thank you for doing this review , i just barely learned a thermal carafe is the way to go, and i purchased and currently still use a CRUX 5 cup coffee maker cuz a music artist promoted it along with an air fryer and i liked their music so i went with it but i do notice that burnt taste of it being on the heating plate , so looking for a simple coffee maker that won’t cost me 300 bucks lol i don’t need a digital or timing one, i don’t like k pods either
I've owned three of these over the past 4 years. I usually make two pots of coffee per day. Consider yourself lucky if you get two years of use before it stops working. I'm not happy with its short service life. So why do I keep buying this same model? I like its it's compact size and stainless carafe. I also like the fact that it has and no digital readouts or timers. I don't want any additional digital clocks in the kitchen. Nor do I want a timer to turn the coffee maker on or off.
Overall, it is a pretty good coffee maker for the price, I've purchased several when on sale. There seems to be an issue with the design of the spout, there can be annoying spillage when pouring. If you make coffee daily but don't clean it with vinegar very often, the maker will last about 3 years. You can tell it's breaking down when it takes 15 minutes or longer to brew 4 cups.

How many ounces do they consider a cup? Thanks for the nice review.
One cup is 8 ounces. Most coffee maker manufacturers consider 6 ounces to be one cup. So most 12 cup coffee makers only make 9 cups.

yes it has a warming plate.
This model has auto shut-off 30 minutes after it begins brewing.
