Because of that Army Italians were pissing in the pants when there was mobilsation in Slovenia due to Trieste crisis and formation of one new italian unit close to the border. That army saved us from soviets multiple times. In 1968 there was a 3 monts of alert state due to Pague spring. People were talking not will USSR attack us but when will they attack in one moment a huge formation of aircrafts was heading toward us and we got all available airplanes in the air gor fight. Guard army was ready to destroy airfields to prevent VDV from doing the same trick as in Prague. But luckily they never came...
