We used to have so much music like this in the 50s, 60s, 70s, even lots of 80s songs. We took it for granted. I can play anything by Motown, early Elvis, the Beatles, Stones, Dylan, Elton John, Jackson Brown, Tom Petty, Neill Young, CSN, maybe 100 more, ...it's still wonderful. But modern stuff is just produced. It is usually nothing from the heart. Sounds the same to me from artist to artist, song to song. This is a classic new people will "discover" in 30 years.

The song kind of hits home the basics of how relationships can be brutal, you spend a long time pouring your heart into one, then when it ends. Most of us can't bear the immediate ghosting of someone we invested in so deeply. So we lash out while at the same time, regretting the decision.
Couldn't have been sung by anyone better.
