. And personally, I refuse to ever play any FPS game with a controller, and I know a lot of other PC players feel the same way. I think people whining about aim assist need to get over themselves, I think the different strengths and weaknesses between controller and PC kind of already do as much 'balancing' as possible there. I'm worried PC/mouse and keyboard Xdefiant is going to die really fast with this kind of system and I feel like call of duty would too with that specific demographic.
We always wanted console crossplay not with pc. Pc players also change game files such as the visibility for water effects so they could see players in water as if they are just floating in mid air
It has been grossly bad for the game. Given the widespread cheating problem, every console player questions each and every kill.. This is not an issue if everyone is on console
@@chipshead3079 Console players can't cheat to the point where they get flawless aimbot and wall hacks, that's what ruins the game. People who use the Chronus are just bad players anyway, so any buffs don't really affect the outcome too much. It's when bad players use walls and aimbot that ruins it, and that's 99% PC.
Tell me you didn’t play MW2, BO1, MW3 or BO2 without telling me you didn’t play those. If you did, you would know that you’d run into just as many hackers then as you do now. 90% of the people that you think are hacking are just better than you.

On its own, I don't think Cross-Play is a bad idea, it increases player count and the overall longevity of the game's life, but I think the inclusion of PC in Cross-Play is INHERENTLY stupid; the advantages that PC have over consoles are huge, and it makes playing against them absolutely miserable. I think there needs to be at the most three options, in regards to Cross-Play: 1: have an 'off' option, 2: have an 'on' option, lol, and 3: have an option to where you can customise who you're cross-playing with. That way, if you're not wanting to sweat against what's arguably the sweatiest gaming platform out there, you can exclude PC from your Cross-Play matchmaking.
I don't think many of us console players would give a 💩if PS4/5 and Xbox players couldn't play with PC players. Gove us the option to not play with PC but play with Xbox players. PC players have ruined the online experience. They are mainly trash so they cheat. We've ran through many PC lobbies on console. And made them quit.
Introducing cheaters(mostly pc) will always be bad for a game. Optional cross input play is needed to drastically improve the casual experience. I also believe the options you laid would be best overall.
I think what screws console guys over more isn't the input difference, it's the difference in display types. Freesync and Gsync monitors have computing hardware inside them and do the syncing in the monitor. We get no input delay. TVs aren't built like that so you guys are stuck with classic Vsync that happens in the console and TVs are terrible at sending the required vsync signals.
There are instances where you just simply die because the other guy has aim assist and you don't. I think that regardless of if you think that trade off is worth it or not, it's a very frustrating state of affairs
Crossplay was the biggest mistake in CoD history. It should have never happened with consoles and PC. PC is way too easy to cheat. Console to console crossplay could be ok, but adding PC brought the current hacking ips problem on this franchise. Crossplay either has to be removed or this franchise will die.
I've been playing CoD on PC since the first entry of the franchise back in 2003. I think the addition of cross-play has been a good thing overall. I can play with all of my friends now instead of only the ones on PC. I believe that a small degree of aim assist is needed in a cross-play environment due to how joysticks work. With that said, HOWEVER, I have been noticing a trend in all the new CoDs that keep making the Rotational Aim Assist stronger and stronger. (MW22 is absolutely bonkers strong for example!) This enables controllers to have god-like tracking ability in CQB with barely any effort which is frustrating because that's mainly what 6v6 MP is all about. In WZ it's not as bad since I can try to counter it by just out-ranging my opponents so the rotational-AA has a harder time to snap on. I just wish there was a way through smart play to counter or break the strength of the tracking! I have dozens of video examples on my SSD I recorded where, thanks to the rotational-AA, an opponent was able to track me though a wall, through smoke, stuns, and even flashes! Makes it very frustrating to watch killcam after killcam dying to what would normally be called aimbotting on a PC-only FPS game. I know many people on controller like to point out the insane aiming ability of CS:GO pros and other top streamers who play games on M+KB all day. However, even they had to practice for thousands of hours to even get to that level of accuracy. The average joe on PC isn't nearly as good and since the aiming is all raw input with no assistance, most people just can't track to the same degree of fully locked in rotational aim assist.
I don’t mind playing against m&k at all. I do mind playing against someone getting 10x the frames I get and killing me before they even enter my screen. Many top RUclipsrs abuse crossplay to fool viewers into thinking they’re better than they are.
@@buddhastl7120 actually thats called Smurfing. They use game breaking movements regardless of console, that players 3.0 KD below them cant keep up with. It's not frames. The game servers has trash latency and buggy movement.
