For some reason this stage made me really want a remake of Freedom Planet 1 in the style of Freedom Planet 2
Dude, that would be awesome, maybe a DLC pack for Freedom Planet 2 with a few levels from Freedom Planet 1
Once you watch through all the Time Capsules, the image of Lilac perched atop a mountain of water dragon bones takes on a far more melancholic meaning. She carries the hopes and dreams of her entire species on her shoulders.
You know you're in for a hell of a time when the par time comes up as *_15 Minutes_*
This hit me like Pangu Lagoon 2 did in the original, and it cemented the game as an absolutely amazing experience for me.
Legend has it that at least 5 of the 7 years it took to make this game were spent making this level
Is that really the case?
lmao it took me 20 mins to beat it the first time holy crap
@@BenjaVeraV same:,)
It took me 7 years to beat this level.
@@BenjaVeraV took me 35 mins first try, man I suck at s p e e d p l a t f o r m e r s :)
SPOILERS AHEAD
This stage is likely an ancient factory where Water dragon slaves were building Bakunawa for their Earth dragon masters. A murderous "incident" the Magister was referencing likely took place here. Which means that not all bones in the lower sections belong to skeleton cyclops - some of them are Water dragons' remains. It must've been hard for Lilac going through these tunnels and seeing that yes, Merga was telling the truth.
I feel even more bad for Lilac and Merga with that context.
very intriguing theory
Perhaps that also applies to the bones in the secret stage..?
@@bifiankin Bakunawa's laser heat incinerating boarded workers
@@bifiankin Yes. Bakunawa's cannon was supposed to be a mining laser, which means that everything it "destroys" is actually stored inside bakunawa itself. Basically, the incinerated bodies of the water dragons are now inside the machine. Very dark detail if you ask me
Just finished my first Lilac playthrough (and my first run of the game overall), and this is definitely the standout level in the game for me. What a level, and *what a soundtrack*. This kind of vibe is exactly what I look for in video games. Massive thanks to the entire Galaxy Trail team!
It was around this stage where I started thinking the game was so good it was actually scary.
The way the beat kicks in at 0:40 and progresses from there reminds me of the Werehog stages from Sonic Unleashed, which is some of the highest praise I can give. This is incredibly atmospheric.
Chill music for genocide-sized execution graveyard.
it feels like someone said "I wish Hidden Palace Zone was longer" once too many times and the monkey's paw curled. Not even really complaining, because I absolutely love this stage's moody setting.
This level reminded me of my first playthrough of FP1 where some levels took me like 20-30 minutes to beat back when i was 12 (wow time flies) i kinda was hoping we’d get another one of those long puzzle stages, and this sure delivers and the music really adds to that feeling of nostalgia
The second 0:57 Hit I was like *OH ITS THAT SONG THE ONE I LOVED*
After I play games I need to have the ost on RUclips because my brain is the worst at remembering
Are you talking about Aqua Tunnel or Thermo Base?
@@BlueCollaredK9 it does have aqua tunnel missed in it a bit. Besides the alpha ost leila released back in like 2015
Became my favorite track, Phoenix Highway is so good too
this soundtrack is so beautiful!!! All the time i wasted to get through this level were worth it
First time playing this stage, I just stopped and listened to how lovely this track is
One of the best levels of the game, I liked so much. Don't pay too much attention to me but at this level I had serious vibes of Mirror Temple in Celeste game
Very, very memorable track!
On the one hand, this stage can take some time to finish
On the other hand, so would the music
So I say it evens out nicely
When I first heard this track, my jaw dropped from the sheer emotions I was feeling from this. This is story telling at its finest
Day 102, still stuck in ancestral forge.
💀
Cordelia be like
Have you clear the level yet? Asking in April 2024
@@QF_Dan72 no =C
I’m instantly buying this when it gets on console in the summer
This track greatly reminds me of Darius Twin, wayy back on the SNES ♥
I felt like I cheated at some parts with Tundra Ray on this stage with how I was able to reach certain platforms I couldn't without it
Aaaa this is one of the best ones!
My favorite track in the game! Even though the stage was a bit confusing.
I also like how when you begin the stage it doesn't immediately start until you're some ways in.
"Um... Hello? Lilac? Neera? Spade? Oh no... I think I'm lost!" - Milla
3:03 The best part 4 me.🤩
Best lv theme. Mysterious and so somber that guitar wailing my heartstrings.
Thus is amazing
This stage kind of reminded me of a Shantae dungeon.
Ah, Ancestral forge..
This stage's track has been burnt into my brain, simply because its the stage I use to test monitor issues..
same for me but because it took me so long because i didn’t know where to go. now i can beat it in like 10 minutes but it was always 40 before
Sonic .. A sea palace.
Navigating in this level really screwed with my head.
Took me about 30 minutes to get through it. On a positive note, I enjoyed the music at least.
Beat song is this game with songs that top just about every game I have i wish this was on Spotify along with every thing else I would listen to this all day very day for a long time before I got bored if I ever did
This track gives out the same energy as "Luna Base" from Spark the Electric Jester
so true corporal adrian shepherd I agree
I wasn’t the only one who was creeped out by the huge piles of bones, right?
0:56 and 3:03 are my favorite parts
Only I can hear tnat that one starts with the same tune as Dragon Valley? If so, it actually makes sense because Dragon Valley is the place where Lilac - the last water dragon - has been living for a long time and Ancestral Forge is the place where Bakunawa repair works have been held and also where other water dragons have spent a lot of time working for earth dragons.
Is anybody else reminded of “The Days When Mother Was There” from Persona 5?
This level took me 32 minutes on first playthrough 😂
My toughest part was that water segment. Why are all water-based puzzle room so tedious!?
this level took me 34 minutes on my first playthrough as neera and 41 on my second as carol
Same.
21 minutes for me
I'm getting Lost World from "Sonic Adventure" vibes. And it is amazing!
Yess, I knew immediately where that chanting sound effect was from ^^
Where can I buy the soundtrack :)
dope!
Fp’s music never fails to amaze me
Music is great, hated the stage
Play this at 1.25x or 1.5x speed
the beta mogs this
If i see any jtards here searching up toai music
here
This is now my favorite theme.😎
Same
Stage kinda sucked, but this calm, atmospheric track makes up for that.
It didn't suck wtf it was just a different kind of level.
@@gamerprince-tl5hg I'd argue it overstays its welcome a bit.
I enjoyed the stage quite a bit, it was calming and had nice gimmicks. The boss tho... Literally my least favourite boss fight in the entire game.
@@dreamylanaa ironic, it was easier with lilac for me, carol on the other hand was hard as hell (maybe bc i'm a scrub and i suck at using the jump disk properly)
Milla was hard for me as well, I just dunno how to kill these skeletons fast before boss is going on me
