@@Songlufia Why wing clipping is abuse. 1. Birds rely on their wings to keep themselves safe and can get some very bad physical injuries if they can’t fly. 2. Birds fly to keep themselves safe when they are scared, without wings they are vulnerable just like a baby chick. 3. Birds also get exercise from flying, without this they can get very sick or worse die. 4. Birds use their wings to fly about 50 times per hour. 5. Without their wings it causes more danger since birds don’t have their wings as a backup. 6. Flying is used to develop stomach muscles and without it they won’t be able to develop those muscles making them unfit. 7. When their feathers grow back they can’t instantly fly and will need to be rehabilitated. 8. Wing clipping can cause serious mental health problems causing your bird to feel scared, threatened, sad, depressed and confused, if the depression is severe enough they can die. 9. Frustrated by their inability to fly, clipped birds often develop psychological and behavioral problems, such as feather-plucking. Because clipping can cause irritation, birds will repeatedly pick at the feathers, which only causes more irritation and starts a vicious cycle. Let birds be birds. 10. It can take 6 - 18 months for their wings to grow back. 11. For most birds this could be a psychologically painful and traumatic experience. Furthermore, the stress can indirectly harm them physically by weakening their immune system. There is more but I don’t have time to write it all, lastly if the bird doesn’t suit you don’t buy it, birds have wings for a reason just like we have arms, don’t take away what makes them have a nice life for your connivence, the ONLY excuse to wing clipping is for MEDICAL reasons.
@@RubyRainbowsor you guys can stop buying them then the market will stop and they will be happy and free in their natural habitat like Gull, raven etc ...

