One of my favourites to o. This song was from 1976 after Bohemian Rhapsody. He said it was inspired by his love of Aretha . He wanted to work with her but was too shy to approach her. He especially loved her gospel album Amazing Grace& said he played it a lot. Me, too. Sadlg, it never happened.
love your excitement listening to Queen. Then again, it's kind of hard not to be amazed by them, especially live. No one has ever put on a better show.
You were struggling to restrain yourself - Queen will do that to a soul! Shout it out! Lots more FIRE out there with their live performances. Many thrills and discoveries await you, so fun to share.
Outstanding performance by every member of this band. My absolute favorite live performance of any band is Queen: White Queen live at Odeon, Hammersmith 1975. It is an outstanding performance.
He writes it; he sings it; he owns it and Roger, Deaky, and Brian match his level of commitment to entertain and this is what we get! And we're not letting it disappear. Thus legendary Queen! Neat watching you too!
I love your reactions and here is why. Not only are you articulate, but you are actually more interested in listening to the song than you are talking. I know it's a requirement to interject occasionally, but some are trying to be the center of attention verses it being about the music. So thank you. These bands deserve that kind of respect. What they do to bring us music to our ears is a lot of hard work. And I love them for it. Music has always been important in my life. I have much respect for you 😀
This is the best First Song to react to from Queen!! Its the best live song ever filmed IMHO... by anyone!! Next do Bohemian Rapsody!!! --- I just became a new fan of yours! your enthusiasm and vigor watching Queen is really awesome! And my God you have a gorgeous voice!! You could go into radio or journalism!!
Brian the lead guartist homemade his guitar with parts around his house when he was a teenager. He made it with his dad. He calls it the Red Special.. still uses it to this day.
HIs dad was an electrical engineer. Even the neck was built from scratch, which is hard work to create to hold the strings tension. The center body of the Red Special was created from oak, the wood recycled from an old table. It was carved out to be a hollow body. There's a lot more involved, but this shows how personal it was to him.
I've luv luv my queen. I've seen this a million times and my toes still curl and for some reason my right eye closes when he hits it. I think I'm trying to hit those notes too.
Go back to early Queen and watch "White Queen " live from the Hammersmith Odeon in 1976. I've been following your reactions and you really seem to appreciate the music of my youth. Love it!!
Thank you! I’ve been following your Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin reactions and really enjoying them, so I’ve been requesting this song in nearly every one I think, so Thank you! Freddie is my love. I always go back to his voice, because it always makes me feel happy. He was a huge Aretha Franklin fan, and this song with its gospel feel and scatting, was inspired by her. Queen is a huge and very diverse rabbit hole. They didn’t confine themselves to just one genre, they did songs in every genre you can think of. Thrash metal, hard rock, ballads, jazz, blues, music hall and opera. You will know many of their songs, especially if you’ve ever been to any type of sporting event because many of their songs became anthems. We Will Rock You, We are the Champions. Please check out Another One Bites the Dust live at Wembley 1986. You will love it
I always love live performance over recordings but especially when it's people who perform with such talent and passion. So pleased I'm old & wrinkly enough to have seen Queen live several times, every performance more epic than the previous one.
Where & when did you see them? I saw them in '74, '78, & '80-- Memphis, New Orleans, Memphis. They did this song in '78 & '80 but even though I was there, I still think this is the best performance of it they ever did. Just perfect!
WELCOME to the QUEEN rabbit hole!😉 This is going to be a fantastic journey for you and I look forward to being here with you for it! So I would like to help you get acquainted with the band. Lead singer - Freddie Mercury Lead Guitar - Dr Brian May Bass Guitar - John Deacon Drums - Roger Taylor All of them can sing and write songs! What you are witnessing with QUEEN is pure talent..there was no AUTO TUNE back then! Unfortunately the world lost Freddie in 1991 to Aids. Shortly after his passing the cure was found for this disease. Thank God for you and your generation taking the time to learn more about this LEGENDARY Group and sharing your journey with us wrinkly ones!!! 😊
Bruh I love your enthusiasm and energy for the older "classic" music. Anybody can sing with autotune. With the older music what you hear on an album sounds the same live.
Freddie and Queen are perfection. All their music thru the years is nothing but top notch. Check out their last album...Innuendo. Bijou. Freddie with Monserrat Cabelle is breathtaking. BARCELONA AND HOW CAN I GO ON.
Queen brought & my favorite song brought me here! 💟🎶💜🎶 Thank you. Freddie wrote this highly inspired by the great Aretha Franklin! He really loved her. Tho Queen totally knocks your socks off in this performance I found that the Milton Keynes version is on Fire 🔥🔥 Hmmm doesn’t matter when & where Queen is always hot & powerful. ❤️🔥❤️🔥 Hope you do more Queen & may I suggest DRAGON ATTACK from this same concert!! Congrats 1K 🎉🎉

Such a fun, fun reaction!! 😎 just hit the subscribe button! Side note. I truly believe there is no voice like Freddie... he’s a legend!! but you have a singer voice! 😊 nice! 👍🏻
With show time approaching, towels and drinks for the band’s refreshment on stage would now be strategically placed: water and beer for Fred, beer for Brian and Roger and the Backstage Bar for John, comprising water, beer, soft drinks, wine and whatever spirit or cocktail he fancied at the time: Southern Comfort, vodka or tequila. - Peter Hince (aka Ratty), Fred’s and John’s roadie and head of Queen’s crew.
Microphone guy is Peter “Ratty” Hince... THE roadie for both Freddie and John. Ratty’s book “Queen Unseen” is an interesting look into what it was like to work for and travel the world with Queen.
