The homeowner may have had their house burglarized but the kid doesn't know. An armed home owner sees the kid, yells stop. The kid, thinking he's going to record a conflict reaches for or begins raising his phone. The home owner gets scared, thinking the kid is armed and blows the kid away. Something like that has happened dozens of times in real life. You don't put your fate in someone else's hand by doing dumb stuff. I'm sure that you've seen too many vids here of people on TikTok or IG doing what other internet nutcases do go bad. Too many people get caught up with the mentality of "It's harmless" or "I was just...." and they get messed up.
