Yeah this build was pretty great, except for the fact that Intel decided to release 13th and 14th gen cpus with a major fault, the bios will send random spikes of energy into the cpu frying it over time. Save yourself the money and get a ryzen/amd cpu. I learned that lesson the hard way
1) This was more a motherboard manufacturer default setting problem, but Intel has released microcode updates that has corrected that problem. 2) Ryzen 3D V-cached CPUs are a niche case for superior CPUs and yes fast with SOME games but slower with everything else because of lower clock frequencies. It's just that all the people that know little about PCs repeat "Ryzen, best for gaming". INTEL's 13-14K CPUs aren't gimped for performance and are better all-rounder CPUs for gaming and everything else.

Some ppl want to do more than gaming. The i7 is a fine cpu (with a good gpu you won't have a problem gaming). The 7800 is an awesome cpu but it's not the only cpu ppl should buy. Today the 7800x3d is around $60-$80 more expensive than it used to be IF it's in stock. Just enjoy building a pc ffs..
@AccuracyNZ doing an i7 + 4080 build for $2k is ganna be tough. You would have to get the CHEAPEST mobo, ram, ssd, case to be close. Better to be balanced and to find the best cpu that doesn't bottleneck the 4080

What is the fps monitor you are using?
W Case!!!
be quiet makes great cases, i love the shadowbase 800
Yeah this build was pretty great, except for the fact that Intel decided to release 13th and 14th gen cpus with a major fault, the bios will send random spikes of energy into the cpu frying it over time. Save yourself the money and get a ryzen/amd cpu. I learned that lesson the hard way
Or just know how to undervolt it.
@greatlake_editz it wasn't a known problem until a month ago after my 14900k was already fried
@@MMOsForLifemore of the fact I paid $500 for a cpu that fried itself and then the problem became widely known
Hey there, great vid. , I was just wondering if there is an ASUS MB that is the same price range for this build as the Gig. one?
can you use liquid metal instead of thumal paste
What program(s) does Karl use to edit your videos?
Resolve Studio
This is the exact build im going to be building for my first pc! In CAD$ its ginna cost like 4500 though so its going to take forever before i can get it but worth it forsure! Do u sell these pcs?
Haha same, i’m about to build a similar system with a 4080 super and 7800x3d. I’ve waited for 3 months to put all the money together and buy the parts, the last piece, the case just arrived the other day, only left to build it now.
I do need to buy a high end monitor too.
@@danidana221 yep the monitor i plan on gettings another 4-500 and i need a good controller cuz i play controller on warzone so gonna be expensive gonna take forever ta get it saved up😂
@@Jazofficial1 1000 for me lol, i plan on getting a lg c3 42 inch 😂
For controller i got a dualsense 5, for just 70 euros
I am in Canada as well also with an identical build. 4080 paired with a 14700k on a MSI Z790 Tomahawk mobo. Price totalled to just under $4000 CAD excluding tax. Price doesn't include my monitor though (Gigabyte M28U) since it's not part of the rig. Make sure you get at least a 144 hz 4k monitor if you're going with these specs to take full advantage of your PC's power. Good luck!
@@dizzyfist7 im an online game player and even on single player games i like it to feel smooth so i prioritize frames which is why i cant do console anymore, the monitor im getting to start is 1440 240 frames, the games i play i dont really want in 4k anyways but if i need an upgrade later i will forsure
Can you do a video on a PC that’s let’s play youtuber friendly?
A PC it’s great on streaming and gaming (games like God of war, Ratchet and clank and other games that use ray tracing)
I want to be able to see whats the best for this duo. I know it can be hard so I’m kinda looking for some insight.
I would grab the 7950x or an i7 / i9, then just pick the top end GPU you can :)
i have 5600x + 3070ti. I mainly just play competitive Counter Strike 2. What should i buy? I read AMD GPU's aren't great for cs2. Anyone can confirm?
Whats yall thoughts on a msi codex r i5-13400f gaming desktop computer rtx 4060 16gb 1tb windows 11 for 1st pc comming from a ps5?
It will be a nice upgrade 😊
The 4080 cards are awesome I have a msi 4080 ventus i7 12700k 64gb vengance ram runs awesome have a samsung oddessy g7 monitor no fault what so ever some insane fps in games to call of duty 268 fps 🤪 rdrd2 199 to 205 fps people don't let the 16gb of vram in the 4080 put anyone off currently upgraded from a 3090 gpu

I have been on console for years I’m looking for my 1st pc is this a good setup for FIVEM AND DAYZ? Please help me

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D 4.2GHz Processor; NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16GB GDDR6X; 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM; 2TB Solid State Drive
question but umm...if everyone is saying the 7800x3d is such a beast and nothing can compare in its price range
and how op it is for gaming....why are people still using intel cpu's
genuine question too
like should it not be a duh moment to use amd instead then ? or am i missing something here that explains why they are still being used ?
Some ppl want to do more than gaming. The i7 is a fine cpu (with a good gpu you won't have a problem gaming). The 7800 is an awesome cpu but it's not the only cpu ppl should buy. Today the 7800x3d is around $60-$80 more expensive than it used to be IF it's in stock. Just enjoy building a pc ffs..
Does anyone know what program that he’s using to see his FPS/Latency in game?
Think it’s msi afterburner with river tuner statistics
Frameview or MSI afterburner
Is this a good build for Roblox or Minecraft?
No, too graphically demanding
hello, what fps counter are you using?
@AccuracyNZ doing an i7 + 4080 build for $2k is ganna be tough. You would have to get the CHEAPEST mobo, ram, ssd, case to be close. Better to be balanced and to find the best cpu that doesn't bottleneck the 4080
@@lookalikafish ??
Monitor name plz
In Alan wake wasnt that at 1920x1080 not 4k?
Great vid as always. If I wanted to go for the 3DX what motherboard would you recommend?
Is there any video that can build the most cost effective intel i9 14900k machine with rtx 4080ti. Forget luxury.... Bang for buck with peak function without looking flashy like rgb or fancy fans.
Can anyone tell me which monitor he is using
hot daum, that heatsink on the Gigabyte gpu.
I thought that you hate radiators. 😌
I really want to upgrade, so unsure, can anyone help?😅
Great content as always. Just one minor gripe. You're British so it's Zed not Zee.
didn't know 4080 super was in 2023
🤣 fixed
it released january 31st 2024
I really like the look. I could never afford this pc, though 😢 mines quite old. I pay too much tax. I hate paying tax.
