When something is 'not' shown in a walkthrough, I am left to think that maybe there is something to hide.
A quality crew is every bit as important to the yacht experience as is the quality of the yacht. To that end, getting and keeping a good, happy crew, the facilities and quarters offered to the crew are as crucial to a walkthrough as the engine room.

I'm going to guess the owner opted out of the crew quarters and went for the Sauna instead. I think where the Sauna is at is where the crew's quarters would normally have been or there is none or share one of the guest cabins?

Great space, love the 4 staterooms, would like to see the crew quarters but one thing I noticed is the bow configuration it seems to push a lot of water maybe it could use a bulbous bow or sharper entry. i can see my fuel bill being pushed at the bow.

You have to remember: this boat was built primarily for ocean capability and range than speed. At quicker speeds, it is expected for this to happen as the hull was designed for capability and efficiency at slower speeds.

I kept hearing “fast” and “trans-Atlantic range”, but no numbers given nor the speed needed for the maximum range. Can you share that information?

    • @Leosarebetter
      @Leosarebetter 2 года назад +3

Hey, since no one will answer you, heres my view.....Its the same BS from a lot of boat builders. I believe they said fuel capacity was 22,000 litres. Twin V12 - 1650 Hp. Lets say, and I will use conservative fuel figures here, each engine chews through 90 Litres per hour each, total of 180 litres per hour (not including generators) at 90 Litres per hour each I would guess at STW (Speed thru Water) around 9 knots. So the figures are approx 22,000 divided by 180 LPH X 9 knots. Thats makes around a range of roughly 1,099 Nautical Miles. Dont forget to less 10 to 15% for safety margin. Push that speed up to 18 or 20 knots and the range is well under 450 Nautical Miles. The amount of diesel these 1650 HP engines chew through is gob smacking. If you check out the manufacturers specs the consumption figures are staggering. Even if my guess is out by 20 litres or X amount of Nautical Miles they are not trans Atlantic. Another thing, watch how stiff the vessel is by the way she is throwing herself from Port to Starboard whilst at the dock, tied up - compare that to the vessel next to it. Take a straight line, any top of any window and watch just how much she bobs around. Stabilizers are a must for her and bet is on that they use the hydralic type that requires a generator running, ie more fuel use. I was on a beautiful big Hatteras with similar set up, when the old girl got going each engine was demolishing 280 Litres Per Hour each, just to give you some perspective. Also consider that to do the theoretical 1000 NM at todays fuel cost is roughly $48,000+ thats way too expensive when you can do the same at around 50 to 70 Litres per hour in total (vs 180+ in total) in a similar full displacement boat. You had a good question btw.

    Hello from across the pond
It is nice to actually see you on a boat doing a presentation unlike other presentations from you and the company you work for
I refer to the 2 walk throughs of the Chimera 125ft and the Rebel 157ft
Both fantastic boats, but why ooh why would the owners let your company be responsible for a presentaion to hopefully sell their well cared for product, when you do not seem to think that you do not have to be on board (wrong) or even see the boat
On the Chimera 125ft, your cameraman follows Kurt Bosshardtaround like a lap dog
More astounding is the beginning of the presentation for the Rebel 157ft, where you walk alonside the so called award winning Excellence 262ft, surrounded by scaffolding, obviously not yet finished (but already winning awards probably presented by your company), with you stating that the Rebel 157ft was docked at the stern, but you are nowhere in sight during the full length of the presentation ( astounding and pathetic both by you and your company )
I find this very disturbing as i am sure other people will agree that honesty is a priority when buying anything
There is no way that you should be trusted to do a presentation of their product when you have never even seen the product
i did not put this comment in for a reply.
I put this comment in because i felt i had to.

How large of a crew does this yacht require, and is there a separate living space for them on board?

Thanks for your interest Joe. VENERA has space for 4 crew members including the captain. And yes, they have a separate crew quarters onboard
