I'm an old fart. I admit it! My first thought when i saw "Fukkstar" video was "so, theyre a metal version of Die Antwood?" Then i decided "Live is how you should really judge any band" so i clicked on this. And god - was i wrong!!!! This is a pretty amazing band! The energy especially reminds me of going to early prodigy gigs. I reckon i can put some of their tracks into my playlists! Add a new acolade Wargasm - "Old Fart approved" !!!!!!!!!!
Same man. I'm class '82. I get Die Antwoord, Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, The Prodigy. Their influences are quite obvious to me BUT used to love nu-metal and I still follow a few bands from late 90s / early 00s. I appreciate the energy of Wargasm, the music is well produced, they are good on stage. Honestly, I can only say good things about them and I wish them success. Yeah, their influences are obvious to me, but it's also a generational thing. I'm sure in the 90s the music fan that were older than me were hearing the influence of 70s and 80s band in that music, whereas to me it was all fresh, so, you get what I mean?

Saw these guys in a small venue in Connecticut opening for cory taylors cmf2 band. The energy they give off is insane. I fell in love w this chick instantly when she dropped to her knees and pretended to perform fellatio on the other singer. Im not into skinny little blondes i just love her vibe.
I've seen them live in smaller club shows and they rocked. This performance is indeed pretty weak. Tbh, I've seen bands who've been performing for 20+ years and sound shit during a festival but amazing in a club or venue show. Some bands just aren't made for big festival stages.
the promoter may have booked them thinking the were getting the WARGASM from the USA who was an 80's thrash band based out of Massachusetts 1985-95 and reunited 2 times 2004 and 2008
@@jimash nope, definitely not, Wargasm are known in the UK scene and had just played Download. They were booked mostly because the Bloodstock team were really struggling to find British bands who were stage-ready, as the pandemic prevented most international travel

Seems to be it's a sound engineering issue. They usually have quite a huge playback parts that includes lots of synth bass lines, but in this set it's hard even to hear the guitar. Seems to be FOH engineer screwed up.

"It's a FOH issue" FOH issues like that don't happen to bands that actually play their shit live, instead of picking up their instruments for the appearance a few select times in the set. It's pathetic, and the two just look awkward running around and trying to rock out when they're alternating vox. Just hold the instrument and play it, and learn to have stage presence while playing, and people will forgive the energy far more than if you're not carrying a guitar and still aren't able to kick it off.

They would benefit seriously from mid and low range frequencies. They need a bassist at least, if not a second guitar doubling the sound.
