If we are strict, the UK were esclavist at a point that their colonies revealed against. The UK were stealing their resources and kidnapping them, just like the Orokin did with their colonies. What u say is that it was necessary just because it generated the rules the system use? Think it this way: they created the sentient, the grineer and the infested. The sentient almost vaquish every sign of life con the sistem, the infested almost consume every single biological life-form and the grineer survived to "conquer" the system. It seems Natah possesses the ability to change her form, given her adoption of Margulis' body and the mimics seen in The Sacrifice, which are presumably shards of her, as there is no other reason we'd not have encountered them before.
Seeing the art of the sentient's outposts, i wounder how big does warframe will become. And how deep the lore will be. I think DE needs to do the same thing that 343 did with halo; this is, produce books, comics, light and graphic novels, and do some spin-off games that can take Warframe to its well-deserved place next to halo, metro, assasins's creed (before yhou know what). I can't wait to see the announcement of the "Tau System Expansion". And when that comes, i can see the Tenno being trapped on a 2-fronts war bigger than themselves. Fighting along with grineer and corpus to erradicate the orokin and sentient menace. I even imagine this war bigger than those seen on star wars, star trek or even halo. I really, really, can't wait.
I would prefer if with the expsnsion we get new factions to fill the grey areas of war. Not judt corpus and grineer. Cuz i rather not side with either of those 2. Moreso id like to see a faction step in to size up the sentients. Then again, i aint need no truce, boi i play nidus ill fuck em up myself
@@Verystoic i know this is an old comment, but if that was too happen it would need.. very specific circumstances since the grineer and corprus control so much shit, they're basically the two power houses and actively try to stomp out any group that starts growing, or that they're aware even exists. Though we do have the syndicate factions, we could get more of those or possibly have 2-3 new factions form from allied syndicates
Going back and forth between Rob and DK... I can honestly say, only you can make lore interesting. Thank you for the amazing series of lore videos you have created.
Its funny how power creep is so fast in this game. After you unlock tier 2 amps for your operator, those Battalysts and Conculysts on Lua become relatively harmless. Even sortie level versions of them get stun locked to death by your operator.
I truly believe there are other hunhow class sentients out there. He specifically mention it during the natah quest i think. The line goes like this "as i wake, soon the others will follow" and i don't think he'll refer to them as others if its just his fragments. So possibly in the future we might face other sentients very much like hunhow. Also about the tau system. I always imagined that the warframe universe will have to go there. Using the rails that the sentients built. Because the orokin were having a crisis of scarce resources and i dont see how the current warframe universe survives when there was " supposed to be a lack of resources" that even forced the orokin to break their own law
the orokin empire spanned the entire origin system, the resources were mostly wasted on luxury for the high class people. now everyone must fight for every scrap of resource that they have. the shortage is still there, its just less pronounced as there are not people wasting 90% of those resources on pointless luxuries.
If there's something that proves your right regarding the Orokin being monstruously frivolous, besides of course using gold for everything, has to be the Ayatan sculptures.
Hunhow probably sent the info about his daughters betrayal back home, and soon enough we'll face consequences of that call. Outposts are built not only for fun. But to hold a position. Why? Because you either will need to advance or retreat. Sentients won't retreat. They will continue the war effort. Outposts will become the staging grounds for a second Old War
Your best documentry yet. I never knew the Sentients motivation for attacking the Orokin. Now I know the Flaw included not only vulnerability to the Void but intentional death to to all the Sentients.
Love the way you talk, it's like you know but are telling us it's a theory at the same time, like your answering questions with questions. Complicated...love it!
Holy shit, dude. Out of all your lore vids, this one has the most interesting points to keep in mind. So far the best one, behind the Orokin one and the Timeline!
I have a guess that Lotus was using Margulis's body all this time - and that Margulis had lain "dormant" within her own mind as Lotus took over. It's possible that when the Orokin sentenced Margulis to death, Lotus somehow saved and repaired the body for her own use. Since Hunhow can control War and anything remotely "conected" to him, then that means that the real form of Lotus is somehow controlling Margulis's body and therefore without a body to puppet to connect to her Tenno. I'm betting it was the headpiece and Lotus controlled Margulis's body through it. This is one reason why I believe Ballas keeps calling Lotus "Margulis" - he was referring to her body. When he cut off the connectors tethering "Margulis" to the pod, he also somehow awakened Margulis - overriding Lotus's control and remove the helmet. The only "slight" wrinkle in my theory is that Lotus was able to disconnect and control Margulis out of the pod when she personally came and carried the operator into their own transference pod. It's possible Margulis was still dormant, allowing Lotus free reign to control the body like a puppet. The only other theory I have is that Ballas is a necrophilliac and simply implanted his memory of Margulis into the shell of Margulis to give it a semblance of limited sentience to act like the Margulis he remembers.