If you don't want a pet that barks don't get a dog. If you don't want a pet that has claws don't get a cat. If you don't want a pet that Flys don't get a bird. Us as humans don't have the right to surgically mutilate animals just to make them how we want them for us to own them. If you don't appreciate how the animal is, get a plushie. We should all ban together to try and stop debarking, declawing and wing clipping.
:/ all kind of animals have claws. your statement doesn’t make sense bc first: 1. there are TYPES of dogs that barely bark (certain breeds) or naturally mute dogs due to disability 2. all types of animals similar to cats (canine, feline) for example all have claws :p they just don’t scratch as much, besides cats need to cut their claws anyways cuz they can’t get too long. 3. I agree with the last one but wing clipping is permissible IF its for medical reasons. I understand what you’re trying to say tho.
They cut their wings so they don’t escape from their Cage but I think humans shouldn’t do this imagine you were a bird and then they Cut your arms that will hurt ( just saying not meaning you’re bad )
@@Abbs_playsroblox ah yes, because using actual logic is a horrible thing in life. My bad, I'll cool it for you. Please don't ever cut their wings! It doesn't hurt them but it does prevent them from flying off into a much harsher world as smaller birds that don't live as long. African Greys, larger birds by a good margin than shown in this video live from 50-70 years and have many records of living to 80. But unfortunately in the wild they only live for an average of 23. I would hate for them to stay in a safe and loving environment. But let's say the bird is really smart and wouldn't ever leave! Isn't it just lovely when you have any other pets that see the fellow flying around and thinks "more food for me". Oh but then AGAIN! Maybe we don't have any pets or they are ALSO really trained. It's super great that after a bird gets an injury they keep flying and hurting themselves more, which is a common way for them to die because they become frantic. It's really weird how vets clip their wings when they have an injury to prevent further injury, but that's such animal abuse. Almost like putting a cast on them. Gross. I couldn't ever. These are all reasons why NOT to ever clip a bird's wings, even a little bit just to prevent them from hurting themselves. Of course they're meant to fly free and strain their entire life. I just know out there in the wild they're having a lot of fun getting sick, losing their babies, dying from depression due to lack of a partner or a flock members death, being killed by other animals, constantly in a harsh weather environment. My bad! This isn't a debate about if it's okay to keep them as pets, it's about if you should ever clip a bird's wings. Absolutely not. There's zero reason for this and it's only to have an "authentic pet". People are so horrible
I used to clip my birds wings but for a good reason. My bird wasn’t able to control herself when flying and would fly into windows, walls, and the ceiling resulting in her getting very hurt (broke her beak, started to bleed many times) because of this I started with clipping only a few feathers but that didn’t help at all, I ended up clipping all her wing feathers, taught her how to fly better and be cautious. Now she no longer needs clipped wings and can fly around the house freely without getting hurt. Edit: Can some people actually stop hating. Like bro, I never wanted to clip her wings but I HAD to or else she would have died. On top of all that she already came from a VERY abusive household (they kept 20+ cockatiels in 1 small cage) and I saved her (+2 other birds). If I ever thought of letting her outside I would basically be letting her die firstly because she's a cockatiel and these birds aren't native to where I live, secondly, she grew up in a cage and already had problems with flying as she was never taught to do so because of the lack of space in the cage, so letting her out would result in her being easy prey for predators. Lastly, for anyone saying that I shouldn't have had a bird in the house in the first place, I hate to break it to you but I will continue to adopt birds and care for them until the day I die as I love these animals and would love to care for them and give them loving homes for the rest of their life. Again, I never wanted to clip her wings, I HAD to clip them for medical reasons, and the type of wing clipping I had done was by vets who insisted on getting her wings clipped until she knew how to fly better. Her feathers grew back normally, she learned how to fly without getting hurt and can now fly around my house freely!
It bumps on window and wall because there is a window and wall blocking it's way. It's ok to have a pet but having a pet bird, I think birds have to fly freely
They have feelings, they have desires I know that animals can feel depression I’ve noticed that my cat was depressed once. Once someone connects with an animal they can feel each other. I only wish these people could connect with an animal only once to feel that they have emotions too
Sometimes, it's for medical reason -not in the case shown - but one of my friend birds had a broken wing, and they nip the feathers so it wouldn't worsen the heal period.
A pet bird should not be allowed out of its cage until you are 100% sure they have the ability to be recalled. Sometimes, cutting the flight feathers on one wing will allow it more freedom during the training process. Once trained, no, the feathers should not be clipped. The bird should be allowed to fly if it chooses.
Its a normal thing that bird owners do, those are their flight feathers and they grow back eventually, they do this to stop the bird from flying for awhile (its completely harmless to them and again they grow back)
@@reeeez2369This is a lot of misinformation. If you cut their wings wrong it can be super dangerous because they have blood feathers. Cutting also leads to so any other bad effects such as your bird becoming unable to develop strong lungs and heart, they get no proper exercise leading to even more health issues, and the feathers can take 6 to 18 months to even grow back with a chance of them not growing back at all. @@reeeez2369 Yes you said flight features but some people aren’t aware of the blood features at all and clip them anyways. Also your birds living long healthy lives isn’t the case for each bird that gets their wings clipped. Some even develop mental issues because the inability to fly.
There is an official reason as to why people do this, mostly Vets. When a bird Gets injured, them flying around runs a risk of them worsening the injury. Possibly even causing death. So they temporarily remove their ability to fly by clipping the ends of the wing feathers until the injury is fully healed. It happened with my step brothers love birds when one of the them were injured in a flying accident. They clipped the wings to prevent further injury.
@@alissonrodriguez1652 I clip my babies (or newly bought) just so they aren’t able to get lost and possibly hurt when getting used to the environment around them, other than that I don’t see a point with clipping them except the vet. theres only one specific part of the wing that needs to be clipped to limit their flight and all they can really do it glide.. nobody should cut/trim the entire end of each wing it makes the bird loose its beauty from its wings and doesnt allow it to be the animal it was meant to be. And to top it off, if ur gonna own a bird be sure to have the space available for the bird to be comfortable and fly around safely..

