ProjectAir hey I really enjoy your videos! I was wondering where do you get your foam from? I live in the uk as well and I have had a hard time trying to find good quality foam board.
Instead of thanking us for watching, we should be thanking you for doing all of this and sharing them with everyone. Keep up the great work. I also like that you are making the video more in-depth. Just so you know.
How neat. The original Vampire build of yours was an inspiration back in the day for almost all of my first attempts at scratch building. Never yet got something built that could match its speed, but maybe someday.
That Vampire looks like a real fun design nice and compact too James. Regarding your channel please keep it as it is with the novel subjects that you build,I would like to see you fitting micro radio gear and small motors in some of the Vintage Model company kit designs perhaps doing a conversion here on your channel,I have fitted such equipment in these small flyers and it can be very challenging but rewarding, perhaps even VMC can be approached about making a simple conversion module pack that fits the range of fighters etc,a simple laser cut frame with tiny motor,ESC and hardware pack, you could do the design workand draw up an instruction leaflet to go with it. It is good to see young people like yourself building models again, experimenting with new unusual designs as you are doing, keep up the good work James.
Great personality and intelligent young man. Good sense of humor, makes my dat y and I am learning a lot about RC friend and how parts work. Keep up the great work James God bless.
I really love your videos. You are the one keeping me motivated in my studies to make my own planes one day. I wanted to download this plane and the website said that, the domain is not connected to a website yet. Please help. If anybody has the file downloaded, please share me a link. Thank you all very much!!
James, if you come to Flite Fest this year, I have several rocket gliders I'm bringing, and you're welcome to fly one or two and see how we do it in the US. :)
Thank you very much for sharing the plane with us! This is one of my favorite airplanes, so I'd quite like to make one. What size paper did you draw the plans on? The scale 100% option on my print menu seems broken, it wll fit on one A4 sheet (almost Letter 8 size).
Hi James ... I just printed the plans, but it only printed on 1 piece of letter (A4) size paper. How do you scale it up to the proper size. There aren't any dimensions on your plan, so it's a little difficult to know how big this should be. Thanks in advance ...
Beautiful airplane, man! Really well done and flying! 😃 I'm unable to do much right now, because of health issues... I'm not even making or uploading videos. But as soon as I can I'm going to make one of your airplanes. 😃
Where is the CG? I'm not being able to get the CG ahead of about 50% of the wing. Is that about right or do I have to put some weight on the nose? Also should I glue the wing as far back as possible or as far front as possible?
@@Project-Air thanks, yeah I'm using a 2s 800mah. That rules out a problem right now trying to build the thing in a way that I can remove the motor as I only have one.
Alright James. The plane looks proper nice however, as seen a couple of times it looks like its prone to tip stalling. Is this true? or was cg not far enough forward or any other factors? Looking to build it, it looks nice!
I've added more undercamber and redesigned the wings to be less tapered to fix this. It's fine most of the time, but it will drop a wing under a certain airspeed which you should be aware of.
ProjectAir sounds good👍🏼 was gonna print the plans but realised they were ‘png’, will they print off tiled or not? I can’t seem to change them to a pdf
@@Project-Air Many thanks for getting back to me James. I wasn't doubting you at all. I love the Ft Spitfire and am relatively new to flying just wondered if I could save myself some mishaps . Keep up the good work. I'll let you know how it goes.
I know that you are posting plans of your designs, will that include some of your older ones? (Like the FPV Warbird and the Rocket plane one?) All the best James!
Can make two copies of a drone body I designed.I don't know much about building drone motors and receivers, but let me know if you can use my body style
Hey James, I think it's good to set up a parteon page so people can support the work you are doing. However please do not make your plans or anything build related only accessible through patreon. This hobby lives from all the free plans out there and you should not take them away. As an alternative Reward for your Patreons you could give away some merch, maybe patreon only specialized merch. There are lots of other things around other than forcing people to get patreon just for the Plans. Please keep that in mind, I have been annoyed by this so many times... Best Regards from Germany Henning (if you are wondering about my channel name, this one is called like that because my real channel is named HB Stratos)
Hey Henning, I absolutely get your point and agree with you - more stuff should be free and restricting loyal viewers from content is definitely not the way to go about things! ☺️ Have no fear, I'm not going to be doing anything unfairly. I've been trying to figure out a way to carefully approach this subject for sometime; it seems to me that the way to justify a Patreon is to offer something extra as a digital product - to make it worthwhile for someone to support the channel in this way. Resources and bonus videos that I take the extra time and effort to make seemed like the best concept for exclusive content. Perhaps, though, the extra video content alone would be a better way to go about it. I am not sure. I like your merch idea. I will have to think about it more. The point of a Patreon would be for all funds to go directly back into the videos and projects (to encourage creativity and experimentation), rather than paying for my bills (or tea habit). Hopefully this will encourage people to sign up for a couple of £ a month. For anyone wondering, this is why I want to start one when we hit 10K subs. Feel free to suggest any other ideas! 😉👍 - James

This was a cool video! I loved the way it looked!
Build one of those around a 70-90mm edf. Even more speed/fun in a small package
Thanks James. Do you have a flask for your backpack btw? ;)
Not yet - but I should.

nice little plane you have there, by the way. Inspiring.

Amazing plane!!!
build video please..
I was looking forward to you building a functional miniature jet engine :(

Aʙᴏᴏᴅ Rᴏsᴀʀɪᴏ Right now I live somewhere near the Peak District in the North of England :)

Or you could build a Virgin Galactic pair

Alright James. The plane looks proper nice however, as seen a couple of times it looks like its prone to tip stalling. Is this true? or was cg not far enough forward or any other factors? Looking to build it, it looks nice!
Not sure, but would exposing some under camber at the wingtips as on the Ft Spitfire solve this?
I've added more undercamber and redesigned the wings to be less tapered to fix this. It's fine most of the time, but it will drop a wing under a certain airspeed which you should be aware of.

This would have been awesome as an edf powered rc plane
Hey James, I think you should make a variable geometry wing so the wing tips fold up or down to decrease wing area and drag, making it faster.
Mattie Dumbrill fantastic idea!
