Dan Boneh is not only a legend in cryptography but also a superhero in giving lectures. Teaching such a complex subject in plain English!

Would love to hear this guy's lecture on the topic of randomness.

Boneh: There's children here, I'll keep it simple
Also Boneh: Rushes into a 1 hour lecture about the origins of elliptic curve theory and advanced number theory

Inspiring to watch. Thank you. I like that you presented the operation (point, point) of the cyclic group of points on the EC with a special PLUS operation symbol. That makes it absolutely clear. I often see cryptographers annoyingly repeating the fact again and again, that addition of points here is not meant coord. wise - but in the known geometric sense.

51:32 What is the reason to hash the seed? Whether the seed is intentionally chosen or not, a SHA1 of the seed does not add additional randomness, since hash itself is deterministic.

Why would any government allow quantum computers to go mainstream? Seems like a great tool to have against ones enemy.
