Welcome guys to my home state , "Dev bhoomi" - land of gods. You can visit Rishikesh , haridwar ( ganga arti is famous, Mansa devi temple etc) , Char dham ( Kedarnath Badrinath gangotri yamnotri ) and if are on long vacation you can also visit Panch kedar temples( linked to pandavas praying to lord shiva during their last journey). You can also visit Prayags (like Devprayag) where mother ganga meets other small rivers.

Uttarakhand is dev bhumi , lot of spiritual vibes
I remember a sandy beach on the ganges with thousands of white butterflies eating on minerals in the sand.
They all flew up when i walked through them.
Then i walked a little bit up the ganges and saw a little hut made out of stones with a baba sitting in the window.
A group of babas invited me to tea and chapatis.
I went into the ganges finally and immersed myself in the ice cold water coming from the mountains.
I was in Rishikesh in 1996 and it was beautiful.

Amazing place with natural beauty all around! These Holy places are Spiritually energized! We had recently been to Haridwar at Prem Nagar Ashram to attend Baishakhi program. It was a short trip so, couldn't visit Rishikesh. May Lord Krishna help you & family around! Wish you all happy, safe stay! Thankfully, by the Grace of God, we didn't have to deal with taxi drivers! It's true, in India, not only tourists from other countries but inland tourists too have to be careful & alert.

One of my favourite destinations. If you want to travel cheap then use /share local vehicles with local people. They are very nice and helpful.

Try Haridwar during Kumbhamela. Our family did it many years ago. We also visited Char Dham. However we did not take a plane ✈️ but took busses and hired Ambassadors. The real austerity started when we met with a Landslide and had to continue on foot. At night we camped out with the Sadhus under trees. Alakanand and Bhaghirati Rivers are full of life. The higher you get up the mountains, the more beautiful it gets. Those days it was an austerity, but today I am glad we did it and visited the shrine in Bhadrinath. Hare Krishna 🙏🏼

Thanks for showing us beautiful Rishikesh. That's my birthplace. Beautiful souls like you always portray beautiful things. I have seen that you always try to cover nice things about India just contrary to what other western visitors do. They specifically chose to go to slums and ghettos and all the ugly places and keep on covering them as if there exists nothing else than those bad things in India. and based on that everyone makes a rigid opinion about India that it is like that only. I wonder where in this world slums do not exist. I have seen overgrown slums in many Western countries too including the US. But Western media never show that. Each and every country has something good and something bad to offer. It all depends on you what you chose to see and show. In the case of India, people should keep in mind that it is the world's second-most populous country hence the existence of everything be it good or bad would be multifold. But thanks again for your great work. I love watching your videos. Keep up the good work. and yes your kids have grown big. It's always nice to see them enjoying themselves there.