Has anyone else noticed the sentient ship in the distance in the PoE that’s significantly bigger than the rest? It’s easiest to see with an arch wing and if u go high enough and look around you’ll see a giant sentient drop ship in the background
My absolute favourite enemy faction. I got genuine goosebumps when i first saw the Tombs of the Sentients Trailer. And i was a bit disappointed by how little they have been implemented yet - not to mention my despise for fighting the Teralyst after literally nearly 200 fights against him. As for the Sentient Mothers, look no further than to the dialogue between Lotus and Hunhow during the final mission of the Natah quest. "As i awake, so will they. They will say you are riven and want to reclaim you. I will not be able to stop them." Hunhow is directly pointing towards other sentients on an equal level which apparently communicate in an even level / maybe even democratic power structure. And this reclaiming process may already be under way as far as we know thanks to the apostasy prologue!
I don't think they exactly attacked the Orokin in a rage upon realizing they were expendable - it was mentioned that, once the Sentients grew intelligence, they began turning Tau into a utopia. One that they knew the Orokin would ruin with their greed - so they struck first, before the Orokin could find another way into their new system
I hope DE can create more different variant of sentients with different gimmick, because operator still rarely used by players outside of eidolon hunt and kuva mission. I mean, fighting battalyst, conculyst and shadow stalker doesn't neccessary need operator if you fight them carefully, plus operator easily get fall out in endgame. They should make operator stronger as well than just adding more eidolon giants.
CK Memory people forget that the operator void dash is great for traveling, use the melee to knock enemy’s down. All amp are silent, operator can go through lasers and gerneer force shield thing on the door.
CK Memory huh? i use my operator to kill sentients everyday lol the operators weapons destroy them easily. also lvl up your focus & operator is very much survivable @ lvl 200 even more so with arcanes from the quill. the prob is most ppl arent seeing exactly what the frame/operator can really do.. its amazing & fun.
TheDragonfriday Yes I know, I usually use operator in sortie spy so I don't get shot while hacking. But operator is just too weak for endgame sentients fight if that will ever be a thing.
CK Memory i don't know about you, but my Operator has 1200HP and 400 armor, easily outtanking most of my frames. They become incredibly useful once you unlock more of their abilities. Damage should not be their primary focus, we have Warframes for that.
makes operator stronger and completely forget that you have a warframe yeah thats a better idea. the thing is DE still in struggle on how to synergize the two tenno and there warframe but it was already been giving us the clue in the second dream that our warframe have the possibility to go operational without the operator inside as for the glimps of it in the second dream part were it pulls hunhow sword from it
So wait. Lotus(Natah) is a sentient, one called mimic queen. Who like many of the other sentient had lost their ability to have children. So when she got a new batch of children to take care of, the Tenno she turned on her own kind.. Jesus... that actually makes so much more sense now. Why didn't I piece that together myself. Her love and devotion to the Tenno always felt weird to me, but now that I see she had become a barren mother and was given children to look after, it is no wonder she clung to them so dearly.
Bruh... the sentients is where warframe changed for me. All of a sudden my guns and incredibly overpowered frames wouldnt even dent these beings. I knew the threat was real and now i am dedicated to being Tenno more now than ever!
Probably one of the reasons why Luna was casted into the void to keep the Tenno safe and to keep the sentients from accessing ballas’s and the rest of the orokin archives because god help the origin system if the sentients access that type of tech
Wanted to share a Theory about the stalker. It's possible Stalker is 2 people, one side (the one who became the frame) not wanting to kill the tenno, and the other side (the low Guardian) wanting to kill the Tenno. This would explain a lot of things.
And now the answers for some of these questions are in "The Sacrifice" quest. Yet it still leave us with some more cliffhanger. Hope u create new video soon regarding the last quest from operator trilogy. Nice video
Makes you wonder if they didn't stop after destroying the Orokin because they also wanted to ocupy the Origin System, which meant to destroy not just the Orokin but all humanity, Tenno, Grineer, Corpus and colonies alike. For what purpose through? that would be an interesting question, considering they could have just returned to Tau after slaughering the Orokin to ensure they would not then extermiate them, but it would be interesting if the sentients are doing all this, because that out there at Tau, they're at war with a TRUE alien race or something similar.