rotational aim assist at it's current strength is just to appease all of the noob cod players, to make them feel like they're good at the game, which in turn, gets them to buy in-game purchases etc. So imo, it's just a business decision to make sucky players good and great players even more godlike. I'd like to see Aim Assist completely gone from all console players, that would be an eye opener to most of them to realize how bad they really are with a controller
It's been horrible for CoD. Anyone that says otherwise has a bias, and is a part of the incredibly niche audience that has friends on other platforms. If anything follow what R6 did. Consoles play with each other, and PC has no crossplay. No more cheaters, and less input mixing
Locking console players to play with PC hurts for sure - especially when the option to turn it off is only available on PS5. I love playing CoD but the forced PC crossplay on Xbox is frustrating. The games just need input based toggles and it’d be great.
Yea its obvious microsoft doesnt care for us xbox players experience im honestly gonna get a playstation. The forced crossplay is not right never was and i been talking about this since wz1 days
I think COD should be console only. No PC cuts out all the cheaters. I can deal with a modded controller but wall hacks are hell. If people weren’t using PC to hack then why did most content creators move from console to PC? Graphics and performance? Yea right.
I'm debating switching from Xbox to Playstation just so I can turn off crossplay and avoid playing against pc players. Way too many sus situations with pc players.
Console only crossplay would be the common sense approach. Whatever tf they are doing now obviously has nothing to do with competitive fairness. Probably a money issue.
It’s a positive for PC and negative for console. Console doesn’t need cross play with PC, but PC would struggle to keep queue times down without console.
Crossplay is part of the reason I came back to CoD. Played from CoD4 to BO2 and then got bored of the series. My friends and I all played on PS3 but now I play on PC primarily, my friends either went PS4/5 or Xbox One/Series, and we were all done with CoD, especially since it had gotten all silly with jetpacks and stuff. Then came MW19 which delivered back to basics gunplay and crossplay meaning we could all play together again. Without crossplay my friend group wouldn't be playing, and I feel like that goes for a lot of people
It's baffling that we've given Activision tens and tens of billions of dollars in the last 20 years, yet we still can't even get them to develop an effective anti cheat.
Disbanding lobbies and SBMM killed it for me. My friend is like super try hard and has crazy stats so when I play with him we get into lobbies with Pro Players. I don’t have any fun dying 30+ times every match
Another banger of a video! Personally I turn off cross play because I have no interest in playing against PC players. Plus, the “sbmm” system that they have is probably the reason I really don’t play COD anymore.
the fact that Xbox players dont get the option to turn it off in 6v6 modes, is utterly unacceptable. Its been bad for console players, there needs to be choices not choices taken AWAY.
during MW 2019 I was playing S & D. going against PC sweats I got sniped and collated with my teammate. I watched the killcam and i was NOT on his crosshairs I was in his scope but the bullet had to make a 45 degree turn to hit me.
I've got about 200 hours in MWII (PC) and I can't recall ever encountering an obvious hacker. I only play Ground War, and out of about 400 matches there has been like 1 maybe 2 times that I thought someone might be hacking. Console players have this idea that every other PC player is hacking, and it's absolutely not true. Not in GW at least.
Yeah and some how the console people have it in their head that using KB/M automatically makes you better than a controller user and that all PC players have a $3,000 rig that can run the game on max settings at 4K@250fps. It sucks that they want to boot me from their match pool just because of the platform I choose to play on. My PC has similar specs to modern consoles and I use a controller to play COD.
@@ijiikieru I cap my framerate at 90 because I'm trying to make this GPU last and I still out react them because they're slow and I'm not. MFs want to be good at the game but they won't put down the blunt.
Crossplay is great, but if there was no cross-input I'd be a lot happier. Keep the controller players and keyboard players separate, I guarentee there would be a lot less complaining from both sides
If you're referring to cheating as the primary reasoning, legitimate PC players like myself get lumped in with cheaters just because I play PC, I think input wise and I've tried both controller is much much easier to do well with how high they have the aim assist in cod these days, but I still prefer my more fluid movement on KBnM.
As a PC player I'd rather just be able to play with other PC players. Regardless of your opinion on aim assist and if it makes controlled better or worse than KBM, it's frustrating to get killed because the enemy can track your chest through smoke or around corners, and you just simply can't to the same degree It should be like the old days of call of duty where we can just blame lag instead, because without that its simply a skill issue
I'm not a fan of crossplay tbh. I like the way XDefiant will be handling it where you can do console only with PS and Xbox with no pc. I usually have cross play disabled on ps5. Another downside is it allows the sbmm to match on skill easier with larger player pool. If cod didn't have sbmm and it was mixed lobbies, i would be more open to enabling crossplay.
No xplay isn't hurting COD, PC being included in crossplay is hurting cod because 100% of cheaters are on PC and optimization is held back as well because of PC. PC needs to go. Besides it's the smallest platform, we don't need them to find games, they need us.
Disbanding lobbies has been bad for cod

