    Great review. Just what I was waiting for!! Was planning on either the EX or Z range. Might go with the Z fast taper to match my Luvias LT.

      Thanks !! Glad you enjoyed it and found it helpful. Surprisingly the Z and EX feel very different in hand. If you get a chance jump into a store and just hold both the reel handle and seat make them feel very different. Both good but different

      @@fishingmad Will do. Where did you get them from? I wonder if BCF/Anaconda have stock now to see in person. I too was close to getting a Grub Freak but wanted to see these new Infeet range. I'm abit of a Daiwa junkie 😁 hence my Luvias is waiting for a new mate. I'll have a feel of both the EX and the Z. I like the Z 732LFS purely for soft plastics.
      We shall see.

    • @fishingmad
      @fishingmad  3 года назад +1

      I got them from Trellys in Laverton. Im not sure if BCF or Ananconda will stock them as its probably above the usual rods that they sell in the stores. They tend to sell more of the entry level Daiwa and Shimano stuff. I have been experimenting with a Grub freak and twitch freak. There amazing rods. They would want to be at that price point. Id be curious in what you thin. I too got a Luvias 2000D last week and loving it.

    • @Styla78
      @Styla78 3 года назад +1

      @@fishingmad Fair enough. I might goto my local Compleat Angler then. Pretty sure they would have some in stock by now. Yeah the Grub Freak looks amazing. Pity they are manufactured in China now ☹
      I got the Luvias LT 2500S. Yes they are brilliant. Light as a feather.
      Oh...since you have the Vanford also...do you find the vanford has a lower starting inertia to the Luvias or are they about the same.

    • @fishingmad
      @fishingmad  3 года назад +1

      Yeah Compleat Angler would stock them for sure. I didn't realise the Millers stuff was manufactured in China I always assumed they were made locally. The Luvias and the Vanford have very similar resistance on initial wind. The Vanford is surprisingly incredibly smooth. The luvias is very smooth but probably not as smooth as what i thought it was going to be. The both have very similar rotations and resistance.

    Hi Alan just wondering because I have way to many rods do you think that the savage gear stealth 1dfr 1-4 kg would be perfect for both hard body and soft plastics rod? Or is the daiwa infeet 702lfs a better choice for both styles of fishing? Thanks again

      The new infeets are more refined then the older models and much more variety of options in the range. Big price difference between the Base Z and EX so that will be a big factor. Also instaed of the EX you may also look at some other high end rods which aren't to much more expensive but a bit nicer.

    • @B-e-n01
      @B-e-n01 Год назад

      @@stevejones9636 if I’m being honest, it struggles to cast the light lures (even though that’s what it’s rated for) I found it great to pitch crabs, but when trying to cast a crank bait it struggled, despite being a bit more lengthy. If you throwing 1-3g jig heads & light bream style lures, I’d honestly sacrifice a bit of length for a lighter tip, & in this case will actually produce a better cast from my experience. (My 6’10 twitch freak easily outcasts it).
      I’ve moved this rod on since writing the initial post, I have a yamaga blanks 8’2 blue current which does everything I hoped the 7’8 would do. I fish cranks on it, light soft plastics etc, it does all of it well enough to fish from the rocks/shore with a light outfit.
      The most notable difference is how light the tip section is on the yamaga compared to the infeet, this is where the cast ability for lightly weighted lures comes from.
      Hope it helps. If your considering the yamaga iso fishing lifestyle in Sydney has them, & they’re a beautiful rod.

Looking at a good all rounder 1-3kg stick for throwing tiny placcies, as well as cranka crabs, blades, and little chubbies, specifically in that under 5g range. Oh and probably also sometimes top water. Probably put a 1000 or 2000 on it and run either Pe 0.4 or Pe 0.6. Also wanna be casting pretty far.

      I've used the infeet, millerdos and Samurais for some time now, id say the Millerods and Samurai's are a slight step up from the infeets. I really do rate the grub freak and twitch freak but nether really is a general prpose that covers both. I find i generally use my twitch freak as my goto, but it is a tad whippy on plastics. the infeet ex 702lrfs was a really nice allrounder. If you get a chance go into a shop and feel them in your hand, as they do feel very different and have different actions. Eg millers have the skeleton reel seat which is so light but not the comfiest whilst the infeet has full eva grip which us a tad heavier but really comfy in the hand. There all fantastic and you wouldnt be dispointed with either but if your paying $500 plus go into a store and feel them first. I hope that helps