I have a different theory regarding the Arcane Machines. While the Sentient fragment is clearly Sentient, the machine appears to be of Orokin design. I think that they might be Sentient prisons. When the Arcane Codex fragments are inserted into the Arcane Machine in Stolen Dreams, the Sentient fragment inside vanishes, and we get a quote from a Sentient that may or may not be Hunhow. Later, in The New Strange, Chroma, who we can fairly safely say is being controlled by a Sentient in one way or another, appears to be going around emptying Arcane Machines. It could be that the Orokin found some way of imprisoning the minds/Oro of Sentients within the Arcane Machines, and, by releasing that first Sentient during Stolen Dreams, we started the chain of events that would lead to Hunhow (and perhaps other "dead" Sentients) awakening. The statements made by maybe-Hunhow during Stolen Dreams and The New Strange have some significance as well. "All is silent and calm. Hushed and empty is the womb of the sky" could be a message meant to be sent upon a Sentient victory, indicating that the Tenno Reservoir (the "womb of the sky" as Hunhow later refers to it directly in the opening scene of The Second Dream) had been destroyed. "Here we shall search and find. The eyes of day drinking the night" is a little less clear, but if I had to guess, it was a message telling the Sentients to seek out Kuva, a dark fluid that could be seen as "night" that was consumed by the Orokin, who have golden eyes, or "eyes of day". As we learn from the Gara fragment entries, Kuva can cure Sentients of their barren wombs, so this message may have been sent by Eidolon before it met its fate to encourage other Sentients to seek out Kuva.
Given the mention that the Eidolon was a "colossal Sentient", it would seem as though, despite Hunhow being the leader of the assault, there were far larger Sentients; the Sentients were likely all unique, with their own fragments, abilities, and drawbacks. This is supported by the Eidolon being harmed by sunlight, whereas Hunhow does not appear to suffer from such. While inconsistent in lore entries, the Sentient which attacked and was killed on the Plains seems to be called the "Eidolon", as are its fragments.
As this has not yet been fully confirmed in the game so far: I suspect the reason Natah became so familiar with Margulis' memories and appearance is because, much like Hunhow was able to project himself into the lifeless matter of the War, Natah could project herself into the dead body of Margulis. It is also possible that this is the reason Natah abandoned her original goal, as its programming was contaminated with Margulis' compassion, creating the Lotus. There is a small amount of support for this in the Chimera Prologue: Ballas was returned to life by stitching him into a Sentient frame, proving that Sentient have the ability to reanimate deceased matter.
I guess Ballas make pact with sentients to revive Margulis, and he betrayed the Orokin. Lotus appearance... well I like to separate Sentients into strains or types, and Natah is mimic strain, that's why she can look like Margulis. For now we don't know if she was really drove by grief and Margulis' compassion or it was her plan all along... Well we, as the Tenno were doing great job "bringing balance" to the Origin System, weakening all dominant factions and inventions that can potentially harm sentients. Zanuka? Fomorian fleet? Hyenas? Lotus made us enemies to our potential allies in the war with the Sentients.
i love how while all of this deep lore is unfolding about the ongoing war most of the tenno are arguing about which female warframe has the biggest butt across the entire system.
Heh. I like the idea of Mutalist Sentients. Maybe a hybrid or something happens. Two conflicting hive minds gaining an agenda separate or even enemy to both Sentient and Infested. Also important to remember the Neural Sentry of Void towers are a third hive mind with Ancients under its command.
And here I thought the sentients were the only true alien race in the warframe universe but they turn out to be another human creation. Tenno are human creations, the infested are human creations, the grineer are human clones, the corpus are humans, the orokin corrupted are all the above...well...corrupted. I mean as much as I want to see the lore of the factions we already have further expanded upon, I really want to see one or maybe even half a dozen legitimate alien races (With no connections to humans or even our solar system whatsoever) introduced into warframe, some hostile, some neutral, others friendly, each with their own technology, culture and heck, maybe a whole new set of planets or entire solar systems to explore.
Never liked Lotus, always knew she had very-very much to hide. Her secretivity coudn't be simply for our protection, she didn't tell us practicaly anything. And now she left us. I'm not surprised.