It's a lose lose situation. If you remove crossplay, some people will complain that they can't play their favorite modes or match making times are too long. If you keep it, people will point fingers at other platforms for things like cheats or aim assist. At the end of the day, Activision will keep crossplay because it benefits their metrics. 🤷
We have crossplay and still can’t play our favorite modes because they’d rather have everything be temporary to increase player retention rates with FOMO garbage. 3 different platforms on one of the biggest shooters in the market and you can’t have 10v10 be permanent???
Bullshit. Those times is because they don't want crossplay off.

I like this solution
Mouse and keyboard is not an issue if you play same level. Pc has huge advantage. Exclusive ace is tottaly wrong 240 or 300 frames is a huge difference

Crossplay kills older games and increases counts of hackers. Crossplay also brings up unfair advantages between platforms.

Well because sbmm it doesn’t matter, your experience will still be garbage because one of you will be grossly mismatched
Rediculus for me. If you are a decent player against pc with 340 frames you have no chance especially with sbmm
@@elg7365 You’re also matched against Series X and PS5 which have 120FPS modes. So the “more fps” argument just doesn’t work. Especially since FOV sliders are on console now.

(5000 hours of ArmA will do that to you) but the disbanding lobby’s thing sucks, and getting cheaply killed by aim assist can be a little annoying
crossplay is cool but it should never be mandatory
Should have never ever been forced. If im on xbox playing solo theres no way somebody can tell me i should be forced to play against pc players
Like seriously what was activision thinking with forced ceossplay or do they just care that little
I think, Crossplay is a great idea in general, but input based Matchmaking should be standard in every fps
before crossplay, pc clients were never taken seriously. iw and treyarch routinely used to release trash pc clients, and iw loved to impose 91fps p2p only and fov locks. treyarch was the better of the two, but both also had rce exploits.
because of the party game feeling of cod and limited maps and no dedicated servers, it was never popular on pc. that changed with mw2019. i think it would have succeeded on its own just by having dedicated servers, but crossplay definitely helped. the reality is that ever since mw2, activision was very hostile to pc, and purposely made shit clients.
another thing to consider is this. the rise of pubg and fortnite. as i said before, activision never cared about pc with their clients. but suddenly pubg sells like hotcakes, and fortnite is big and they think pc is a good market again. they wanted to heavily monetize the game, and the only way to do that was with crossplay.
I was for years pc gamer. I switched cause of cheaters.

Yeah my squad plays with every platform, so crossplay helps us have fun together.
okay but you'd get those same exact advantages if you just got a ps5 or xbox series x/s and played with a monitor, so maybe we should ban playing between console gens as well
The seperation of console and PC I think is needed.
Mixing console and pc together is crossplay by definition….

Cross play is often a scapegoat for low skill level and bad matchmaking systems.