They’ll grow back! But better make sure your bird has room to fly. Ours flies around a house very easily, but early on would have some pretty hard landings. I had to wait for her to be done and stand where she could land on me. Lol
I wish I could let my little buddy fly like this. Poor guy has a neurological condition that affects balance. He would take off, only to crash right into the ground. 😢
I get it, my izzy when she was still alive was a rescue, her and her boyfriend both came to me with feather wasting disease, izzy also and a previous wing injury that hadn't healed and I'm assuming that and the feather wasteing issue were never even looked at by a vet. Anywho her boyfriend could fly fine so I never clipped him but izzy after several conversations with different avian vets was clipped at the advice of several of them so she wouldn't launch herself into the air only to plummet
Wing clipping is actually used if your bird is on medication or has other factors which affects its flying… clipping the wings is actually necessary in that situation so the bird wouldn’t hurt it self. (The feathers grow back for those who didn’t bother doing the research)
@@Ashley_Moif done by a professional it’s never the case….. it’s only animal abuse when it’s done incorrectly by uneducated parrot owners which is not “most of the time”…. Anyone who has owned a bird and at least did a bit of research before hand knows that this procedure is not permanent if you only cut the feathers which grow back after molting. If you know when your parrot molts you can even calculate how long it will not be able to fly.
@@Ashley_Mo and just do add I believe the owner of this channel didn’t bother doing the research either. Their videos on wing clipping basically all say “wing clipping = animal abuse” without any explanation or reason behind their video throwing everyone who used wing clipping in one pile of animal abusers… further sending misinformation that they were a victim of.
There is a big reason they do this. Its not animal abuse and they dont do it with bad intentions. Some birds fly recklessly and tend to hit a lot of things while flying. One bad hit and they would break their necks. Owners do it to pretect their birds from killing themselves by accident
I raise 2 birds and heard it's neccessary to prevent them from accident. But, if I were birds, I'd rather die by accident, than can't fly forever. I cut wings little bit, so it's little slow, but they can sitll fly very fast if they have goal(usually chasing my husbund). But, either way, I'm pretty sure they are happy. because cutting wings means birds are not stay in the cage 24 hours. They are happy birds.
@@lkate206 so you rather let your pet die a completely preventable death than to do the responsible thing? Btw cutting their wings doesn’t equate to them being stuck in a cage you can still let them out and depending on the cut they can still fly a little bit but not enough to be a danger to themselves
On top of that, if someone does clip a bird’s wings for whatever reason, you’re only meant to clip a few of the flight feathers, not the whole wing. My bird had her wings clipped before I got her (not my choice of course) but the person who did it only clipped a few so she could still flutter. Now her wings have grown back and she can fly again, and she’s so much happier.
Our parakeet didn't get his wings trimmed, he flew out of the front door. Probably starved or eaten. Birds don't know how to deal with life on their own.
@@thomasrechenmacher8093Then don't have your bird have access to the front door. They don't have to have access to the whole house, with how small a parakeet is, I'm sure it'd be happy flying around one large room. If you can't keep an eye on it well enough, then a bird's probably not the pet for you. That's not an excuse to cripple your pet.
I got my bird with already clipped wings, when the finally grew back, he was a terrible flyer and couldn’t breathe well even after one flight, but now he’s getting so much better and can keep up his breathing ❤🎉
When my bird first came to me, its wings were taped, and at first, I was worried that they had been clipped. I felt a sense of responsibility to care for the bird and ensure its well-being. Seeing the bird struggle with its taped wings was a difficult experience, as I knew that flying is an essential behavior for birds. I was relieved when the bird managed to remove the tape and regain its ability to fly. This experience made me realize the importance of allowing birds the freedom to fulfill their natural behaviors, such as flying. I have since made it a priority to create an environment where my bird can exercise its wings and fly freely. I believe that providing birds with the opportunity to fly not only contributes to their physical health but also nurtures their mental well-being. It's a reminder that birds, like all living creatures, deserve to live a life that is as close to their natural state as possible. I have also taken the time to educate myself about proper bird care and behavior, ensuring that I am providing the best possible environment for my feathered friend. I am committed to promoting the well-being and happiness of my bird, and I hope to inspire others to consider the needs of their avian companions as well.
Hey. To anyone reading this, please only respond respectfully as I am still learning about birds and am trying to figure out what’s best for my parakeet as I only want it to be happy. A parakeet flew to me a few months ago and I bought a cage for it and stuff and was considering clipping its wings, only so it won’t fly into anything dangerous in my house. My biggest fear is that it would encounter some type of hazard. I have considered just letting her fly free and leave her cage outside for food and water in hopes that she will fly back whenever she gets hungry, thirsty or wants shelter. Honestly I don’t know what to do nor how to tell if she’s truly happy. I try not to have her in the cage all the time and let her out occasionally to fly around. She is not a trained bird so it’s not like I can just call her name and put her back into her cage when it’s time for me to leave the home. I’m not comfortable letting her fly in the house unsupervised because like I said; there may be hazards