Regarding the "wee nightmare", as I called it when I've unlocked my -fish tank- habitat and touched the "touch me". Would you really trust a man called _Ballas?_ Would you seriously not think that this mofo is up to no good from _that_ name? Also, remember the old gag with alternative "announcers"? Yeah, about that, this would be the perfect time to _actually_ let me receive the mundane "An assault force is headed you way" with Hek flavor. Or Sargas. Seriously, the supposedly major people need more screen time, Lotus and Ordis can't be having _all_ of it just for themselves, that's just Corpus-grade greedy.
imagine a planet (or station) made by sentients imagine 8 or 12 of those things attacking you at the same time i can imagine DE making something like that in like 5 years from now
Hmm.... A hive-mind in which the progenitor has a mental link (and perhaps a modest amount of control) over its offspring, yet the offspring have individuality from the mother. I... I haven't heard of anything like it before.
First: glad to see you back in the saddle, second: I guess I never considered how the amps were connected to sentients (I knew they were somehow) but I also thought that the warframes themselves were what Hunhow referred to as "fashioning weapons from our bones" now I know warframes are infested in nature but could they also be sentient? I know you kind of touched on this in the video but I feel it goes much deeper than we realize
Oh man you got me wondering. What would happen if the infested and the Sentients worked together? Also hasn't this turned into mass effect now? The Sentimentals being the reapers in this case?I'm not sure how we are going to defeat them ourselves and the only other groups that could help us are Fringe groups most of which don't even have the void technology to fight them.

Love the video, can’t believe you haven’t become more popular than you are, love you theory’s and your sexy voice!
It seems Natah possesses the ability to change her form, given her adoption of Margulis' body and the mimics seen in The Sacrifice, which are presumably shards of her, as there is no other reason we'd not have encountered them before.
Man, I love your videos. The amount of reading and analysis you do is incredible and greatly appreciated, keep up the good work.
Wait, Chromas pelt is sentient???
Right? I always thought it was Infested =O
in the codex, chroma himeslf is classified as an infested. yet in the quest you can hear hunhow's voice.
wait that means some sentient thought today im gonna be a fucking dragon
it is logic when u think of it.
No, is just theory. Is not confirmed by lore.
Humberto de Jesús Domínguez Landeros
Don't let your hopes get that high, I imagine the war would be big, but not Halo or Star Trek big.
Humberto de Jesús Domínguez Landeros Joining grineer, and corpus is pushing it bud, maybe unify the syndicates then attack the enemy.
Even sortie level versions of them get stun locked to death by your operator.
ixiahj because they are vulnirable in the voids energy as for us the children of the void and for them who decays from the void
I wonder if executing dash works on them...
When you don't have that stuff those bastards are basically invincible.
Solar system, not galaxy. There is a huge difference.
If there's something that proves your right regarding the Orokin being monstruously frivolous, besides of course using gold for everything, has to be the Ayatan sculptures.
complete mistype on galaxy instead of system. been playing a lot of stellaris where the scale is a galaxy.
Wow, so ....good. Epic presentation as always!
This....is what we know....
Love the way you talk, it's like you know but are telling us it's a theory at the same time, like your answering questions with questions. Complicated...love it!
Nice video my man.
Single-handedly the best Loreframe (Warframe Lore) channel on RUclips... period. Keep up the good work Stallord! 😄
Some of the best warframe videos on RUclips
My absolute favourite enemy faction. I got genuine goosebumps when i first saw the Tombs of the Sentients Trailer. And i was a bit disappointed by how little they have been implemented yet - not to mention my despise for fighting the Teralyst after literally nearly 200 fights against him.
As for the Sentient Mothers, look no further than to the dialogue between Lotus and Hunhow during the final mission of the Natah quest. "As i awake, so will they. They will say you are riven and want to reclaim you. I will not be able to stop them."
Hunhow is directly pointing towards other sentients on an equal level which apparently communicate in an even level / maybe even democratic power structure.

Great video. I love to dive deep in this lore with you. This makes me want to play more
HAVE ALL MY LIKES PLEASE! I WANT MOAR!
I missed you, and you returned with a video on one of my favorite topics! What a great present :)
I am glad to see that you are back!
i could listen to your voice all day, another amazing video
Thank you for getting straight to the point of the lore.
I am so happy you decided to return to Warframe! Welcome back, and thanks for getting me into the game originally :D
Damage should not be their primary focus, we have Warframes for that.
makes operator stronger and completely forget that you have a warframe yeah thats a better idea. the thing is DE still in struggle on how to synergize the two tenno and there warframe but it was already been giving us the clue in the second dream that our warframe have the possibility to go operational without the operator inside as for the glimps of it in the second dream part were it pulls hunhow sword from it
Thank you the sentient's were such a mystery and I was so confused on what was going on you cleared a lot up
Love you so much especially the way you say this is what we know
Now I want the devs to make the Tau solar system...
