Yeah I have pretty thick hair and find that this clay dries out very quickly and has the most tugging out of the clay products I've used. With the medium hold my hairstyle falls apart after 3 hours.
try baxter of california clay. they're easier to apply, they don't dry as much, and in my opinion it's much stronger than the arcadian clay. But the only downside is washibility, not very difficult, but you need shampoo to fully remove it. But also it's the only reason why they don't tug and dry, it's because it's not water based.
Off topic, but did you try Fibre Royale from Triumph & Disaster ? If yes what do you think about it ? I've been using Daimon Barber Texture Clay (my go to) for years and wanted to try Norther Lights (which sound similar) or Fibre Royale (I also like the packaging on this one lol).

With different laws and regulations in the UK and Europe, companies can’t always ship internationally. You would also potentially have issues with customs and duties. Hopefully another European retailer gets it in
I just wish they would change the advertised hold to what it actually is tbh. People who don't know better would think that this stuff would be strong since the strength is labelled as "High Hold". It simply doesn't match advertising imo
I do agree that “high hold” is misleading. But every reviewer comments the hold as a medium so I don’t see an issue as of now. High hold to me just refers to volume, not strength

I wouldn’t trust the lights in my bathroom over what I say in the video. Direct lighting is bound to reflect off of the hair, but this product is definitively matte
my local selller told me that there's no difference between this and the most recent one (the second reformulation as you metioned, not the one with big letter): scent, consistency, performence... I hope that he didnt lie to me :(
I have discussed it specifically with Eric who formulates Arcadian products. He tried his best to get it similar, but when you change ingredients it is bound to differ. He also agreed with the majority of my statements that differ between versions.

Arcadian Clay is not something I would recommend for thick hair, but I review products for fine hair like myself

Never tried the Fibre Royale. Might recommend Arcadian Matte Paste as something similar to DB Clay.

How does the hold compare to previous versions?
Arcadian Clay has mediocre hold, similar to the rest. Light weight, tons of texture, use it for flowing styles or very short hair
any chance to review the arcadian cedar vanilla?

Slickboys usually stocks it! If not them, you can usually buy it from moquers or alphamen in the Netherlands or Sprezstyle in Germany.

I will admit, low shine products are not something I use a lot. Take a look at Solstice from Flagship, it’s strong hold paste with some shine to it.

Your hair was already styled and had stuff in it... What's it like applying to dry hair with nothing in it?
Same opinion whether prestyled or with nothing else. It’s a hassle free product

Was never a huge fan of this tbh. I think my hair is probably too long and coarse.