@@xgolfgirliexif they escape the house then an eagle or hawk could easily kill your bird in a second, that's why people trim their wings around here so they don't fly off and get eaten.
Sometimes the wings don’t regrow besides even when they do some birds develop extreme fear of falling like they did when they were clipped so they just give up flying completely and that’s unhealthy for birds. Also it has nothing to do with making it easier to tame , if anything it makes it harder to tame the bird because the bird is unable to fly so it loses a sense of security making it more skittish, scared and uncooperative

Here's my take on it, I've owned many over the years. I've always clipped the wings in the beginning to create that bond. I've noticed they wanted nothing to do with me when their wings were fully developed. When they were clipped there was a bond, as they grew out the bond remained and I never cut them again. They have a open cage so fly can around freely and return as they please.
They usually clip their wings because usually they scare themselves with sudden noises and sudden gestures and if you have it on the street it can run away and become disoriented and die with a cat or run over or simply starve if no one picks it up, it is ideal when you do not go out with it or when you do not have a chain as a leash as we use on dogs. If you don't risk losing your parrot. I have cut his wings when my house was not safe for him when I turn my house safe I stop cutting his wings and also go out with him (I never got outside without the current)
I would like to say, the people in the video are clipping the wings wrong. When doing it right, you only clip one or two of the flight feathers. It doesn't hurt them, and it feels like a haircut. Many people have to clip their birds wings for different reasons. Some houses aren't safe for a bird to be free flight, and they would rather clip the wings and play with the bird than leave it alone in it's cage all day. Many people are strongly against clipping wings, they compare it to declawing a cat, but that hurts the cat and does irreversible damage. After clipping a bird wing, it grows back to normal in 3 months to a year. My bird in particular loves to go places. The park, the mall, you name it. She can't do that if she could get spooked and fly away. I've tried harness training her, it's just not something she likes. I've tried letting her wings grow out and she just stays at home, but she gets really depressed and upset when she cannot go places. This is a very unique situation, but in the end, after consulting veterinary professionals, it actually was her wings or her freedom. I implore you, do more research from places that don't immediately say it is right or wrong. Clipping a birds wings is a case to case scenario, and it depends on lots of factors like your environment. If it is not bird friendly, don't let them fly around to places they could get hurt or chew on something that could harm them. It's a matter of safety, and what's best for your situation. If you can have your birds free flight, absolutely do it! It's amazing! But it's not black and white, think about what's best for your bird. Remember, this doesn't hurt them, and if it doesn't work out then don't worry! It will grow back, and you can continue to explore other options. Clipping a birds wings in many cases isn't wrong, it's ensuring the birds safety and the opportunity to live a long and healthy life.

@jade962 no it doesn't 😂 That's like saying giving someone crutches makes them more stable when they walk. WRONG WRONG WRONG. -Clipping their wings limits their ability to land properly often resulting in keel bone injuries from slamming hard onto surfaces such as the floor. - Clipping their wings leads to muscle atrophy in the wings because of the lack of daily use and thus muscle wastage that if a bird has been long term clipped can actually lead to permanent inability to fly. Think of someone in a wheel chair who hasn't used their legs for months or even years they need to be slowly taught to walk again IF they are even able to regain that ability. (I.e car accidents degenerative diseases etc) - Clipping the wings is lazy and careless why get something that can fly is born to fly only to stop its ability to do so under the guise of safety? - Most clips like this one are done wrong. Leading to permanent damage or injuries. IF YOU NEED TO CLIP STICK WITH FISH. That's all you deserve. Leave the birds to the one's who respect and love them.

@docbainl9504 Well, you're wrong on alot of parts. One, clipping their wings (not like the video cause that's the wrong way to clip wings) does not mean they can't fly. You're acting like that birds will never fly again. It just means they're not able to fly to extremely high places, like at the top of your ceiling fan. Doesn't mean they can't still fly. Two, why would birds just stop using their wings just because they're shorter? They're still going to fly just not as high. Again, you're acting like people are ripping the wings right off their bodies when it's litteraly just snipping the ends of their feathers. There is nothing wrong with clipping birds' wings so that they are at least safer. They still have the ability to fly while also staying safe ❤
I remember when I had a budgie when we were younger, we never used to clip his wings, we took him to the vet one day because he had a broken leg. She split his leg and then asked us if she would like us to trim his wings we looked at her and said no immediately the vet looked at us as if we had sprouted horns and asked us why we were refusing so quickly to have them trimmed when it would be easier to control our bird, we told her that our bird was trained for a recall, and that we had no reason to trim his wings when he was designed to fly it’s just like a dog just because you don’t want your dog to run away you don’t chop their legs off you train them for recall the same as a bird birds are incredibly smart and can learn recall.❤❤❤❤❤