Wow, I actually get the Warframe lore now! Excellent job too; this is some high quality work. Subscribed 😀
Bruh... the sentients is where warframe changed for me. All of a sudden my guns and incredibly overpowered frames wouldnt even dent these beings. I knew the threat was real and now i am dedicated to being Tenno more now than ever!
You make me want to keep playing Warframe. Like, the lore is just so good
Another great video as usual
if the sentients ever found their original blueprints theyd be fkn unstoppable
Probably one of the reasons why Luna was casted into the void to keep the Tenno safe and to keep the sentients from accessing ballas’s and the rest of the orokin archives because god help the origin system if the sentients access that type of tech
Wanted to share a Theory about the stalker.
It's possible Stalker is 2 people, one side (the one who became the frame) not wanting to kill the tenno, and the other side (the low Guardian) wanting to kill the Tenno. This would explain a lot of things.
brb washing my ears
TqLxQuanZ I smell material
The master of lore in warframe has shown himself once more... So happy!!!
And now the answers for some of these questions are in "The Sacrifice" quest. Yet it still leave us with some more cliffhanger. Hope u create new video soon regarding the last quest from operator trilogy. Nice video
Awesome! Thanks man, can`t wait for the next one :)
Amazing as always :D , i needed some loregasm
I didnt even give the tau system a second thought....now im excited for whats to COME
Hunhow did nothing wrong
HIMIK-MAN Ballas and the Orokin did nothing wrong
Tengus backed the Old War
Corpus have always banded together as a tribe and orchestrated all major disasters in the system.
Get out of here, Griffith sympathizer.
Great job... Thank you for this video.
Love your awesome videos bro!
Very well done, as usual.
Theory, Ballas actual colluded with Hunhow to bring down the Orokin empire and it was also his plan to resurrect Margulis.
More than 2 years and the main plot in game still at the same point.....
Well, it's not their fault that Covid happened
Amazing vid, as always.
I love how we can root for these main antagonists as like our equally tragic counterpart
He called this multiverse theory crazy. And yet...
Now this makes me want to know what an infested sentient would look like
update videos
I sleep
stallord's lore videos
*REAL* *SHIT*
i love how while all of this deep lore is unfolding about the ongoing war most of the tenno are arguing about which female warframe has the biggest butt across the entire system.
Most realistic part of the game.
He's back.
Awesome stuff, always.
Fuck yeah, more lore! Thanks Stallord.
Honestly, the Sentients are the good guys. The Tenno are like the Jedi, good intentions, pure hearts, but just on the wrong side.
Yay he is back with more lore
And to think, one year later, StallordD was spot on!!
Heh. I like the idea of Mutalist Sentients. Maybe a hybrid or something happens. Two conflicting hive minds gaining an agenda separate or even enemy to both Sentient and Infested. Also important to remember the Neural Sentry of Void towers are a third hive mind with Ancients under its command.
no matter how hard i try to understand the story of warframe my brain just clem and grakata making me go to the void( the kitchen).
As soon as you said alien like i thought of the sacrifice ending
Chroma was born to make quick work of sentients!
Never liked Lotus, always knew she had very-very much to hide. Her secretivity coudn't be simply for our protection, she didn't tell us practicaly anything. And now she left us. I'm not surprised.
Please make a updated video
Man I love this lore, i can't wait for umbra.
Or Sargas. Seriously, the supposedly major people need more screen time, Lotus and Ordis can't be having _all_ of it just for themselves, that's just Corpus-grade greedy.
imagine a planet (or station) made by sentients
imagine 8 or 12 of those things attacking you at the same time
i can imagine DE making something like that in like 5 years from now
Hmm.... A hive-mind in which the progenitor has a mental link (and perhaps a modest amount of control) over its offspring, yet the offspring have individuality from the mother. I... I haven't heard of anything like it before.
Excellent job
Cant wait for more sentient lore or cinematics
My mans back!
What warframe is that at @3:46
Autonomy COG dope operator
Lord StallordD is alive!!!
Im under the impression that giant sentient u see in the plains before the new war, is Natah and Erra's mother
My wild guess or let's say wish is that DE's next pivot is going to be The Sacrifice which includes a open world map in the Tau system.
