    I believe the first fan closest to the electrical panel is off of head pressure unless that one is different but we have the same exact unit at one of our buildings and that’s the one off the Johnson controller, just curious

      Yes correct, the first fan uses a P66

    What was the voltage coming out of the step down transformer?

    Those motors awlays over amo at low speeds

    You can awlays tell when those motors are going bad if you look at the top of the blade. If the motor looks like it’s leaning the motor has been overheating.

    When checking fuses with continuity you should pull the fuses first. After not finding an open leg in the motor you should check for ground before trying to run the fan. safety first!

      Everything was checked to ground. What is your reasoning for pulling fuses. It's literally a piece of wire?

    Hello, good video :) When you put in new fan speed control, did you lose refrigerant gas or does it have a valve depressor?

    • @HVACKnowItAll
      @HVACKnowItAll  3 года назад +1

      Thank you, it had a depresser!

      @HVAC Know It All I think the p66s are not suppose to have depressors. I was told it will mess with the p66 getting a good pressure reading.

      @HVACKnowItAll thank you! I'm about to change one myself today and I couldn't find anyone who knew if there was a valve core under there or not. That's always nerve racking when you aren't sure. Now hopefully no one has been in here before and got the idea to remove it.

    A little new to working on those dry coolers
    Was that a drive that smoked out? It didn’t look like it but again, I’m a little new to Lieberts and haven’t dealt with those Condensers too much
    And to bypass the control, did you just wire it into this contactors?

    • @HVACKnowItAll
      @HVACKnowItAll  6 лет назад

      That's a condenser, dry coolers are for water/glycol. I bypased that one by jumping it out.

      Cool man. Keep up the good work. I’ll be working on those more in the future so I’ll be sure to check out any future videos you have on any Server room equipment

    I always change the cap with the motor.

    Change out the p-66, motor and always throw a new capacitor in with any new motor, making sure the capacitor matched the MFD rating for the starting of the motor. Right now I have what looks like multiple fans on a liebert remote condenser. The fan on the P-66 is good, but further back in the cooler on BMS I'm showing 3 fans are consistently not running. Unfortunately they're EC fans, so this will probably be super expensive. This is why I love Air cooled chillers. Why bother with CRAC unit's when you can have CRAH's and AHU's? Less things to break and less hassles on average.