My bird crashes into mirrors, glass, and the walls when I let her out, maybe trimming her wings to keep her safe from getting a concussion isn't such a bad idea 😢
If your issue is glass or mirrors it’s not something to be too hung up on. If your willing and your parrot is willing try to train them that those things are there and act as walls. Let your parrot see that u can touch it, put something like a peace of paper over it so it sees the glass, hold them up to the glass and let them touch and feel it. Do this for some time and reward them for interacting with the glass (same with the mirror just not as much treats becaue they can’t tell it’s them and not another bird and you may have to deal with hormones if your not carful) but work with them and see if they start avoiding those areas, or put a window perch up for them to land on just in case. Take it by your parrots confurt level and speed and they should be safe to fly around again in no time! Never forget if there’s a solvable issue there are better RUclipsrs out there with actual good advise (flock talk is a great one!) and training videos that go really in-depth with each process. If there is a problem there is always a better solution! Parrots are super smart, so be creative and patient you’ll get them to do most of what you can come up with, and your parrot will love u more for it too! No shame in asking for vet advise either. Also In my experience (witch is close to 20 years at this point) from what I’ve seen on this channel is ok-ish advise at best. Yes there’s a lot of good but then he ends it with something I would never recommend anyone doing with there parrot. So if anything always be aware of the fact that u can never trust only one source! Always fact check! If u need more help I’ll be happy to show u some more resources to get you unstuck! Good luck and have fun!❤❤
No, maybe you should allow your bird to naturally get used to her enviornment. You can also cover mirrors. She will naturally learn what not to bump into if you give her time. Dont expect a toddler to learn how to walk on their first try. You monster.

I know that a clipping wings is not pretty to see but that isn't necessarily bad, some times is necessary. The wings cutting/clipping is for some purposes: adjust the fly to a veri specific environment (like a house interior full of things when it would crash); evite that the bird scape, because in liberty a domestic bird is a easy food, or the bird would become a invasor species. In the case of the video, it is a very, very wrong way to cut, obviously made by someone who don't know how and for what it have to make it, just like everyone in the comments, every time, the cut have be doing by a professional with experience.
Clipping a bird's wing feathers is a common practice and can be done safely. It prevents them from flying away and getting lost. However, it's important to do it correctly and with care to avoid causing harm to the bird.
Wing clipping is the process of trimming a bird's primary wing feathers or remiges so that it is not fully flight-capable, until it moults, sheds the cut feathers and grows new ones. This procedure is usually carried out by avian veterinarians, breeders, or the bird's owners, and primarily on pet birds like parrots.

Yea, but domesticated birds cannot be released. Even pigeons who are able to survive as strays, are domastic animals. In cities they live 3-4 years, inside a house they live even 15 years. Buying them is absolutely wrong. They're not objects for us to buy as we like. Rescuing them is good of course. Many need a home. It's important to look at the ethology of evey bird one talks about. For example pigeons dont give a f about flying in the sky. Their priorities are home, company and food. "Messenger pigeons" and racing pigeons only fly like that because they are brought away from home and they desperately want to get back there. Just to make an example.
Well not exactly like removing your legs. I mean in the sense that clippin the wings doesn't hurt and amputating a leg does hurt. However flying is their main transportation as well as their main exercise so I'd rather see it as removing all bikes/cars/trains/planes and removing all sports clubs, gyms etc.

If you don't want your pet to fly, DONT GET A BIRD
THIS EXACTLY
@@ChristmasDarkening they need to cut the wings for a reason

2. all types of animals similar to cats (canine, feline) for example all have claws :p they just don’t scratch as much, besides cats need to cut their claws anyways cuz they can’t get too long.
3. I agree with the last one but wing clipping is permissible IF its for medical reasons.

