It actually makes a lot of sense that Day sees it that way. With his personality and the way he perceives himself and his pride I get why he became so angry. Angry at Night, angry at his loss of sight and angry at the world. It's easy for us to see Day was wrong bc he was the one driving but we aren't in his position. We are looking from the outside in. He himself knows it wasn't Nights fault that he crashed. He had the chance to pull over or clean his car of puke but his lapse in judgement led to his cornea getting damaged. He didn't want to accept that so he turned the blame to Night bc it was easier for him to be angry at him and lash out than it was for Day to accept his role in the accident. He thinks Night is trying to fake being a good son but he's only trying to make amends for the accident bc he knows Day blames him. I understand the strife between them and how it came to be this way. I hope they're able to reconcile, I really do.

Day is actually directing his anger towards Night to distract himself in a way. Day had the role of sensible and caring child in his family. He was also someone with goals, ambition, and hope in life. He was leading a life where he was working towards those goals. Suddenly, he goes blind and he cannot reach the dreams he wanted to fulfill, no matter how he tried. He is left with no goals for himself. And to put salt on his wound the role he played in his family was suddenly taken away by his brother. While everyone was moving on with their lives, his life collapsed. He can feel the pity and impatience people have towards him. He can feel himself becoming worthless. When you can't do even things that were once easy for you, you feel helplessness and fear. Yes! The way I understood it from Day's perspective is that he thinks Night is putting on a show of being the "good son" for the mom. Basically sucking up to her so he can take what used to be Day's. That's not true, but it's not a black and white situation. Everyone suffered a loss and they're all coping differently. The mom is being overprotective, the brother is trying so hard to be perfect, and Day is angry at the world.
I love how realistic the struggles of the characters are. Deep down, Day knows that it's not Night's fault, but he's in pain, he's desperate and irrational because that's what pain can do to someone. When that irrational thinking starts, the person suffering ,sometimes, starts to think that everyone is out to get them. Day is being irrational, but it's understandable. @@aparna5375will it make me sad? As long as neither of them die at the end I'm good. I have a policy against sad endings. (I work in healthcare, I don't need any more sad endings.)
Finally got Day and Night's story. I understand the anger Day has towards his brother, but I can also see the regret Night feels. Day acting like that must make Night feel even worst 😢😢😢
Tbh we don’t know the dynamics between Night and Day before the accident it looks like Day is the well established hard working in his career younger more responsible son who is often cleaning up Nights mess and helping him out as he goes and enjoys his life with no care or responsibilities. There seems to be some tension before because Night is trying to brag about Day being famous while he’s that drunk and complaining that Day is lecturing him like Mom& Day complained about who the older brother really is. So maybe that’s why it seems so fake to Day that all of a sudden Night is being the responsible one& taking care of everything to look good in their moms eyes now out of guilt. Now Day has to rely on Night who was never reliable before it all just feels fake and like his role in the family as the star responsible son is getting stolen and now he’s just the nuisance. Day was the one driving he should’ve known better & pulled over or let it happen but Night was also asking for a bag and rushing him when he could’ve just asked for him to stop or thrown up outside the window. You can’t say it wasn’t Nights fault at all he was definitely distracting Day.
What a shocking revelation! Honestly I thought there was some other issue between Night and Day, but I didn't think this would be the reason. But to be fair, it's not Night's fault. He was drunk and Day was sober. If only Day stopped the car somewhere, he could have avoided the accident, and in fact Night warned at 6:06 even in that drunken state. Imo, Day has become so miserable with his situation that he's trying to find an anchor to pin down all the blame, and unfortunately, since Night was at the scene, Day feels that Night was responsible. However, Day is wrong because Night is not trying to be a good son/brother, I am sure that he feels guilty and responsible for Day's situation and he is trying to make amends for it, which Day perceives as bad intentions. Though I cried when Day broke down into tears narrating the accident to Mohk.
@@ashasharma3228 absolutely! my holidays are coming real quick (when this series already ended), i'll definitely rewatch every episode year after year. this series will always live in my mind forever ❤
I sympathize with both Day and Night, because Day has been hating on his brother because he feels he's the course of his blindness and he feels like Night is living the life he should be living he's just frustrated because he lost something while Night lost nothing, even though we haven't seen Night's pov I'm sure he blames himself too because if he didn't go out drinking his brother wouldn't have gone to pick him and he would still have his sight he just doesn't know how to show his guilty.
