Today, I finished this two hour project over about three days! I’m rather pleased with the outcome, for my level. Thanks so much once again, @David Jansen, for your time, effort, patience, skill, energy, enthusiasm, dedication and passion. You’re a fantastic teacher, many have said this before me, I know, and for a reason!
I received my global palette, brushes and more paint today, but I can't stop watching your videos! Your playlist is like a smorgasbord of deliciousness! And, you don't seem to age at all!
I love this victorian style vase of flowers, I wish I can send you a picture of what I am painting now. Your videos are very helpful to me and you are right when blending alot on the canvas I get one tone color for the rose😅👍
I just learned more about painting, particularly acrylic painting, from this video than I have from all the videos I have seen before. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and talent.
Thanks Alan. Remember not all acrylics are the same, but painting with "tones" rather than blending really works with all acrylics. It is an amaing way to approach the painting.
These lessons are very humbling, I didn't realize how much there is to acrylic painting that I really didn't know how to do but I find your tutorials fascinating, when you first mentioned how you don't have to blend but rather get your tones right it was like a lightbulb went off in my head, everything I thought I knew went out the window and it's like learning how to paint from the beginning. I really appreciate you taking the time to do these lessons for free and sharing your years of experience with everyone, how you do not have more subscribers is a mystery to me because I was hooked after the first lesson which was one of your alla prima lessons on a white rose, thank you for your wisdom!
I started the channel years ago, but never really did much because I was still travel teaching. Now that I am not traveling, I have begun to build this channel. Hope more come to learn. Thank you so much 😀
@@JansenArtEducation here in israel it is midday . I am folowing your study practicing your art teaching for roses it is so beautiful. Well i am doing my best. With the advice for your ton color. I wish i could join your class.. and i am thankful for your vidios .it is like a privite lesson. Be well and hoping to c your next teaching..good day all the best.
Here I am again David☺️ I watch the paint on your palette, wondering how you keep them fresh. My problem is that the little dots of fresh paint has a tendency to get a dried cap relatively quickly 😢
Hi Mr David, I am fan of your teaching and talent ... I am french and live in Paris ... can you tell me where I can find Heritage acrylic and medium ? ... thank you very much
I do both. This one I had a picture of a vas and I added elements from there. I don't like to work too much from a photo because I try to copy too much. I like the freedom of just using it as a reference as you need.
You mention an artist Mortimons? Mortemens?...I can't find him because I don't know how to spell it. Can you give the spelling of the name? I have learned a lot from this video, not only about acrylic painting but all painting in general.
No. We only speak English. It would cost about $400 to pay to have this video translated. Then we would have to do it in many other languages. Impossible for us to do on a free video lesson. Sorry.

Have fun! I am aging, at least that is what my morning walks are telling me. Enjoy the paints and let us know if you need anything. 😀
You are a Master!!!

Hi Karin, His name is Frans Mortelmans. Beautiful artist.
@@JansenArtEducation Ah, thanks. I was way off on spelling.
How can I find a drawing of this?
There is no drawing. I drew the vase and roses in the video.