The part of having a bird flying around the house is what happens when the bird poops? 🤦🏻♂️🙄

How many days does it take for a bird to regain his wings?
@@kajutokirrito358 it actually took a few months so about 60 days
NOO THIS IS MAKING ME CRY
Ohhh man, I completely agree with you! You said everything simply based on the facts. I can't express in words how much I agree with you. I want your text to be seen by as many people as possible!!!!❤

Reason why :They do this to make it easier to tame the bird,Overtime they regrow and turn into beautiful wings that spread as far as the eye can see
Sometimes the wings don’t regrow besides even when they do some birds develop extreme fear of falling like they did when they were clipped so they just give up flying completely and that’s unhealthy for birds.

Clipping a birds wings in many cases isn't wrong, it's ensuring the birds safety and the opportunity to live a long and healthy life.
dont get a bird if your house isnt safe for him
@@oppominni5579 bro its not about he getting a bird. bird is going to born and be in the petshop whether he buys it or not. trimming their wing doesnt mean they cant fly, it means they will have more stabilty when they are flying.
@jade962 no it doesn't 😂
That's like saying giving someone crutches makes them more stable when they walk.
(I.e car accidents degenerative diseases etc)
- Clipping the wings is lazy and careless why get something that can fly is born to fly only to stop its ability to do so under the guise of safety?
- Most clips like this one are done wrong. Leading to permanent damage or injuries.
IF YOU NEED TO CLIP STICK WITH FISH.
That's all you deserve. Leave the birds to the one's who respect and love them.

Well said, I totally agree with you. I have four birds and it pleases me that they have full flight in my house. I could never clip a birds wings, it’s just so wrong.
I have budgies and I really want to teach them recall? any tips for that and in general? 🥺
why clip a bird already trained lol. literally like having a feathered dragon companion, you feel like a badass when it flies to your shoulder!
Its for health reasons. Usually when birds have broken bones vets trim their wings so they don't further injure themselves
why would you tell us that😐
I love you and your family, thank you for sharing. This video made me so sad, when I was little we had 2 birds, they always would fly around the house and mess with our cats. Ppl should not clip anything from their pets, not wings, tails ears or nails, it's wrong. You are absolutely correct, you just teach them just like anything else alive you take care of. Children and pets alike. This video is so sad and your comment is so valuable ❤️
My bird crashes into mirrors, glass, and the walls when I let her out, maybe trimming her wings to keep her safe from getting a concussion isn't such a bad idea 😢
It’s not I’ve had to do it. Sometimes you gotta keep them safe from theirselves
I hope you didn't clipped them...

So true. Got my two lovebirds from a previous owner who was abusive. Clipped their wings and grandkids would throw them out the window from the third floor knowing they couldn't fly. Apparently they clipped even their main part of the wings so one of my bird can't grow back it's wings. But we trained them to just go back into their cage and it's so much more effective than having their wings clipped. Builds trust while also not making them insecure.
@@luisairemgonzalez1905 thats a myth made up by ppl that cut their feathers