I really love that so many people commented that the accident was Day's fault. If you choose to get behind the wheel, you are responsible for yourself and everyone in the vehicle.
day blaming night had me thinking night was the one driving drunk with him in the passenger seat or something like that, it's 100% day's fault for taking his eyes off the street, go to the side of the street, park, turn on your hazard lights, and then look for a bag, or let night throw up out the window, you can always clean your car and maintain your eyesight intact my dude. day's so unreasonable and avoiding blame.
really cant blame Day as well because he was getting distracted while driving, Night still contributed to that because the driver wasn’t able to focus on the road. ++seems like Day never blamed him, he’s mad because Night who looks like the bad sheep of the fam before had taken his role of being the reliable one in the family
A lovely reminder to us all that this episode is JimmySea's favorite episode! They say that EP 9 is more than EP 6. Like they have enthroned: EP 6 is the first runner-up, and the real Miss Universe is EP 9~ 🫶✨
now that we know their backstory, it feels like Day really have the rights to be mad at Night at all times. but somehow, i feel bad for Night too because i think he really regrets and blame himself for what happened to Day that's why he's doing his best to get his trust again and to help him with everything he can.
I mean, I think it's understandable that Night is the one person Day would direct his anger to, especially since Day was the only one who got hurt. But I don't think he really has the right to blame Night, it was an accident that happened because both of them were distracted, there's no one to blame in that situation. I just hope they can come to an understanding and mend their relationship again 🥺
@@marigold758 it was an accident that none of them want it to happen, it was really a big misunderstanding. the last thing and way they can do is to at least talk, talk about their feelings towards to each other or about everything they need to talk because it was hard for Day too for overthinking Night's actions and it was hard for Night for being misunderstood at all times. both of them are suffering, hope they really can mend their relationship :)))))
@@damn_imissexo Alrightttt but it was definitely more of Day's fault than anything... he could've pulled over, let the window down, or even just let him throw up. It's wasn't Night's fault when he wasn't the one fully conscious. It's just silly. Day lost his own Visio because he was irresponsible as a driver. Throwing up is natural, you literally can not stop it.
He has the right to feel that way and put the blame solely on Night, but that doesn't mean his decision is correct. His feeling is valid but not how he acted on it. Those are two different things.
I think that man leaving the family for another woman is an even more used topic than dead parents or it's woman leaving the fam. It's really sad that someone is able to leave the family just like that and not give them money for their needs when they need him...
Finally, we know what exactly happened between Day and Night. While I understand Day, Night is really not at fault and Day knows that. It's just that Might's behaviour now in comparison to before is different, and that makes him angry. I think it's also part of his stubbornness that they never had a talk about the accident. Maybe this will happen now or in the next episode. I'm sure that they can find back to each other.
Finally we know the backstory. and tbfh day’s reasoning for being mad at Night is kind of understandable but still unreasonable. I can understand where he's coming from and his reasons for blaming and directing his anger towards night. I feel seriously bad for night too, he has been living with guilt of the accident plus at the same time a constant reminder....
I think day was so angry and scared about the fact that he was going blind slowly that he needed an outlet for that anger and Night was conveniently that. It’s neither of there’s fault.
I'm So Sorry For Day BUT It's Absolutely Not Night's Fault... It's Just Day's Mind Set That He Is Blaming Night... Hope Both Brothers Clear Up All Things Soon💜
Every Friday, I look forward to watching Jimmy and Sea. The story keeps getting better and better in each episode, and there is never a dull moment to be found. Given that Sea plays a man who is nearly blind, I can tell that they both put a lot of effort into every scene. Jimmy's unwavering support for him is the reason this series is so successful. Please give both of them more projects to showcase what they've got! They deserve so much more. Love from the Philippines! 🇵🇭
Now we finally understand the animosity Day has towards Night. Night definitely wasn't completely at fault for that accident, Day shouldn't have taken his eyes off the road after all, but Day having resentment over having his life turned upside down makes sense. All he knows is that before he used to be the golden-boy, with his Mother's affection and now it seems like to him Night is gaining benefits from him losing his sight. I'm wondering if they'll make up in the future.

