One of the harness line connections on the boom failed just before taking the video and jury rigged it with a clove hitch. Harness lines have since been replaced. Planning for another session tomorrow morning. This time at Pt. Judith, RI. Big waves and high winds expected .
@@vesterh That’s great, I payed full price, but had it for about 15 years, only sold due to injury. Also had an Energy 95l for slalom, I loved that board, fast as any new board. Anyhoo, great to see this wave board in action, and the conditions look similar to my old sailing spot, so many memories, and what a great colour on the water. Have fun !
@@vesterh Was gonna say that, that is an old board. You rocked it. I been getting back in the water sailing, OBX, with my 20 year old board and sails.....i am so out of shape 🤣, but having fun. Getting a new wetsuit, as my old wetsuit shrunk on me, who've thought neoprene would shrink? 🤷♀
Can t have à ride with one of those old shape. Get used to the modern « stubby » shapes, its just incredible when it comes about jumping. Anyway seems you had a pretty good blast on that one
Kind of ballsy to go in those conditions, hope the contingencies are in your favor for a breakdown, getting too OP’d to waterstart. But I probably would have done the same thing 25 years ago.
Great stuff. I was nervous you wouldn't make it back in!!! (Of course, by watching the vid, I knew you got back in). Anyway, at the beginning it looked like you were standing in knee deep water, and then a wave goes over your head - while still in the harbor. Yikes.
Good one lars
respect on using that ol' board and harness lines. Trooooper
Right on - love the video - that made my day. Been there many times, you do what I like to do…just go out… that was a fun trip!
Awesome. Love the whole kit, which looks like its already proven itself. MANY times over 😁👍
好有挑戰性!太有趣了!water start很熟練呢!可以安全的返航❤👍
Nice Lars 🤙🏻 subscribed
Im still rocking my old Mistral Razor for those rare nukin days...damned good boards.
those harness lines looks well dodgy for these conditions !!

Scary 😮
ooof.... that looks like one of those tough sessions!
Proof you don’t need a £2000. board. Great vid !
Bought the board for $50, about 20 years ago. I have Naish as well which is more lively but harder to manage in these conditions

@@solarmagister I agree with this. looking to get a board a bit wider, with a wider tail for easier sailing. At 66 I need that 😁
crazy spin out, the board is fully overpowered
pure feeling, awesome

I still have my Mistral Scores. 89 and 85
How can you ride with this harness set😮😮?. You must have very very strong arms to sail like this!!!