Their wings are just like our hands, we need it for doing many things😢 You don’t need to love them, but don’t hurt them! Protect animals! Every living things are worthy for respect and love.❤️
Nah it's more like cutting our hair, it grows back really fast and if you don't cut them every once in a while it can be pretty bad (my bird kept hitting A LOT of walls and ceiling, so the VET told me clip the feathers and train her to fly properly)
Also they feel a total of 0 pain when you do that, they have to shed their feathers, imagine if it DID hurt them!
@@AllanGuiHaya70 yes, this may happen, but most people cut their wings just because don’t want them to fly. I know some people cut their wings are just don’t want the birds get hurt. I can understand this. Some birds will feel unhappy and have low self-esteem and even more likely to suffer from mental illness and bite feathers to harm themselves.
I just don’t want this happen. I also worried about this.
Him: hey bird, we are just friends!
Bird: Once.
Some times parots need human because there beak grows way to long and will stick in the bird so human cut the beak
@Suphomieeee that's what I meant
But then it goes round and round and then it can go inside of the parrot jaw
How cute 😊
I can really see sadness and tears in first bird eyes 😢…
just look at it 😢💔
I wish I could give it a tissue.
they look so silly when they’re flying bc sometimes they sort of wiggle as they flap their wings, why would you ever rob yourself of watching them have their little air jiggles
Is that just a budgie thing? Had a cockatiel for years and I can’t recall ever noticing her wiggle as she was flying/landing
@@iZehta I think it’s just an occasional thing some birds do when they take off because they’re a bit clumsier. If you watch here, not every budgie wiggles as much as the next-I’m pretty sure it’s just a silly quirk some birds do.
Its because they arent trained so they do that
Yes buts it's cute ever had a little bird fly onto your finger or shoulder 😊
This actually made me cry tbh
Some owners will do that so that the bird doesn’t fly away from its home and the owner would be able to catch the bird if it trys to run away when it’s outside (unless you could train a bird to come back)
Yeah, that's the point it's really for a good reason and it doesn't stop them from flying at all
@@captainblackbeard1934are you sick?
@@tyles1848 there is literally nothing you can do, when u get a bird that is not newborn, they will fly away bc they dont know how to come back they will literally die outside if u dont clip their wings(which doenst hurt then)
Well if it flies away dont that mean it just dont like u😮
Once the bird sees you as part of its flock, it will come back to you. I understand clipping them for good reasons like injury or safety, but clipping them their whole life is abuse
The place I purchased my budgies from clips their wings and it took about 6 months before my first 1 could fly and now that he can fly he is so much happier. He also like to play a game of chase with me. He will fly around my head and even fly by and touch me to get me to chase him. He loves to fly and play now. I cant wait for my other budgies wings to grow back in so they can fly. They are much much happier when they can fly and more interactive with you as well. Your budgies will love you for letting them fly around
Until you loose him, when you accidentally leave the door open,
If you let the bird out, be sure ceiling fans are off.
hell no make sure they are all on that would be hilarious.
@@cubbybear8983its hilarious to you for a bird to get injured?
@@jimenacastillo312 possibly
@@cubbybear8983not funny just creepy
I hate people who do this cruelty to innocent birds !
Guys , take care of your pets .
Birds are beautiful the just the way they are who all agree 💯💯
Imagine getting your legs broken behind your back, being put in a metal cage and having your alien overlords wondering why you seem sad
"IF the bird can't fly, their freedom is gone"
this is my new fave quote
Omg that literally brought tears to my eyes. 😢 seeing that beautiful Birds Eye’s watching as they clipped its wings 😞
I hate it when people clip wings like that, but if you clip them in a certain way by cutting off very few feathers(not cutting them all the way) it keeps them from flying into fans which kill birds a lot. I clip my birds wings in the way where she can still fly around a lot. she loves to fly and i would never clip her wings that much.
Yeah. This is what I do. Ceiling fans are dangerous. Gotta keep the chirpy babies safe.
@@NotSoNormal1987
Then don’t keep birds.
@@Stringbean421 Everybody has a fan. It's annoying if you can't own a pet for owning something everybody has plus there are solutions like keeping the bird in a room without a fan or having the fan off when the bird is out.
@@Stringbean421no?
I just have a ground fan for this specific reason. My birds sometimes go on top of my ceiling fan, so I have to be very careful to not accidentally turn it on.
REAL
Budgies are my fav animal and they are just beautiful creature and forever will be! ❤❤❤❤
You all don't understand we cut their wings on the part that doesn't hurt it regrows automatically we do this to prevent them from having injuries the wings regrow and when they get mature we let them fly
Yeah people be just overreacting and shit
full of morons flooding with comment and blaim others even if they know nothing about it at all. XD
typical web shit itself.
actually, who don't trim their bird's wing at all IS the who abuse their bird. it's just
This helps birds to fly more easily in the house and in narrow spaces
no it doesn't, this is wing clipping. it makes them unable to fly.
This is animal abuse!!
@@hannahhsu5449ah another uneducated idiot!!!! If done right this dose not hurt the bird nor permanently prevents them from flying but it is a necessary tool in training some birds for practical applications or just to be free range but still come back
Hell i could argue keeping a bird in a house and not training it be free range is animal abuse
I need help
when I was buying my female budgie from local bird shop
her feathers were cut.😢
I thought her feathers will grow just like our hair. But now it getting worse.
She is balding ( feathers lose from head) and her body feathers are messed 😢😢 . I don't know what to do .
My birds have always been free to fly-they have never had their wings clipped. It makes them harder to train but its worth it to see them fly😊

That’s just straight up cruelty
This person posted an extreme clipping. Most people only trim about half that much.