I think many of you don't understand the complexity of losing something physically (abruptly or not). Although Day is "objectively guilty of the accident," an instance as difficult as losing his sight is what causes him to have various emotions, especially anger and sadness. From this anger and sorrow one wonders "Why did this happen to me? Why to me?" And I speak from my personal experience having suffered from cancer and then having to use canes due to hip problems. What I mean is that it is common to look for a culprit, a reason, a why and in Day's case, he manages to find his answer in Night. We have seen throughout the chapters that Day is still in the acceptance stage and that little by little he is getting used to the changes in his life. I know that when he manages to calm that anger and has accepted his new lifestyle, he will be able to observe the accident and Night's actions from another perspective. I really hope that soon the two of them can talk and mend their relationship :(
This is the best drama I ever see till now ❤...what a heart touching story ❤❤...and their acting just outstanding ❤❤❤❤❤❤.... their acting makes audience to feel the pain of their characters 🥺♥️♥️
Not Day projecting his anger on to Night 😭 This could have been avoided by Day pulling off to the side of the road. He should’ve taken his eyes off the road for anything. He also could have let Night throw up then made him clean it up to teach him a lesson. This is so sad but when Day realizes that his accident wasn’t his brothers fault they will reconcile
Why you have me tearing up. Day blames himself. Perhaps Night was the older mischievous one and Day was the younger serious focused one. After the accident, Night straightened up like he probably would have done anyway but Day sees it as him being the one to shine now. Day probably feels guilty that Night blames himself. Plus no longer being able to excel at sports he feels anger at the situation. He feels helpless and vulnerable and that’s such a scary place to be so he pushes people away because he’s scared. Gosh!
From the beginning it was noted that Day was a very spoiled and immature boy, now with the story behind his blindness you can see that he is still an immature person, he was the only one responsible for the accident occurring, but it was easier for him blame Night
Everyone saying days driving caused the accident and not night is true. Even day said he knows its an accident. But his Night told people Day was out of the country and acts like hes the perfect child infront of their mom. Thats what makes Day angry as he said in this episode
I remember someone commenting on the video of gmmtv Olympic where mark accidentally hit sea in head and them saying 'and that's how day went blind'....
I have been gone for what is like two weeks and this series is fire honestly. Firstly, P"Mhok is a rare item in this world. His patients and understanding goes beyond words. Day is very adorable and I totally get his pain. Although I don't really get the beef between day and night, I think this is the best series I have ever seen so far.
Dealing with losing vision which most of us take for granted is very difficult. Learning to navigate daily life without seeing anything, also dealing with the emotional trauma that comes with it. Day used to be independent, confident person but now having to deal with pity from family, friends, feeling helpless, lost, dependent on other people for even small things, losing self-confidence, his family not knowing how to deal with him etc. Day is having to re-build himself which takes time, I actually think this series is taking a light hearted tone compared to extreme emotions that can be involved in these types of situations. People do all sort of things while driving and most of times nothing happens or they get injured but are healed. In this case Day lost his vision and he doesn’t know when or if he will get cornea transplant while Night is fine. Day knows it was an accident but there maybe other emotions involved like Night may have done this often enough but now he is trying to be “good son” because he feels guilty. Is Night treating Day nicely because he wants to help or just because he feels guilty. Day has been in this situation for a year and Night could have learn how to help him properly like Mhok did. But we see him also frustrated with Day which is understandable caregiving is hard. Night needs to figure out how to deal with his own guilt and Day especially since he also feels like a victim like we saw in previous episode where he calls himself “villain” and Day “hero”. Day is not exactly going out to his way to lash out at him; it only happens when Night tries to help. Maybe Night needs to understand Day is not ready yet. Night also needs to forgive himself, he is brother of course he feels guilty. I also don’t think Day has to go out of his way to understand Night right now since he is still trying to process vision loss which may be indefinite (he doesn’t know when or if he will get cornea transplant). He probably realizes his fault in this situation to but not ready to accept it yet. Situations are always complex when emotions are involved. It’s not as easy as saying it’s Day’s fault or it’s Night’s fault. What if's are always hard to deal with like what if Day never had to pick him up, they wouldn’t have been in an accident. Anyways this is my personal perspective, and I respect the fact that other may disagree.