Forcing console players with pc gamers is a bad thing. Console to console is fine. Console to pc, no. There are advantages to both kbm and controller. But the fact that there are so many more/widely available cheats for pc players is the biggest reason crossplay between pc and console shouldn’t exist.

The average joe on PC isn't nearly as good and since the aiming is all raw input with no assistance, most people just can't track to the same degree of fully locked in rotational aim assist.
yeah, console players as a whole really do seem to think PC players are all playing 4k 300 fps with cracked aim
Well said
rotational aim assist at it's current strength is just to appease all of the noob cod players, to make them feel like they're good at the game, which in turn, gets them to buy in-game purchases etc.
At least PlayStation gives their players the option
I think COD should be console only. No PC cuts out all the cheaters. I can deal with a modded controller but wall hacks are hell. If people weren’t using PC to hack then why did most content creators move from console to PC? Graphics and performance? Yea right.
I turn crossplay off on PS5. Don't like playing against PC players. Xbox vs Playstation only would be nice.
Without crossplay my friend group wouldn't be playing, and I feel like that goes for a lot of people
I'd like cross-console play. Goodbye PC cheaters.
It's baffling that we've given Activision tens and tens of billions of dollars in the last 20 years, yet we still can't even get them to develop an effective anti cheat.
I turn off cross play for ranked cuz I don’t wanna play against EQ abusers. But I turn on cross play for warzone or casual multiplayer.
Disbanding lobbies and SBMM killed it for me. My friend is like super try hard and has crazy stats so when I play with him we get into lobbies with Pro Players. I don’t have any fun dying 30+ times every match
Just turned off cross and I can say I’ve had 85% better lobbies and I’ve noticed more clans playing together 💯 more unity
Another banger of a video! Personally I turn off cross play because I have no interest in playing against PC players. Plus, the “sbmm” system that they have is probably the reason I really don’t play COD anymore.
I guarantee you most console players don’t have 120 fps capable TVs / monitors even if their console can do it
the fact that Xbox players dont get the option to turn it off in 6v6 modes, is utterly unacceptable.
Hackers don't play GW as they have nothing to gain as opposed to Warzone or CDL.
@@ijiikieru I cap my framerate at 90 because I'm trying to make this GPU last and I still out react them because they're slow and I'm not. MFs want to be good at the game but they won't put down the blunt.
PC should never have been allowed with console - regardless of input. The second they announced it I knew the franchise was screwed
If Call of Duty didn't have cross play Steam couldn't fill lobbies for COD. it's been a positive imo
Once Matchmaking was implemented over server browsers for PC, CoD for PC was effectively killed. Without crossplay, there is no CoD for PC.
Wish they would’ve kept it to cross play between Xbox and PlayStation
Console crossplay is good. Pc added to that has killed anything competitive cuz of hacks
Crossplay is great, but if there was no cross-input I'd be a lot happier. Keep the controller players and keyboard players separate, I guarentee there would be a lot less complaining from both sides
6:40 I totally agree!! I don't mind Xbox players. It's the PC sweats I can't stand
I support crossplay only if is console to console.
its simple cross play with Xbox and PS should be on by default, pc should be optional or not at all,
For console players it has been absolutely terrible
If you're referring to cheating as the primary reasoning, legitimate PC players like myself get lumped in with cheaters just because I play PC, I think input wise and I've tried both controller is much much easier to do well with how high they have the aim assist in cod these days, but I still prefer my more fluid movement on KBnM.
I’d say remove PC from cross play. Less cheating issues. Besides PC is too sweaty
As a PC player I'd rather just be able to play with other PC players. Regardless of your opinion on aim assist and if it makes controlled better or worse than KBM, it's frustrating to get killed because the enemy can track your chest through smoke or around corners, and you just simply can't to the same degree
It should be like the old days of call of duty where we can just blame lag instead, because without that its simply a skill issue
Just have a cross play option from, console only, all platforms, PlayStation/Xbox/pc only…it’s that simple
Forced cross play and disbanding lobbies are horrible for the cod community as a whole.
cross input play adds no different inconsitency then one player having an SMG, another having an AR, or another having a shotgun
