My wheat penny collection is about 60-70% complete. I have all the '50s ones except 1953, I have all but 4 of the '40s ones, about 2/3 of the '30s ones, about 1/3 of the '20s ones, about 1/3 of the '10s ones, and 2 of the 4 1909s.
The glare looked like a steel cent on the thumbnail 😂

Canada has stopped circulating pennies and not being issued or widely used anymore. Thus less and less canadians will travel south with canadian pennies so pretty much what is already in circulation in the United States will be all that remains.

Can't wait for Monday when I get to my Bank and pick up some boxes of pennies to sort through with the Hope I'll have the Good luck with finding more Wheat Pennies 👍
I always enjoy watching your coin hunts but miss the metal detecting videos. It is amazing how many wheaties are still in circulation. You mentioned you know a thing or two about errors. I just recently found what I believe to be a 1944 P silver war nickel RPM but since errors are not my specialty I am really not sure if that is what I found. I just loaded a video on that coin to see if any error experts out there could help answer my question about it. Happy Hunting!
The 1989 you found is a MAD (Misaligned die) its fairly common from what I hear from the "CoinHelpU" channel. I like finding them either way!
I went to the bank for my second penny roll hunt today. A box of 18 rolls contained only 2019 D’s. I decided to ask for nickels at a different bank after this disaster. From two costumer rolls I got a 1943 war nickel ender, a 1960 young head Canadian nickel, a few pre 1964 coins, and 3 2004 Lewis and Clark series. Pretty good in my opinion for two rolls.

Wheat pennies is from 1909 to 1958 and its hard to find 1909 to 1929 and also 1943 steel or copper I just started collecting pennies and sometimes they don't have a box of pennies.
1936 - Can't get mad at that.
Living on the west coast, it's difficult for me to get my hands on shield cents from Philadelphia, so all those philadelphias in the video are making me jealous.
My second ever wheat penny that I found was a 1936. The first was a 1945-S and I found that minutes before the 1936.
i got 5 enders yesterday
The 1954 cent is a low mintage versus other Philadelphia strikes of the time with just 71,640,000. That is fewer than any 1934 to 1958. Also, it has a lower mintage than the 1909!
The 1989 was a very small off center and an arror i would recomend keeping
I fnd those dbl rimmed pennies to, don’t know if they are worth any.

Ahh i wish i could find old coins but unfortunately the oldest coins you can find in Australia are from only 1966
That's still fairly old! But I get what you're saying. Did the dimensions of Australian currency change in '66?

Lay a dime in your double die rainbow cent and see if the ring matches. That might be what caused it?

woot! glad you stopped hoarding copper, its a silly thing to do (yea its worth a tad bit more, but is it really worth it... nope, tons of financial instruments have better rates of return than hoarding pennies for the day you can sell for melt lol)
