- How could two friends drift so far apart? It would seem leadership places unseen burdens upon those that carry it. Firestar will always fight for the good of his friends, Onestar will fight for the good of his clan. But who walks the moral path? The difference between right and wrong is not always black and white.

PHEW! This... was... a 48 hour.. sorta.. PMV but it took a week! For the record MOST parts were completed within the 48 hours but some were back-ups and some took a little over and it became quite a large editing job so it took a little longer! But BOY WAS IT FUN!!
I think it was possibly a little too ambitious to try to tell this whole story and only give 48 hours and it was even MORE ambitious to do it in black and white. No colours means that suddenly character designs become a whole lot tougher and I think that might make it hard to follow! Particularly between Leafpool and Sandstorm. I've included their designs and the scrip below for you guys to read if you need to!
All in all I had a blast with this and I hope you did too!! Thank you SO much to all participants! I'm going to... Sleep... And not draw cats for a while...

So before I became Hamilton trash as I am now, I honestly couldn't get the music or story because I didn't know what it was about, and thus was also not a big fan of the genre of some of their music (I'm not usually much for hip hop). But at the same time, I was introduced to Hamilton music through Warriors with Oakheart's "Wait for It" video, and I could appreciate that genre (Noodlers' beautiful animation helped too). Then I discovered Galactibun's animatics and "Satisfied" became a favourite of mine, and I slowly got into the other songs. "Non-Stop" is also a favourite of mine, certain parts more so than others, so I came back to see if I could understand it better. And with a better grasp on Hamilton, I realized that the video made a lot more sense. There were still scenes I was unsure about though, so the description including the cast list and the script was a major help!
Now that I've come to appreciate Hamilton more, this makes so much more sense and thus appears that much more brilliant to me. It's amazingly clever how you fitted the song to Onestar and Firestar's relationship! Loved all the scenes that were mapped out in the script. They fit very nicely, and the animation did a good job of conveying it once I understood what was really going on, and they all turned out so gorgeous, especially with the limitations of black and white (which is also very clever). I like that making it black and white gives it a symbolic feel because Onestar and Firestar did things so differently: one for the good of the clan and the other for what he thought was good, and yet it's not black and white which one was the "better leader".
So all in all, great job guys! Loved it.

Watching the first time, I got a general grasp of what was going on, but was still very confused on a lot of details in the MAP. I then read the script, a few parts at a time, and watched the ones I read, and continued through the video just reading the script and watching how it fit into each part of the MAP.
I have to say that when I watched it all the way through the next time, I had a much deeper appreciation for this MAP. Even the first time, without fully knowing what was going on, it really brought out some feelings, but the next time I watched it, there was so much more to be felt. Everyone did absolutely amazing on their parts, and this entire thing was a real work of art!

God the hindsight of this map knowing what Onestar did makes this even more heartbreaking. Firestar and his kittypet origins probably brought back all of the guilt and doubt onestar had over rejecting smoke and darktail

Caused battles and wars that weren’t needed, sides with Sol when sol got windlcan to attack thunder clan using the tunnels, mates with a kitty pet becoming a hypocrite and a bonding her and his son leaving his son alone after his mom died causing shadow clan to almost completely collapse from Darktail and his group all because one star got buisy with a kitty pet after completely attacking thunderclan for being weak from there so called ‘kitty pet blood’
No one ever seems to mention that he judged Bramblestar for being related to Tigerstar, someone he can’t control. Onestar mocks him and tells him that he probably planned Firestar’s death with Tigerstar

"Why do you assume your the smartest in the room?" immediately made me think of Squirrelpaw, and by the lyrics Hamilton sounds like it could easily be Squirrelpaw talking, and Burr's lines sounds like they could be Brambleclaw's.

People call Purdy old and Tallstar's best friend was Firestar's father. {Which, Firestar had already become a leader by the time Tallstar died.} Barkface was Tallstar's second best friend, who was I think a season or two older than him. Tallstar died of old age, as you said, and Barkface outlived him by a few more seasons... so, as far as I know, Barkface is the oldest cat in the series, {as in, he lived the longest} maybe around the same age as Purdy.

Watching again in 2022. This pmv started a lot of things for me. If it didn't show up in my recommendations that day I wouldn't have gotten into this fandom. Made a lot of lasting friends because of it. I'm not into warriors as much as I used to be but this pmv is always gonna have a special place in my heart.

This map got me into Hamilton, which then helped me discover the world of musical theatre, and now I’m a huge theatre kid in high school who got to play a main character recently. I have made so many friends and have made so many memories in theatre, and it’s insane to think that I used to despise musicals and had a bad relationship with music in general lol! hamilton and theatre helped me to come out of my shell and continue growing, past even my warriors phase. However this map has really stuck with me for these past 5 years. it’s truly been a blessing and I can’t thank you guys enough ❤️

This was the very first pmv or map in general I’ve ever watched. I remember precisely how it inspired me to animate. The people no participated here did a wonderful job, it transitions smoothly and the pmv and art in general blows me away. I aspire to be like all these wonderful artists, and I will always hold this pmv map in my heart, not only did it inspire me to animate, I learned about Hamilton through this. Thank you, to all those wonderful animators who participated and to all the animators out there in general. I wouldn’t be where I am without you all.

I LOVE Firestar being Alexander Hamilton. It’s SO perfect.
I remember when this MAP first came out. I was fully into my Warriors phase and consuming every bit of content I could. I didn’t even know anything about Hamilton at the time.
But I remember watching this amazing MAP done by so many talented artists, and being so incredibly impressed to the point that I had rewatched it so many times I could memorise the lyrics to the song.
The animation is gorgeous, the way the song perfectly intertwined with Firestar and Onestar’s story, every little detail is well-thought out.
Even years later, seeing this work continue to be among the most popular pieces of Warriors fan content warms my heart. Congratulations to all those who participated, and a special thank you to the host. Without you all, we wouldn’t have this stunning MAP to look upon. I wish you all the best and I hope years later, even new fans can come to appreciate this MAP as much as I do