Totally agree! You write it beautifully and neatly.
Finally someone that understands the complexity of the Day-blaming-Night situation!
So basically, day's madness is not about the accident, but the situation after it. And they really need a deep talk to clear things out.
Mhok's facial expression when Day was talking about what caused his blindness and his dad cheating on his mum is wholesome ❤❤❤

For almost 2 years Not Me was my favorite bl serie and even after watching hundreds of bls none of them beat it but Oh my God Last twilight stole my heart since the first episode and now it's my favorite and it will be for a long time the best bl of all the time 🥺🥺🥺 thank you Jimmy and Sea for giving us such a masterpiece ❤❤❤
Have you tried watching 'A Tale of 1000 stars' ? If you haven't then I'll surely recommend it to you, it's really good. There are Earth Mix.
@aparna5375 of course, I already watched it . I loved Earth Mix in Moonlight chicken more than in A Tale Of 1000 Stars
You can’t say it wasn’t Nights fault at all he was definitely distracting Day.
i agree with everything 👍
I swear I'll rewatch this series two times a year 😭😭
Rewatching each episode every night while waiting for the next.

The fact that Jimmy is a doctor in real life is just amazing ❤😊.

I really love that so many people commented that the accident was Day's fault. If you choose to get behind the wheel, you are responsible for yourself and everyone in the vehicle.
Finally!!! I'm loving this series and I'm loving JimmySea's talent!!! This series is a masterpiece
I love the way mhok just agreed, and don't ask why, when day said he wanted him(mhok) to take him to his father!!❤
Night is not 100% responsible about the accident Day can just stop somewhere and park the car so that Night can Puke. 😭
day blaming night had me thinking night was the one driving drunk with him in the passenger seat or something like that, it's 100% day's fault for taking his eyes off the street, go to the side of the street, park, turn on your hazard lights, and then look for a bag, or let night throw up out the window, you can always clean your car and maintain your eyesight intact my dude. day's so unreasonable and avoiding blame.
For real!!!
really cant blame Day as well because he was getting distracted while driving, Night still contributed to that because the driver wasn’t able to focus on the road.
Love the pageant reference.
It was not Night's fault . Day misunderstood him. Now I understand why night is feeling guilty for Day's condition. ❤❤❤
It seems like he is not upset about the accident he is just thinks night stealing everything that belongs to him that's why he is upset
Gosh, the amount of family secrets revealed in only the first quarter of the episode 😮
Can we appreciate Day & Night's mom for a minute? can't imagine she has done so much work to give her kids their best lives...❤
now that we know their backstory, it feels like Day really have the rights to be mad at Night at all times. but somehow, i feel bad for Night too because i think he really regrets and blame himself for what happened to Day that's why he's doing his best to get his trust again and to help him with everything he can.
It sad right they family but all they are is blame and guilt
I just love day acting, so brave and natural ❤
Finally we know the backstory. and tbfh day’s reasoning for being mad at Night is kind of understandable but still unreasonable. I can understand where he's coming from and his reasons for blaming and directing his anger towards night.
I feel seriously bad for night too, he has been living with guilt of the accident plus at the same time a constant reminder....

I love Mhok eye. It tells how he feel and care for day
Now we finally understand the animosity Day has towards Night.

I really hope that soon the two of them can talk and mend their relationship :(
this comment was perfectly captures what days feeling and was written so out so thought out. I agree w it so much 👏

Yesssss finally friday is here, so excited and can't wait to see how loved dovely MhokDay relationships in this epi 9~🤧😭😍🤩🥰👈🌅🔥💜💙
Gosh!
But bruh the audacity of Day's father to cheat 💀 have you seen how beautiful Day's mother is?!

😂😂
I have been gone for what is like two weeks and this series is fire honestly. Firstly, P"Mhok is a rare item in this world. His patients and understanding goes beyond words. Day is very adorable and I totally get his pain. Although I don't really get the beef between day and night, I think this is the best series I have ever seen so far.
I actually thought that night was the one drunk driving and caused an accident for the hate to be very justifiable
For real!! It's days irresponsible driving that caused his blindness
@@nondumisomthembu3854 unfortunately yes, day prioritized the cleanliness of his car and lost his eyesight
